Third person POV -

Sapphire had no sleep last night, she sat silently in her bed, an emotionless face with big bags under her eyes. It had been a month since her birthday happened and was officially her daughters death anniversary. As Matteo was sent up to get saph, he was confused as to why she was acting this way. No one but Dakota knew what today was.

"Sapphire come down for breakfast" Matt said sternly. Still she sat there staring blankly at the wall, the only indication that she could hear him was the slight, barely noticeable nod she gave him before robotically getting off her bed and making her way past Teo and downstairs. Matteo followed quietly behind her, sporting a concerned face for why his sister is acting this way. As they came to the kitchen she sat, not saying a word, no expression on her face, but her eyes showed pain and grief. The chatter from her family paused as soon as she walked in the room, they too where concerned and worried for how she was acting.

"Fire what's wrong" Elias finally whispered to her.

"Dead. She dead Ellie. It's her anniversary today." She whimpered, resting her head on his shoulder, voice quiet but you could still hear the slight crack and the single tear that trailed down her pale cheek. Shit, he thought. "Okay fire, take your plate upstairs and get dressed, we're going out" she does as he says. "It's her daughters death anniversary today so don't upset her anymore than she is. I'm taking her out, not sure where yet but we'll be back later" Elias concludes after she left the room. "I'm coming" blaze states as he walks out he stairs beside Elias and is answered with a small nod.

After everyone was ready and in the car, saph in the back, her twin asks where she wants to go. "Can we go to oceanas grave please, I have my jet ready and can we pick up Kota and Phoenix on the way please" she says in a tired voice. So that's what they do. Blaze explains what they are doing and what the day is to Dakota and Phoenix on the plane, even though Dakota already knew.

On the plane sapphire was snuggled up, asleep with her enzo while the others talk quietly to each other as to not wake her up, after seeing the eye bags she's sporting. Some time later. "Raine, come on, we're here. You need to wake up" Phoenix coos softly.

"I'm awake" she simply says, her eyes shining with sadness. Phoenix sighs sadly before helping her into the car that was waiting for them.

On the way to the cemetery, they pick up some flowers which they lay on the ground before oceanas grave stone. "Hey baby, I'm sorry it's been so long since I've seen you but a lot has happened. I finally went back to my biological family and reunited with your uncle Kota. I thought I'd bring a few along for you to meet" she says once they all sit around the grave. "These are your uncles- Blaze, Elias and Dakota. And this is my boyfriend Phoenix." "I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you cea. But I became stronger for you, I protect other in hopes to make up for not being strong enough to protect you. I miss you so so much. More than you could ever imagine but I'll see you again one day. I love you baby" sapphire cries as she speak to her daughter.

Each person their takes turns in introducing themselves and talking to oceana. As sapphire begins to walk back to the car after saying goodbye, all of the boys promise oceana to protect and love her mother, always. The three Romano's got home late that night after dropping Dakota and Phoenix at home. As they stepped through the door, their eyes landed on 5 pacing men who had expressions of worry and anger on their faces. Hearing the door, they all stopped their pacing and their eyes snapped to where the 3 youngest were looking back at them with sheepish smiles, for which you could clearly see sapphire looking a lot better and happier than she was this morning.

"Do you know how fucking worried we were. It's passed midnight already and no one had a clue where you were. What if you had been hurt or kidnapped or something" rivers rant was cut off by his twin.

"Your rambling brother. We are fine, we just got back from London and are very tired"

"Urm. Quick question. Why would you think we would be hurt or kidnapped. Is someone after us or something" sapphire interjects innocently, keeping up the oblivious act, to which all of the Romano men shot a quick glare at River before reassuring the girl that no ones after them, that it was just River being worried and over exaggerating. She simply shrug, faking that she believes them, before heading off to bed and falling into a nightmare filled sleep.

Sapphires POV -

Nightmare/flashback - warning- only part of it~

It was beginning to get dark out and less people were on the streets so I decided to take oceana home again, he should be gone by now. I was humming softly in her ear as she had her head on my shoulder, sleep taking her, when I heard people shouting. It was getting closer but I couldn't see where it was coming from.

Before I could think anything of it I got tugged into an alleyway I didn't even know was there and my breath quickened. There surrounding me was 6 grown men, all drunk. "Come on little lady. Give us the purse and we won't hurt you" one slurred as the others began to step towards me. I was frozen in fear, not for me but for my daughter, not doing as they said which seemed to anger them.

Their faces hardened and on reached out to grab my bag as another tried to grab by daughter. By now she was awake but kept her head in my neck, silently crying. I manoeuvred my body so that the man couldn't touch her before lifting my leg to kick down the one in front of me. I put down oceana and told her to run.

As she shakily walks away as fast as she can so I began to fight of 5 different men at once, trying to give her time to get out of here. Wait fuck wasn't there 6. As I turned my head to look for the 6th as I was fighting off the last 2 men, I saw him grab cea before she could get away. I quickly got out my gun which lucky had the silencer on already and shot the 2 men still standing before pointing it to the man with my daughter.

But it was to late. He had already stabbed her. "It's your fault" he said before i shot him in the forehead and ran to cea. "Please baby. Don't close your eyes. Your okay. Your going to be okay. I love you my sweet girl." I said as her eyes were starting to close. She was loosing to much blood. "I luv wou mommy" she mutters quietly before she goes limp in my arms.

"Nooooooooo" I scream into the night as I just watched my baby die. I'll never see her beautiful eyes again. I'll never her her call me mommy or say she loves me. I never get to see her grow up, see her first boyfriend, comfort her in her first heartbreak. See her graduate, get married, have kids of her own. She just gone.

Nightmare/ flashback end~

"Sapphire wake up"

"Stop her before she hurts herself!"

"Come on flame, it's just a dream"

"Your safe now fire. They're not here".

"Why isn't she waking up dad?"

I could hear noise all around me, noise that wasn't part of the memory. What is happening.

"I'm sorry saph"

Wha- SPLASH. I jolted awake, drenched in sweat and water, to see my whole family surrounding my bed. Remembering what happened I begin to cried. "Shhh your okay baby. Your okay now" my dad coos softly as he hugs me, calming my sobs. Eventually I fall asleep to the sound of his heartbeat, exhausted from tonight's events, wanting to forget everything.
