"This is human territory"

Mani braces himself for the door opening any moment as Jojo finds somewhere to hide, choosing to lay on his stomach on the floor and shuffle under his bed. 

The air is tense. Mani knows he is no match for the alpha. He would probably be better off doing the same as Jojo, cowering under a bed in fear of the consequences, but just because he was an omega by name, he was damned if he was going to let it was going to define him.

He could feel the hairs on the back of his neck stand to attention as the door swings open with force. There he stood, Teddy the alpha... his mate.

Mani is ready to try and put up some kind of a fight, but does not expect Teddy to stumble through the door, with traces of blood spattering his naked frame. Mani finds his arms reaching forwards to stop the alpha from collapsing to his knees completely. "Teddy!" He calls out, as he guides Teddy to his bed, laying him down on his back. "Teddy, what's happened to you?" He couldn't help but care, he couldn't help but feel those heart strings pull so tight that it felt like he was the one on the bed. 

"You're still a traitor." Teddy mumbles under a pained breath. The words sound bittersweet to Mani's ears and he goes to retract his hands which were clinging to Teddy's arm, with them only to be pulled back again. "Don't leave me." The alpha pleads. 

Mani stills at the contact, now looking at the bruises and scratches on Teddy's torso. "Who did this?" He asks as he runs his hands over tbe marks. The touch magically makes the wounds ease from the pain. 

Teddy closes his eyes at the feel of Mani's healing hands upon his skin. It distracts him from the question, until Mani repeats it again, this time removing his hands. "Teddy, how did you get these wounds?" 

Teddy now turns to look at Mani, saying one word. A word which puts fear, prejudice and rivalry at the forefront of the mind of every wolfkind. "Vampires." 

"Vampires?" Mani repeats the word. "How are Vampires here? This is human territory."

"And yet here they are." Teddy now sits up a fraction, leaning on the back of his elbows. In Mani's efforts to get away from the wolfkind, had he gone and planted himself in the centre of vampire teritory? Teddy groans as he now reaches forwards to grab a pair of gym shorts which were hanging on the back of a chair. "It was just one who attacked me, but I think there were others..." 

"Ok ok that's it now. Time out, time out!" 

Both Mani and Teddy turn to see Jojo re-emerge from under his bed. "You!" Teddy says, with fire as he goes to get up from the bed, but Mani pushes his wounded frame back down. 

"Teddy, don't do anything rash. I still need to tend to your injuries." His words do indeed cause Teddy to halt in his tracks, though his eyes are still fixed on his room mate. 

Jojo now wonders if he should have emerged from his hiding place, but the news of wolves and vampires was blowing his already overactive mind. "Don't hurt me!" He blurts out, holding up his hands getting a growl from his roommate as a response. Jojo eventually dares to speak again. "I need some clarity if that's ok. It's just… really? Wolves and vampires at my door .." 

"Hey! We didn't just show up, we've always been around. Just that you stupid humans are too blind to see it." 

"That's enough Teddy!" Mani shouts back. "Just stay still." 

Jojo backs away, causing the back of his knees to bump the bed frame, making him sit. "It's an insult to call humans stupid…" 

"It's an insult to say I stink!" Teddy once again gets all riled up and now causes Mani to stand in between the pair. 

"Please just stop this arguing!" Mani looks at each male in turn. First Jojo. The guy he was getting to know, getting a little closer to. Then Teddy, who had this hold over him which he couldn't resist. The need to be near him was insatiable, even though the guy currently had the brain of the typical 'A', something Mani despised.

"He started It!" Jojo dares to say. The comment gets Teddy to his feet. He pushes past Mani and instantly holds Jojo up by his neck. 

Jojo grabs at the thick fingers around his throat, gasping for air. "You dare to challenge me? He is mine, mine!" 

"Teddy!" Mani shouts in panic and also in fear of what he was going to do. "Put him down, we have more important things to deal with!" 

Teddy hesitates, wanting to hold on to Jojo in this way for just a fraction longer, just to get his point across, before he finally lets go. Jojo falls like a ragdoll back onto his bed, gasping for the air he had been denied as he clung onto his throat. 

Mani rushes over to Jojo's side, he feels totally torn in two as to who to console, what he was supposed to do for the best, but as he gets closer, Jojo half heartedly pushes him away with an arm. "Stay away." He breathes out, looking up at the alpha boring holes into him. Was his life worth risking for a guy he had only just met? He stumbles towards the door, managing to open it before heading out into the corridor. 

Mani feels helpless as he watches Jojo leave the room, with the sound of satisfaction hitting his ears from over his shoulder. He turns to see Teddy looking all smug at seemingly showing the lesser rival who was in charge. "He'll not bother you again." Teddy utters with triumph. But it wasn't greeted with gratitude. 

"Who the hell do you think you are, coming into my life and telling me who I can and cannot see?" Mani tries to stand up tall against the alpha. "You don't even know me."

"You are my fate mate, what else do you expect me to do? We are bound by…" 

Teddy is cut off mid sentence by the omega. He gets as close as he dares as he bravely utters the words. "No. I refuse to be your mate."...
