Azalea's POV:
"Come on. It can't be that hard." Dante said, resting on the bed while looking at me get ready for the day.
"Oh, really ? You really braiding my long hair is not that hard ?" I challenged, while braiding my hair.
"How hard can it be ? All you have to do is criss-cross the hair and wrap a srunchie around it." Dante shrugged.
"Fine, then." I said, opening the braids I had done and leaving my hair down. "You try."
"Easy peasy." He said, sitting up on the bed.
I walked towards the bed and sat in front of him. I inwardly smiled knowing that he wasn't going to be able to do it, especially if this is his first time.
"All you gotta do is..." He said, his voice trailing off while he takes a bunch of my hair and another with his other.
I could see what he was doing only because there was a mirror in front of me.
"this" He said, still trying to figure out how to braid my hair.
"this ?" He asked himself.
"and maybe this." Dante mumbled, successfully making a huge knot in my hair.
"Okay maybe out isn't so easy." He admitted.
I smile in victory. "That's what I thought."
"But... I'm good at other things..." He whispered, his hands traveling under my sweatshirt.
His hands were now on my waist, giving me a back hug. I rested my head on his shoulder, ignoring the fluttery feeling in my stomach.
We stayed in this position for a while until Dante quickly laid down on the bed, making me fall too.
I landed smack dab onto his chest. We turned towards each other at almost the same time and looked into each other eyes, our breaths getting quicker by the second.

"A few years ago, I met Anna." Dante started.
"You don't have to." I interrupted, placing my hand on his chest.
He smiled and took my hand in his, interlocking our fingers. "I know that I don't, but I want you to know."
I nodded and said, "If you feel uncomfortable, it's alright. Take you time."
Dante smiled and continued, "Initially, we had the perfect relationship. She was my first so I didn't exactly know how things went.
I took her on dates, gave her gifts, and even our parents liked each other. My parents had always been picky about who I would date." He said, smiling at the memory.
"Anyway, later on, after maybe about," He paused, and closed his eyes tightly, probably trying to think better.
"Maybe about a year and a half later, she started acting differently. Every time we went out together, she would be on her phone and for her birthday, I had booked a hot air balloon ride for us."
When he said this, I thought to myself, Wow, that girl was lucky.
That is so cool. Just imagine being able to see everything and everyone below you. They would look like tiny ants ! I've always wanted to be in one.
"I thought that she would like it but she said that she wanted a car instead." He sighed.
"From then on, she started being distant towards me. Even after I had bought a car for her. One day I saw her talking and laughing with another guy when I had gone to her house to pick her up." He explained, his voice cracking a little.
Knowing that he was on the verge of crying, I pulled him towards me and hugged him.
The fact that he is telling me about his past is a big step in our relationship. The least I could do right now is give him comfort.

"That's when I realized that she didn't actually love me for me; she dated me for my money. So before anything could happen, I broke up with her." He finished, hugging me back.
"There is a reason that I told you this..." He said, pulling away from the hug. As soon as he said that, my heart started to pace faster.
What was he going to say ? Maybe he doesn't want to have another relationship ? What if-
"Stop overthinking, like you always do." His voice interrupted my inner ranting session.
"How'd you know I was ?" I asked, squinting my eyes playfully.
"Because I know you." Dante replied simply.
"You complete me, Azalea. You make me smile when I have no reason to. When everything in my life goes wring, I think about you and suddenly I feel better.
You're a beautiful person inside and out. I can't believe you're mine. I am here for you...always. I'm yours I have been so much happier since we started spending time together. I love you and didn't know what it actually meant until I met you."
He..loves me ? That's what he just said, didn't he ?
"Look, you don't have to say it back right now. I underst-" He explained but I interrupted him.
"I love you too." I whispered.
"What did you say? I didn't quite hear that." He asked, a slight smirk appearing on his face. He definitely heard me.
"I love you." I repeated, now a little louder.
"Huh?" He teased, acting like he hadn't heard me yet again.
"Don't act like you didn't hear me, you doofus." I said, earning a chuckle from him.
All of a sudden, he climbed on top of me. Dante had his arms on the either side of my head. He held his weight on only his arms. Our faces were only inches away now.
My eyes met with his olive green ones. We stared at each other, having a staring competition but I couldn't keep a straight face because I thought of he had just said to me when he poured out his feelings for me.
Soon enough, both of started laughing for no reason, like, at all.
"I'm so happy to be with you." Dante said, looking at me like I was the only girl in the world.
"Me too." I smiled.
Unhesitatingly, we kissed each other like there was no tomorrow. It didn't help that there were butterflies in my stomach right now. He invaded my senses, making me forget that is a whole world other than just us.
But right now there's no place I'd rather be than in with Dante; the love of my life.
