《What I Want ✔》Chapter 25

Aubrey
I breathed in the fresh morning air. The sun hit my skin as Vincent guided me out of the hospital. I will be staying at my parent's house for some time. I just need to focus on myself.
Vincent helped me into my dad's car and made sure I was comfortable.
"Everything is going to be okay now." He smiled.
"Thank you soo much Vincent." I held his hand.
"You don't have to thank me Aubrey. I'm glad you're back. I never stopped looking for you and I'm sorry I took so long. I wish I had gotten to you sooner." He sighed.
"Hey, I think you got to me just in time. I really appreciate you Vincent."
"I appreciate you too Aubrey and you know that I'll always be here for you." He kissed my forehead.
A couple seconds later, we were on our way to my parents house.
"I'm glad you're back little sis. We missed you soo much." Emma squealed as she hugged me tightly.
"Ribs Emmy." I cautioned as she hugged me. I felt a sharp pain jolt through me because of how tightly she hugged me.
"Oh, right! Sorry." She smiled as she pat my head.
"I'm so glad you're staying with us." Blake smiled as he reached out and ruffled my hair causing me to playfully pout.
"I can't be there all the time but just call me and I'll come over." Emma stated and I nodded.
This was nice, spending time with my family but the pain in my heart couldn't be ignored. Nothing could take this pain away. With my innocence taken away, the loss of a child and just being mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted this was all too much to bear. I didn't know how to feel at this point. I was happy that I had my life back but sad because of my now tainted past. Healing isn't going to be easy, especially accepting the fact that I won't be able to have kids because I'm now infertile as the doctor said. But she also told me that sometimes pregnancy can still occur .It will be much more difficult for me to get pregnant,if that can even happen.
"What are you thinking about sunshine?" Emma questioned.
"Just excited to come home." I smiled.

Getting out of the car I sat on the sofa. Looking around the house, memories of my childhood came to life. Emma and I use to spend soo much time running and playing in these hallways.
"Sweetie, we missed you soo much. Welcome home." My mom embraced me as she sat next to me.
"I missed you both too."
"Haden is no longer married to you Aubrey and I know this must be hard. And this is our fault for making you go through what you did with Haden. And it's our fault for what you went through with Anthony. If we hadn't forced you to marry Haden then all of this could have been avoided." My dad sighed.
"Mom, Dad, this is all fine. I know that Haden and I are no longer married and I accept it. It isn't your fault. You thought you were doing the right thing. And for the record Anthony was probably looking for me all along. Please, let's just put this in the past."
"You're right honey. You've always been soo forgiving and kind." Mom smiled.
"What about you and Vincent?" Emma winked as she sat on the sofa.
A huge blush tainted my cheeks causing her to laugh.
"Emmy, quit embarrassing your sister." Mom chuckled.
After making myself at home. I settled into bed and checked my phone. Emma gave it to me as soon as I settled back in.
There was a soft knock on the door.
"Come in." I called and Blake entered.
He sat on the bed with a tiny box in his hand.
"Here, this is for you." He said as he passed the box to me.
"Thank you." I took the box and opened it. My heart fluttered at the sight.
"Oh my gosh. You actually kept this? Thank you. Thank you soo much. I appreciate this. I love it." It was my heart locket pendant I had when I was a kid. I lost it a couple times. There was now an 'A' engraved on the locket. It's beautiful.
"Ofcourse I kept it. Open it."
Opening it. I found a picture of Emma, Blake and I when we were kids. It was one of the rare moments Blake and I were smiling in the same picture. It was an adorable photo.
"Blake thank you soo much." I hugged him.

"I'm glad you like it."
"I love it."
"I just thought it would cheer you up a bit."
"It did." I kissed his cheek.
"Aubrey, I know what you went though was hard. How are you feeling?"
I breathed deeply then answered.
"I'm not okay and I'm not gonna lie about it. But I'm happy to be here. I'm glad to be out of that awful situation. I could try and get my life back on track."
"You're strong Aubrey and you're not alone. We are all here for you. And you will get through this."
"Thank you for the support."
"Anytime. Now why don't we watch a movie?"
"Yes, but you're bringing the snacks."
"Like I had a choice." He chuckled.

Haden
Ivory returned home late and so did I. I took Xavier home and made sure he was okay seeing as our parents were in France for the next two weeks. After Xavier called them and informed them of what happened, they booked flights immediately and would be returning home tomorrow.
"You look beautiful." I smiled as we lay together. Ivory took a long while to respond as a look of discomfort graced her features.
"What's wrong?" I questioned.
"Haden, there's something I have to tell you." She looked away.
"Just help me up please, then we'll talk." She said and I guided her up from the bed.
"Haden, the thing is-
She was cut off by the sound of something dripping down her legs.
"My water broke!" She yelled and I stood there in a daze.
"Haden!" She screeched.
"Oh right..let's go." I helped her down the stairs and managed to grab the baby bag all at the same time.
I got her into the car and began driving to the hospital.
She groaned in the back seat of the car and I sped up a little to try and get there faster.
"Hold on baby. You'll be fine."
We arrived at the hospital in about 10 minutes. They took her immediately while I got dressed to go inside.
"She's having this baby now." The doctor said as the nurses gathered around him.
They split and did what they have to do to prepare Ivory for birth.
"You're gonna be okay baby. Just breathe. " I called to her.
"On the count of 3 I need you to push."
"1."
"2."
"3. Push!" The doctor commanded.
"I need you to do better than that hun. Push harder." A nurse said.
A couple minutes later, the cry of our baby filled the room.
"Congratulations. A healthy baby boy." The doctor smiled.
"Would you like to cut the umbilical cord sir?" She asked and I nodded.
After I was done, she passed the baby to me and I never felt soo much joy.
"Isn't he beautiful Haden?" She questioned and I nodded. He had light patches of blonde hair. After yawning he opened his eyes, revealing chocolate brown eyes.
I passed him to Ivory and she smiled when she saw him.
"Aww, you have eyes like Uncle Sammy. Yes you do." Ivory cooed and I chuckled.
"He's perfect and I love him." I smiled.
"Sorry to interrupt but I have to clean him up." The nurse said.
"I'll bring back your bundle of joy in a second." She smiled.
"Our sweet little Damien is finally here Haden. I'm soo happy. I've never been this excited in my life." Ivory beamed.
"We're finally parents. This is awesome."
The nurse brought him back a short while after. I held him in my arms as he was wrapped up in a soft blue blanket with little stars on it.
He opened his eyes a little and stared at me. He was absolutely adorable.
"Damien." I cooed as I rocked him gently.
In an instant he fell asleep in my arms.
"Ivory, what were you gonna tell me earlier?" I questioned but she had already fallen asleep.
I kissed her forehead and sat on the chair as I rocked Damien.
There was a notification on Ivory's phone.
I didn't want to pry but I had to.
I scrolled through the message.
: .
The conversation ended there. Who were they talking about? And is this the same Anthony that had Aubrey? Then this is more messed up than I thought. Who is Angelo and why does he want money? I think I need to pay a visit to the cops. I need to talk to Anthony. I feel like everyone knows something I don't. I'm clearly missing something here.
This can't be good.
