《PAINTER'S MODEL》12: SEEN

"Nice!" The fashion designer pulled his thumb up and then pats the majority of us on the shoulder. You smiled as the makeup artist continued to remove the makeup and other accessories on you. You have just recently finished the fashion show. The presence of the audience in the fold of chairs slowly leaves the building.
The fifty-seven-year-old man came up to you, giving you a pat on the shoulder similar to the others. "You did well too, (Y/N)! Keep up the good work." He congratulated. You nodded and give him a big smile in return and the man goes and congratulates another.
You got up and walked towards one of the changing rooms once all accessories and makeup is removed from you. You hastily changed your clothes from the outfit created by the fashion designer to your casual fit.
You stretched, sighing when you hear your bones give a sound. You slung your bag over your shoulder and left the room, leaving the building.
You don't have any more plans at the moment. The fashion show which is the big event for this month is also done. You scratched your neck.
You should message Calvin about the painting.
You remembered Calvin talking about a painting he is going to do with you during the dinner days ago. You know for a fact that he is going to work on it immediately, based on past experiences.
The dinner with Calvin and Lois was very awkward. When you tried to pull Lois back, he squirmed away from your hold and punched Calvin once again.
You shuddered, recalling the memory of witnessing violence and their faces full of blood and bruises. Luckily, both of their energy slowly goes away, and you all went back to eating dinner (with the help of the maids cleaning the area up and providing new food in replacement for those that were thrown during the fight.)

It's so odd how you all went back to eating the food as if a fight didn't just occur seconds ago. Although the dinner was awkward, both you and Lois went home feeling replenished from the fine meal.
You breathed out, observing how fog visibly comes out of your mouth. The weather is really cold today. You're glad you're wrapped up in a scarf.
You pulled out your phone, gliding through the contacts until you stopped at the name "Calvin Doris."

Good day, Mr. Doris. Can I ask what date would the painting be done? Please send the time and location for the collaboration too pls, thank youuu!

'That would do.' You thought bringing your phone back into your pocket.
You whistled, turning your head around trying to find the same car that your boyfriend uses. He usually picks you up after events like this.
Your faces scrunched up in confusion. Where's the car?
Finally, you spot one that looks similar to the car Lois uses. You grinned and walked closer.
Oh.
The plate number is different. It's not the same plate number the car has. You watched the car move away from you, the driver regarding you as a usual stranger.
You pulled out your phone once again. Dialing the number of your boyfriend, you placed the speaker of your phone next to your ear.
Suddenly, a ringing sound was heard. You turned around and saw a phone left on the concrete ground, ringing with your name and a heart flashed on the screen.
Your eyes widened. You shakingly pressed the red button on your phone, stopping it from calling, and just in time, the phone ringing on the ground stopped in unison.
"No way," You dashed towards the phone on the ground. "No fucking way." You crouched down and flipped the phone around, seeing the familiar phone case of your boyfriend.

It was a transparent phone case, making the polaroid photo of you and Lois visible.
You hold the phone to your chest, analyzing your surroundings if possibly Lois might have left his phone there.
You tried to look at the faces of the people around you, ending up in none of them looking familiar.
You walked up towards people with a frantic face. "Hey! Hello!" You tried grabbing the attention of a group of people who seems to be in their early twenties.
"Have you seen some guy dropping his phone? Or like, having a phone like this? Or maybe even the face like this?" You shot them multiply questions, bringing Lois' phone out, turning the around, and pointing at the face of your boyfriend in the polaroid photo.
One of the people shook their head, muttering a "no, sorry." And the rest follows the same.
"Alright," You nodded, tears slowly welling up in eyes and you turned away. You could feel them turning curious glances at your retreating figure.
Their eyes also followed one who is walking close behind you.
You decided to go back into the building to try to see if Lois might have waited for you inside. You hope you could see him.
Everything was dark by the time you entered. The lights are turning off and the staff is fixing everything up. There are only a few people left inside the building.
You crouched down against the wall near the entrance, waiting for Lois to make himself visible if he ever is present.
Your eyebrows furrowed. You felt something crawling up your back.
"Bleh!!"
Lois sat there with his tongue out and his eyes rolled. You stumbled away and screamed.
You screamed while he lets out a big laugh, barely catching his breath. "Holy damn!" He leaned back from how much he was laughing.
You began to realize the situation. This man was pulling a prank the whole entire time.
His laughing came to a halt when he saw the scowl on your face. "Aye, it's just a harmless joke—" You cut him off with a punch to his chest.
"I was worried you asshole! I thought you were kidnapped or something!" The tears you hold back began to flow down your eyes.
Lois raised his arms and pulled your body towards his, bringing you into a hug. "There, there, let your tears out in reaction to this cool and funny prank. It's okay, shuuuuush..." He smirked, rubbing your back. You glared up at him.

LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER (Completed)
Lady Chatterley's Lover is a novel by D. H. Lawrence, first published privately in 1928 in Italy, and in 1929 in France and Australia. An unexpurgated edition was not published openly in the United Kingdom until 1960, when it was the subject of a watershed obscenity trial against the publisher Penguin Books. Penguin won the case, and quickly sold 3 million copies. The book was also banned for obscenity in the United States, Canada, Australia, India and Japan. The book soon became notorious for its story of the physical (and emotional) relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of then-unprintable words.
