"Eyshu" Aditi muttered with sympathy while she wrapped her arm around a crying Eyshana. Eyshana furiously wiped her tears and took in a deep breath. "I'm okay" she mumbled and walked away. "Eyshu wai-"
"Leave her alone Aditi, she needs time to herself" Sagar cut her off, giving her a small smile. Aditi sighed and sat down on the sofa, running her hand through her thick dark locks. Sagar sat down next to her causing Aditi to lean her head on his shoulder while he wrapped his arms around her, pecking her head. "When will her suffering end Sagar?, it's so painful to see her like that" Aditi spoke with tears. Sagar nodded, "She is strong...very strong, she just needs to let out her feelings more to feel much lighter and more than that she needs to punish them all, that's when she will find true peace" Sagar stated.
Eyshana closed the door behind her and broke into tears, covering her mouth with her hand. The images flashed in front of her like a movie trailer, a trailer of her life. 'Why did they had to come back?, why?...just why?', she thought to herself. She opened the doors to her balcony and lit up her cigarette, taking a puff of the smoke which helped her to calm down.
She closed her eyes and remembered how she had handled her first ever rape case. A case that triggered her mind all over again, a case that caused her to have another panic attack, a case that forced her to go back in time and re-live those horrible moments once again, a case that made her so successful.
"You can do this Eyshana....you can do this" she motivated herself, taking deep breaths as she waited for her client. "Eyshana...calm down, I know you will do good" Sagar encouraged her, giving her a small hug. A knock on the door caused the two friends to snap their heads towards the door. "Come in" Sagar said in a professional tone as he was also a lawyer.

The door opened revealing a young girl who looked around 16-17 years old along with a family, the girl's mother, father, brother and sister. "Welcome, please have a seat" Eyshana stood up even though her legs were shaking with nervousness. The family was in tears as they sat down, the young girl looking emotionless, tears running down her cheeks. Eyshana's heart twisted with pain as she glanced at the rape victim, it reminded her of herself.
"Hi, I will be your lawyer for this case...will-" Eyshana gulped while Sagar placed his hand over her's under the table to calm her down. Eyshana closed her eyes and re-opened them with a confidece face now. "Will you tell me what happened?" she asked with a caring tone. The young girl cried in her mother's arms while the mother narrated the story.
"M-my daughter....she...she was coming back from college until s-some s-street boys started t-to tease her. T-this isn't t-the first time, whenever she walked back home t-they would a-always f-follow her until o-one night she c-came back home late, she....she.." the mother broke into tears including all family members.
"They ruined her, they ruined my child, their stole her innocence and I want justice for my daughter, I want them punished, I want to see those bastards behind the bars, even seeing them dead will give me happiness for what they did to my daughter" the father stated with anger.
Eyshana sighed, tears swelling up in her eyes but she didn't let them fall. Her hand reached out, caressing the victim's hand. "I will do everything in my power to help you" she stated with dedication. The young girl shook with fear but felt safe with Eyshana's words.
"This isn't the first time Ma'am" the young boy who looked around 23 years old spoke. "What do you mean?" Eyshana asked with a frown as she sat up straight. Her brother looked down with sadness, wiping a tear of his cheek while he glanced at his crying sister. "My...my friends, my ex-friends-" he spat out in disgust, "they all had eyes on my sister while I was oblivious to everything. They....they gang...gang ra-" he looked away, biting his lip as tears rolled down his cheeks, his family members also crying with sadness and pain for their daughter's suffering.

Eyshana froze with shock. Sagar looked at Eyshana with worry. He glanced at her hand which was shaking furiously. 'Oh shit' he mentally cursed in fear knowing what was going to happen. "Ma'am, are you okay?" the younger sister asked. Eyshana had her head looking down at the table while she shook, tears streaming down her cheeks, her eyes blood shot red.
She gasped and breathed heavily while placing her hand on her chest. "N-NOOO....P-PLEASE....P-PLEASE DON'T DO THIS" she could here her own screams in the room. Sagar placed his hand over her shoulder only for her to flinch and looked at him with fear but instead of seeing Sagar's face she saw Ezhil's face making her scream.
She fell from the chair onto the floor, shaking as she folded her hands. "P-please....p-please don't h-hurt me....p-please" her voice trembled as she cried. The family looked at her with utter shock. "Eyshana....Eyshana come back...come back...look....look it's me...it's Sagar...breathe....breathe for me" he sat on the floor with her, helping her take deep breaths while cupping her face.
Eyshana listened to his voice and slowly inhaled and exhaled. "Water" Sagar spoke to one of the family members who nodded and poured in some water from the jug which was placed on the table. "Here Eyshu....drink some water" Sagar helped her drink. Eyshana took big gulps of the water and rested her head on Sagar's shoulder who hugged her tightly.
Eyshana looked up at the family. "I'm sorry" she said apologetically. They shook their head and looked at her with sadness, "Don't be" the mother spoke and bent down to hug her.
Eyshana re-opened her watery eyes and sighed, throwing the cigarette onto the floor and stepping on it with her shoe. Without Sagar she would have never had the courage to fight for that case but after his help and encouragement she fought hell and back for her first victim and that was her first win. She smiled when she remembered his words.
"Listen to me Eyshana....fucking listen to me" he gritted out, grabbing onto her shoulders. "You can do this, you can fucking do this, I know my Eyshana, my sister, my best buddy. You worked so hard, so hard to get that degree, why?...so that you can help those who are suffering, that was your aim right?. Don't let your hard work go to waste, don't let those criminals walk this earth with freedom. I know you have it in you, you have it in you to fight for yourself and for those thousands of girls who have gone through the same suffering as you or even worse. I believe in you Eyshana, Aditi believes in you, now you need to believe in yourself"
These words caused her to get up, wipe her tears and fight for these girls making her not only a strong woman but a successful lawyer. She hated herself for still feeling something for that man she despised but what can she do, she doesn't have control over her heart but that didn't mean she will forget everything and do nothing. No, that's not why she became a lawyer and with this thought she went to bed, ready to face those people again but this time she won't let them go that easily, each and everyone will pay for what they did to her and her beloved sister.
