My eyes fluttered open as I blinked trying to get the dizziness away. I groaned as a striking pain entered my head but this didn't compare to the pain I felt on my neck, I moved it slightly but I immediately regretted it when a wave of pain went through my neck.
I opened my eyes and I was again welcomed with darkness. The only source of light I could see was under some door that was located on my right. I felt a slight itch on my cheek and I try to bring my hands up to my face but I realized my hands were tied down. The chains rattled beneath me making panic enter my body. Keep calm...
I shivered feeling the cold air surround me. I could hear dripping from some place in the room. Are we underground?
I hummed trying to pass away time as I nodded my head side to side. Why I wasn't freaking out you may ask? Well, I knew that someday this would happen. Downhill of being a famous hacker known worldwide.
"Oh, you're finally awake." A cheerful voice beemed making my head snap to it's direction.
"Who are you?" I asked squinting my eyes trying to find a shadow or something.
The lights suddenly turned on making me temporarily blinded by the brightness. I suddenly saw black and then I repeatedly blinked slowly regaining my vision back. I analyzed my surroundings and furrowed my eyebrows disgusted, the walls were made of concrete and they're were pipes scattered along threw them. I squinted my eyes taking a closer look at the walls and I realized they had stains...blood stains across them. Damn, they don't wash their walls.
I suddenly remembered another person was in the same room as me and I turned my head desperately trying to find the person. I couldn't move my body because I was tied to a chair.
"Boo." A voice suddenly called out behind me making me jump in my seat and sigh closing my eyes annoyed. He laughed behind me and I heard steps. "I'm sorry, I'm just really bored."
I rested my head low and a pair of shoes came into view. I raised my head and was met with a young looking guy. He had blonde hair slightly brown and striking blue eyes. His cheeks were pink as he wore a smile on his face. What is a kid doing at this hellhole?

"Hi! I'm Leo, nice to meet you." He said happily extending out his hand for me to shake but he quickly lowered it when I raised a eyebrow and rattled my hands against the chains. He had a thick Italian accent. So my captor is Italian...
"Not a smart choice to tell me your name, kid." I sighed resting my head again. "Also why did you kidnap me?"
I knew exactly why I was kidnapped but I just wanted him to say it. I looked at his hands and tilted my head looking intently at it. His hands were rough and the way he let them rest, a knife or gun could fit in between them. His hands are used to holding guns so much that when he rest his hands limp it stays in that form. Assassin.
He heartily chuckled making me raise an eyebrow confused, did I say something funny? "I didn't kidnap you. I'm just here to watch over you." He explained.
I hummed letting him now I heard him. "Yeah I get that." I paused eyeing him. "But did you guys kidnap me?"
He sighed messing up his hair as he pointed at me, "You should know."
"But I don't."
"Don't tell me, tell him." He walked away leaning on the wall as he took out his phone.
"Since you keep talking about my so kidnapper, might as well bring him here. I want to have a word with him." I gritted out.
"Mhm he'll be here in a sec, also for you being kidnapped you're quite calm." He said looking at me with a small smile.
Always be calm...I had to be calm. It's better then screaming, yelling and crying. Normally a person would react this way, begging for help and crying but that just doesn't help me at all and at some point it will get annoying making my captors slaughter my throat, killing me and I plan staying alive.
I threw my head back and closed my eyes. I heard the door open and close quickly after. Leo went out the room, there were no more footsteps. I opened a eye only to realize he turn the lights off again. Great...
I thoughts were interrupted when I heard mutters outside the door. I closed my eyes trying to concentrate on they're talking, three voices. One belonging to Leo and another sounded weirdly familiar and the other was incredibly dark and demanding.

My eyes almost dropped from their sockets from how widened they were. Three days?! I was unconscious for three days.
They're voices died down making my insides turn uncomfortable by the silence. The door lock clicked and suddenly opened bringing in light from outside.
A very-tall muscular guy walked in, he looked around 6'3. I didn't get to see his face as he shut the door behind him. I was alone with this guy.
"So, you're the one that kidnapped me?" I questioned looking straight into darkness. He didn't answer me instead I heard his footsteps getting closer making my palms get clammy. I felt his gaze on me somehow. "I asked you a fucking question." I raised my voice a bit but still no answer. "Look I don't know what the hell-"
"You aren't in conditions to be asking questions." The man said cutting me off rudely.
I scoffed, "You put me in those conditions."
"Quite an attitude you have there. Tell me, why did you hack into our base, huh?" He asked, he was right behind me.
I'm really testing my luck right now, should I play dumb and hope they think they got the wrong girl? Yeah, let's go with that.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." I trailed off clenching my hands to trying to get the numbness away.
He chuckled right on my ear making goosebumps rise on my skin. He's in my fucking personal space.
"Playing dumb, I see." He paused and I heard his footsteps walk in front of me. "I know your not a innocent, a innocent wouldn't hack into a assassin agency and don't you dare come up with some shit saying you accidentally hacked into it." He growled mad. I felt his breathing on my face and I felt the metal chair creak as he put both of his hands on the armrest, trapping me.
I stayed silent trying to keep my act. "You better fucking tell or so help me, I will fucking force the words out of your pretty little mouth."
I sighed acting disappointed, "Im sorry, I really don't know what you're talking about. I swear I'm innocent!"
"You think you're so smart. You hacked into our base and got information. Our targets to be exact and handed them to the FBI. You work for yourself and get nothing in return so why? Why risk putting your life in danger for nothing." He said coldly.
"I still don't know what you're talking about, leave me the fuck alone." I replied harshly leaning forward.
"Excuse me? Do you know who your talking to?" He gritted out frustrated.
"You heard me."
He chuckled and I felt him grab my chin. "Hm, should I cut your tongue first?"
I raised an eyebrow, "How about you cut nothing." He's an assassin too. I might as well start digging my grave.
I felt him harshly release his grip and he walked to the other side of the room. "Why did you do it?" He said raising his deep voice.
"Haven't you heard a single word that has come out my mouth? I said I don't know."
"Do you? Darling, you either were the hacker or a accomplice. Now, hurry up and tell me."
"Why do you say?"
"Because not everyone can hack into the mafia, get illegal information and think they're going to be okay." He paused. "You're really testing me, quit the act and speak."
I stayed silent and so did he. I heard him walk closer and behind me and then I heard the most precious sound. The lock of my chains clicked and it slowly loosened around my wrist. I jumped up fast and raised my leg and kicked him in the chest making him stumble backward surprised. Bet he didn't know I could fight.
I threw a punch but a rough hand caught my wrist and painfully twisted it making me let out a yelp of pain. "I thought you were smart, turns out you weren't."
I scoffed sliding my leg towards his ankle in hopes of him to fall and release me but he didn't even stumble or move. "Nice try, principessa but I'm not someone you should try messing with."
I growled as he grabbed both of my wrist and pressed them on my back. "Then who are you so at least I know who I'm messing with."
"Valentino. Valentino Romero Hernandez. Heir to the Italian Mafia."
Then I felt a prick in my neck making me drown in darkness. Son of a bitch.

What do you wish for?
Norman hated his life. His peers ignored and bullied him. His mother nagged. His father was never home. Norman desperately wished for a miracle, but his prayers went unanswered. Until one night. **************************************** Note: This story is going to be very short. I would recommend reading it all at once. This story started out as a challenge I set for myself. I've recently felt bogged down because of the need to write more. That's why each chapter will be only 300 words long. Exactly 300 words long. At this point, I've pretty much written the whole thing, so I'm very confident that there will only be eight chapters.

T.R.E.E.S.E.K.A.I. follows the story of a dryad in a frontier town, watching civilizations get born, thrive, and die on her roots, under her branches. This is more of an ongoing scratchpad of writing experimentation rather than a cohesive narrative so I might do weird things with it from time to time.

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes.
