《I'm the Bad Boy's Sweetheart (Completed!)》Chapter 15- Taste of Apple Cider

Adriana P.O.V.
I nearly drooled at the sight of Norman's car. He had a fully restored sleek black 1959 Cadillac Sedan Deville with red racing stripes. He rolled down the window and I nearly laughed in his face.
With the badass car you would expect a delinquent in sunglasses with a lip ring to be behind the wheel but instead sat Norman, with his glasses perched on his nose and a silly grin on his face. I found myself smiling back. He rested an arm out the window and patted the side of the car.
"Hop in."
I walked around to the passenger's side and nearly melted into a puddle. He had new leather seats put in and you could see the new speaker system. I ran my hand over the dashboard and sighed. I turned to Norman and pouted.
"What the hell? How come I get a shitty Jeep and you get a Cadillac?"
Norman chuckled and turned on the ignition. The car purred to life and buzzed under my feet. If this wasn't my first date I would say its my best date ever just because of the car. I turned to Norman.
"So where are we going?"
Norman grinned and didn't look up from the road as he replied,
"It's a surprise."
I whined and touched his arm. I couldn't help but notice how he jumped and slightly tensed under my hand.
"Just tell me."
Norman shook his head and when he turned to look at me I pouted. He turned back to the road.
"The best kind of prize is a surprise."
I rolled by eyes.
"Whatever Willy Wonka."
Norman chuckled and continued to drive.
~~~~~~~~~
A finger poked between my shoulder blades persistently. Groaning, I rolled over.
"Adriana wake up we are here."
I mentally rolled my eyes and ignored the annoying voice disturbing my peaceful sleep.
Suddenly, hands grabbed my sides and tickled me furiously. I screamed and wiggle in my car seat, trying to get away from Norman. Norman laughed evilly and continued to attack my sides. I batted him away, laughing breathlessly and tears gathered at the corners of my vision. Norman chuckled and opened the car door. He got out but before he closed the door he poked his head in and teased,
"You drool in your sleep."
I gasped and furiously wiped at my mouth. Norman's chuckle echoed through the car and I blushed. I got out of the car and wind pulled at my hair. I looked around and saw we were in an orchard. The sweet smell of apples washed over me and a few petals fell from the blossoms blooming on the trees and tumbled and danced on the breeze around me. The blue sky was lovely and bright and the sun beat down on my back. I turned to Norman and he smiled sheepishly at me.
"I know that this isn't a classic first date..."
I placed a finger over his lips, smiled at him and whispered,
"It's perfect Norman."
He grinned and stepped onto a dirt road and offered me his hand. I shyly took it and we walked down the road together.
"My grandparents own this orchard. I have come here every spring since I was six years old."
I tightened my grip on his large hand and smiled up at him.
"That sounds really nice. I have always lived in the city. I wish I could live somewhere like this."
I let go of his hand and spun around in the fluttering petals of the apple trees. Norman leaned against a tree and watched me with amusement. I fell back on the soft baby spring grass and sighed in contentment. Norman flopped down on the grass next to me and grabbed my hand. I lifted my hand and pointed to the fluffy clouds dancing across the sky.
"That one looks like a lion."
Norman chuckled and pointed to a small one beneath it.
"That one looks like a bird."
We continued to look at the clouds till the sun was nearly set over the mountains into the horizon. I started to sit up but Norman pulled me back down. He pointed up at the sky again and when I looked I saw the first star twinkling down at me.
"This is why I brought you out here. Tada!"
Norman pulled out a picnic basket from behind a tree. I laughed when he fluffed up the blanket and it smacked him in the face. Norman gave me a goofy grin and laid out sandwiches and sparkling cider. He poured it into a styrofoam cup and I teased,
"Wow so fancy Norman."
Norman winked and handed my the cup.
"Only the best for milady."
I laughed and took a sip of my cider. The crisp taste of fresh apples pricked at my tongue and I sighed in contentment. Norman noticed and chuckled when I looked at my drained cup sadly. He refilled it and handed me a sandwich.
"The cider is home grown and made."
That explains the amazing taste. It made the stuff in a grocery store taste flat and tasteless. I took a bite of my sandwich and fell back onto the blanket again. This was absolutely amazing. Maybe Norman really could help me get over Jake. He was nice, smart, attractive and a shy romantic. He was pretty much every girls ideal guy and I was lucky enough to be on a date with him.
Norman slipped his hand into mine again and pointed up at the sky. I looked up and gasped. The Milky Way was stretched over black can as of the night sky. Norman pointed to various bright colored stars.
"Thats Jupiter. And that one is Saturn. Oh! And you see those three stars over there? They make the Big Dipper. And on the horizon you can see Scorpio."
I chuckled and tried to keep up. I sighed and closed my eyes, feeling the warm spring breeze brush over my skin. Norman began to talk softly and I felt hypnotized by his melodic deep voice. I opened an eye and saw Norman starring up at the stars. He whispered softly, almost sadly,
"I want to be an astronomer..."
I frowned and asked, squeezing his hand slighty,
"Why can't you Norm?"
A slight grin came over his face and he turned to me. He raised an eyebrow,
"Norm?"
I blushed and found myself looking into his sparkling honey brown eyes. The grin fell from Norm's face and I realized he was starring at me too. I blushed harder and tore my gaze away. When I heard a soft chuckle I stared up at the Milky Way and waited for my blazing face to cool down. I was glad it was dark so he couldn't see.
I jumped when a cool hand touched my cheek and gently coaxed my head to turn towards Norm. When I did Norman Stiller's lips met mine.
I froze and felt my eyes stretch wide. I felt my eyes slowly fluttering closed and I hesitantly kissed back. Norman smiled against my lips and cupped my face in his hands. I could taste apple cider on his breath and it was addicting. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held onto him as I drowned in the strange blissful sensation.
After what seemed like an eternity Norman pulled away and rested his forehead against mine. My brain was all fuzzy and I felt dizzy and weak. I just gave my first kiss to Norman in probably the most romantic setting ever.
Norman finally pulled away and I shyly touched his cheek. His skin was hot under my tentative fingertips. His blush matched mine and he stood up and offered me his hand. After he pulled me to my feet he silently packed up the picnic basket.
Norman threw an arm over my shoulder and guided me back to the car. By the time we got there I was freezing and sleepy. Norman rested me in the passenger seat and kissed my forehead after he buckled me in.
~~~~~~~~~~
After driving for a little bit the warm air of the car made me start to nod off. Norman chuckled and lifted up the divider between us and patted his lap. I was too tired to think about safety and all that so I just unbuckled by seatbelt and laid my head in his lap. Norman stroked my hair and whispered quietly,
"Go to sleep love I will wake you up when I get you home."
I smiled and nodded slightly before falling into deep sleep.
