••••
At around eleven at night, we call for pizza.
Which then lead to a five minute argument about whether or not pineapple deserved to be on pizza.
It so does.
So when Rob's phone receives a text message, we all practically jump on it in relief that our hunger will be solved soon.
"Okay, it's here. But it's down at the entrance." Rob frowns as he reads off the message from his phone.
"Okay, Skylar and I will go." Axel decides, already standing up.
"Have fun lovebirds! Don't ruin my pizza though." Rob warns, his smile joking.
Standing up, Axel and I head towards the door. He opens it up for me and I step through into the bright corridor.
"Thanks." I mumble.
Axel and I begin to walk down the corridor, heading for the stairs.
Axel seems to have a skip in his step, looking at me every so often. "So, you know I still haven't embarrassed you yet."
I groan, remembering his promise. "You know, you really don't have to." I shake my head, looking at him.
His jawline should be illegal.
"Yep, I really do." He nods. "Which is why I need to do this."
Stopping suddenly, Axel wraps an arm round my waist and hauls me over his shoulder.
I silently thank god that I'm hungry, because if not I probably would've thrown up all over Axel.
"What are you doing?" I shriek, letting out a giggle.
"You'll see." He whispers before beginning to quickly walk down the stairs.
His back muscles move with every move and I'm painfully aware that my ass is right beside his face.
Suddenly, he stops and walks out of the stairs, onto the ground floor.
"Everyone!" He shouts. "This girl likes pineapple on her pizza so she is now open for insults."
"Oh my god." I laugh, completely confused about how that's the one thing Axel chooses to mention.
"Axel, let me down." I laugh, kicking my legs.
Instead, Axel just uses his other hand to keep my legs down.
"She's also not fallen for my charm yet, so she's basically immune." He shouts again.
If only he knew.
At this point, a few people have come out of their dorms and are watching us completely amused.
"Axel, put me down!" I shout again.
"No." He laughs, clearly enjoying seeing me suffered.

I hit Axel's back and wiggle my legs again, "Please." I plead.
"Are you embarrassed?" He asks.
"Yes, now let me down!" I laugh.
"Okay." He agrees and lets me down.
Quickly.
I fall flat onto my ass, the concrete floor doing nothing to help me.
Pain shoots through my back and I internally groan at what just happened.
"You know, this seems to be happening a lot." I huff, looking up at Axel.
He's grinning, his dimples showing and his blue eyes alight. He offers his hand and I take it, standing up with a groan.
"I'm sorry." He apologises, however he doesn't look apologetic at all.
I shrug and laugh. "It's fine, I'll get you back one day."
Skipping back to the stairs, I make my way down to the front office.
Meeting the delivery guy, who looks pissed beyond belief because of how long he's had to wait, I ask how much it is.
"Eighteen dollars and twenty cents." He nods, chewing his gum obnoxiously loud.
Just as I go to pay, a warm body presses against my back.
Axel leans over me and hands the guy a twenty and takes the pizza. "Keep the change."
We both turn at the same time and face the stairs.
"Race?" He asks.
"You're on." I challenge and begin sprinting.
However I'm no match for a footballer, let alone a quarter back, so Axel quickly over takes me and gets to my corridor before I can.
When we both arrive, I lean against the wall by the door to Rob and I's room.
"Damn I need to work out more." I groan, trying to get my breath back.
Axel drops the pizza on the floor and I wince.
My precious pizza.
But before I can even begin to be sad, Axel comes and stands in front of me. Placing his hands on my hips, our faces are millimeters apart.
"No need, I think we could burn some calories a better way." He whispers, his minty breath fanning out across my face.
"Oh yeah, how?" I ask, exhilaration still running through my veins.
"This." He whispers, before crashing his lips into my own.
The kiss is desperate from the start, both of us needing more. Axel grips me tightly on the hips whilst I run my hands up his shoulders and into his hair.
When his tongue touches mine, I let out a foreign sound that would be classed as a moan. Axel moans back and pushes me against the wall.

"We should stop." I say breathlessly, knowing that Emma and Rob are just through the wall.
"No chance." Axel disagrees before reclaiming my lips.
This time, I don't argue.
••••
Pushing the two pizza boxes into the bin, I let out a huff. It's Friday which means I have a load of coursework to do.
Yippee.
Sitting down at my desk, I'm thankful for the silence.
Rob left half an hour ago, to go meet Drew, a skip in his step as he left.
Spinning round in the chair I begin searching buzz-feed.
Because that's exactly how I'll earn my degree.
Just as I pick up a pencil and load the correct website, my phone rings.
The name 'mom' flashes on my screen. Letting out a sigh, I pick it up.
"Hi honey!" Mum chirps, in her usual happy mood. She's followed by a, "Hey, Skylar." From my Dad.
"Hey guys, how's home?" I ask, suddenly feeling a wave of homesickness hit me.
"It's great! Sun is shining, I just planted some new roses and I didn't get pricked." Mum boasts.
Each to their own I guess...
"That's great mum." I agree.
"How's college going, honey?" My dad asks, his voice already getting higher.
From the beginning of my love of dance, my dad has never supported it. He never stopped me, he just wanted me to do something with medicine or maths.
Which was never going to happen.
"College is going great, dad." I say, trying to remain positive. "I just finished my dance routine that I've worked on, so hopefully you can see it soon."
"Yeah that would be..." He trails off, obviously looking for the right words "Great, I suppose."
I suppose.
Way to make a girl feel motivated, Dad.
"Anyway, Honey, we were just calling to let you know that," I can't hear the rest of my mom's sentence because Rob comes bursting through my door.
"You and Axel made out last night and you didn't tell me?!" Shrieks Rob, waving his hands in the air.
I should be shocked at this, but I already knew this was going to happen.
"Be quiet, I'm on the phone." I hiss, really hoping that my mom didn't just hear that.
"We're talking after, Missy." Rob says, raising an eyebrow. He then jumps and falls back onto his bed, groaning. "Ugh, waiting." Faking a shudder.
Raising the phone back to my ear, I wince as I hear both my mom and Dad's laughter. "What were you going to say mom?"
"I was going to say, that one of your father's friends sons is coming to California and that you two should meet up. But it seems as though you have the boy thing sussed out. Who's Axel?"
"So you guys heard that?" I groan, giving Rob a death glare to which he returns with a smile.
"Every part, Sweetheart and can I just say, I've never been prouder." My Dad says.
I can feel the awkwardness radiating from him through the phone.
"Thanks Dad." I let out a nervous laugh. "And Mom, Axel's just a guy."
"He doesn't sound like just a guy. I can practically hear you smiling from here." Mom laughs.
"I expect to meet him soon." My Dad says, his protective side coming back out.
After saying goodbye, I hang up on my Mom and Dad and spin round in my chair to face Rob.
"YOU KISSED!" He shouts, I have to cover my ears from the sound.
"Yes we kissed, calm down. How did you find out?"
"Axel told me. He looked pretty damn smug about it as well." Rob nods, smiling at me fondly.
"Really?" I ask, my interest peaking.
Rob grins at me. "Really."
Is he feeling this too?
I clear my throat and try to get rid of the blush currently painting my skin. "He's going to kill you because my parents now know about him and it was your fault." I nod, already wanting to see this fight.
"Shit, that was your parents?" Rob asks, suddenly looking scared.
"Yup, they heard every part of your outburst." I laugh.
"Meh, I can take Axel."
Thinking back to Axel's drool-worthy body, I laugh and shake my head. "I don't think you could."
"Yeah, you're right. I'm totally screwed."

Falling for a Star (Complete)
I had never paid much attention to celebrity gossip or what was going on in Hollywood because that was so far from the lifestyle I lived as a poor college student, working as a barista to save up for my own house after graduation. But then, without my knowledge, my Dad submitted my name into a talk show sweepstakes to win a week with Hollywood superstar Dylan Chase, to see what it's like to live like a celebrity for a week. My Dad thought it would be the perfect chance for me to get out of Iowa, see the world and have an adventure for once. I was dreading leaving home, flying for the first time and going by myself all the way to L.A. Plus the idea of spending a week with an arrogant, rich, snobby actor that was probably the worst kind of womanizer didn't sound like my idea of fun. What I found when I got there and met Dylan was the total opposite; a man that was humble, hard working, easy to talk to, and down to earth. Spending a week in Paradise in the guest house of Dylan Chase's Malibu mansion right on the beach, attending a movie premiere on his arm, shopping on Rodeo Drive and eating at five star restaurants was like a dream come true, but sleeping in his bed and falling for a guy from a completely different world than me was never part of the plan because we could never end up together.
