It's been a week now since we are back in New York. We were back to our respective works. The only difference is that now Xavier doesn't act like a jerk with me. He has been acting all lovey dovey.

Today I decided to visit his office, legal office. I don't wanna visit his illegal office. Uff!

I changed into red colour spaghetti top and a black jeans. I kept my hair open with curls.

As I reached his secretary stopped me.

"Excuse me ma'am, sir is busy."

"Is the meeting going on?"

"No but someone is there inside." She said lowly looking down.

Who the hell is there? To know I went in.

The sight in front of me just shook my world.

Anastasia Williams, Xavier's ex. Almost naked.

For a second or two I couldn't process what was I seeing. On the top of that Xavier was working as if nothing is going on.

"Xavier baby." She said seductively. Thats when Xavier looks up and sees her and me too.

"Anastasia just dress the hell up. Now!!" Xavier yelled at the top of his lungs.

I couldn't watch it anymore. So I ran.

"Scarlet!! Scarlet!! Wait!" But I paid no heed.

When I was in the parking area, someone grabbed my wrist and turned me around. It was Xavier.

"Look Xavier, before you say anything I want to tell you that you can go to her. You don't have to be with me if you aren't happy. Don't think of me please. I know I can't make you happy. The woman you love is in your office please go back to her." Tears coming as a waterfall from my eyes.

"Scarlet the woman I love is standing right in front of me and talking bullshit." He cupped my face.

"What?" I whispered.

"You heard it right. I'm in love with you Scarlet Rivera. I love you so much. You make me happiest in the whole world."

"You really mean what you say?" I asked still not believing.

"Yes sweetheart. I love you." He smiled at me.

"I love you too Xav." I smiled through my tears.

"Really?" He asked surprised.

"I do." I kissed him.

After breaking the kiss, he was the first one to start.

"I didn't have any idea why the hell was she in here and why did she undress herself. I told her to leave. But I really didn't know when she started undressing herself. I just...."

"I trust you." I smiled.

"Believe me Scarlet, I won't ever hurt you or let anyone hurt you. I will protect you with my life. I can't afford to lose you."

"Thank you." I hugged him.

"Why thank you?"

"Because other than my two friends, no one was ever scared to lose me. No one said that he/she will protect me. I feel loved by hearing this."

"You are precious sweetheart." He kissed top of my head.

"I'm so lucky to have you Xav!" I cried in his arms.

"Well sweetheart its the other way around." He tightly engulfed me.
