《The Bad Girls' Good Boy(BWWM)》Chapter 20

Whoever said life was like a big merry go round was absolutely fucking right. Xanders' chemotherapy was thankfully done a month ago but what I didn't know was he had to do a transplant to finalize everything. Something called a bone marrow transplant.
Basically, it replaces bad cells with healthy cells cancelling out the all cancer cells. Completely. I couldn't wait for it to happen but I didn't want to get too hopeful. It was dangerous process.
But it was thankfully successful. I was so fucking happy that day and I cried so much. It was finally over. My baby was okay.
Xanders' body was finally filling out again, he was getting stronger and his hair was finally growing back. And my hair was growing back too. I was glad because I for one, am not trying to look like Damiens' balls.
It was finally Christmas and I was so happy. Who wouldn't be happy? Christmas just had this different feeling and you can't help but feel unexplainably happy. We were all in the living room drinking hot chocolate, with Xander and I in the love seat.
"When is Santa coming, Alex? I can't wait to open my presents, I know that I'm on the nice list this year," Adriya inquired, excitement shining in her eyes with her hands clasped before her.
Xander chuckled softly. "How do you that you're on the nice list?"
With the most innocent look ever she answered. "Well I didn't push anyone off the slide this year." Push anyone off the slides? This little girl is something else.
"Santa will come when you're asleep honey, now let's go to bed," Helen said to her.
Whining, she answered, "But I don't wanna."
"Yes you do, now go on up." Stifling a yawn, she trudged up the stairs with Helen and Mr Carson behind her, after they bid their goodbyes.
"So what are we going to do now?" Ava questioned. Damien opened his mouth, probably to say something stupid, but was cut off by a big yawn from me. "What? I'm tired."
"You guys do whatever, we are going to get some sleep," Xander said, raising up of the love seat. Holding on to his hand, I pulled myself up. "Yeah, tomorrow."

Approximately fifteen minutes later, Xander and I were cuddling in bed. My head on his chest, and his finger drawing circles on my hip, he looked down at me. "Neph, thank you."
"For what?"
"For sticking by me through everything, for loving me, it means a lot." Looking up, I kissed him softly. "I love you, I always will."
But as I fell asleep, I had doubts. Would he still want to be with me after I told the news him tomorrow?
~
The next morning, I was awakened my someone jumping up and down on the bed. "Wake up, it's Christmas. Santa's been," the voice I realized to be Adriya shouted. Why is this child up so early?
Rubbing my eyes, I opened them. "Alex, wake up."
"I'm up, I'm up," he said in that deep, sexy, morning voice of his; throwing a hand over his eyes. "We'll be down in a minute," I told her. Nodding happily, she went out and shut the door behind her.
Leaning in to kiss me, Xander said, "Merry Christmas, love." Covering my mouth with one and and pushing him away with the other, I jumped off the bed.
"What's wrong?"
Removing my hand, I spoke. "Merry Christmas to you too, but unlike yours, my morning breath smells like dead frogs."
Suddenly swinging his long legs over the bed, he caged me in his arms and pressed his lips against mine. "I don't care. I love everything part of you, including your deadly morning breath."
Laughing, I said to him, "You are so weird." After finishing our morning routine, we headed down the stairs hand in hand. I was met by a beautifully decorated tree, with tons of presents underneath it. "Merry Christmas everyone," we greeted.
"Merry Christmas, honey," a deep voice said from behind me. Smiling, I spun around. I would recognize that voice anywhere.
"Dad, what are you doing here?" I said as I threw my arms around him. "Helen and Dru asked me and my family to come," he said. Only then did I realize Sophia and the kids beside him.
Bending down, I greeted the kids. "Hey guys, Merry Christmas."
"I missed you Neph," Natalie said.

"Me too," Nehemiah agreed. Getting up, I smiled softly at Sophia, tell her Merry Christmas, smiling back, she returned to favor. Walking to the tree, we sat down.
"So, who is ready to open their presents?" Helen asked. An unholy amount of wrapping paper and laughs later, we were finally done; and down to two presents. Mine and Xanders'.
"Are you ready for your present?" he said. I nodded excitedly.
With an extremely nervous look, Xander asked me to stand up. I was confused, but I stood up. Wiping a bead of sweat from his brow, he took a velvet box from behind him and went down on his knees. Oh my god, holy shit!
I brought my hands to my mouth as tears pooled in my eyes.
Licking his lips, he began. "Nephertiti Micheals. We have gone through so much over the past year that we've been together. I love you now and I'll love you until the day I die. And if there's a life after that I'll love you then too, I can't imagine growing old with anyone but you. You deserve the very best, someone who will protect you without limits, let you grow without borders and love you unconditionally. Will you let me be that someone, will you marry me?"
I stood there crying like an idiot. "So is that a yes or a no, because my knee hurts," he said.
Laughing, I put out my hand. "Yes, a million times yes!" I shouted. Putting the ring on my finger, he spun me around and kissed me. "You have no idea how happy you've made me."
Applaud arose around us as and he put me down. Wiping my tears, I reached for my terribly wrapped present, giving it to him. Taking it out of my outstretched hand, he took it and started to slowly unwrap it.
Everyone was waiting anxiously to see what was in it. I was so nervous my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest. Taking of the top of the white box, he took out a onesie.
Looking at me then to the onesie with confusion, he asked, "What am I supposed to do with baby clothes? I'm confused." Nervously placing my hand an my tummy, I smiled at him. After a few seconds his eyes widened as he finally caught on. "You're pregnant? You're pregnant!" He exclaimed.
Lifting me up for the second time today, he kissed me again. The rest of the world faded away as we stared at each other. "Thank God, I was so nervous that you wouldn't want it." Pressing his forehead against mine, he smiled. "Never. I meant what I said this morning, I love everything about you," placing his hand on my tummy, he continued, "including our little pea."
Everyone was quite surprised, but after the initial shock wore off they started to speak. "I'm going to be a grandmother, I can't waiting to spoil her," Helen gushed.
Laughing, I replied, "How you know that it's a girl?"
"Just a guess," she shrugged. My dad came up to me and hugged me softly. "I can't wait to become a grandfather, I'm going to spoil her so much."
"You will do no such thing, Dad. Okay, maybe a little," I chuckled. We walked over to our friends as the adults spoke. "I cannot wait to teach him how to flirt. He'll be getting girls left and right when I'm done with him," Damien said rubbing his hands together.
"You will do no such thing, my child will not be a player," I gasped jokingly.
"Well, whatever it is, it'll be so fashionable, courtesy of its Uncle Christian," Christian said, clapping his hands.
"And it's Aunt Jhanessa," Jhanessa added.
"It'll be smart like his mother," Elijah said with a tender smile and Ava nodded in agreement.
"He will be handsome, just like his favorite uncle, me," Jaxon said, smirking playfully.
Xavier turned to him with an extra gasp. "No, I will be its favourite uncle."
As they bickered back and forth, I sat down and laid my head on Xanders' shoulder, admiring the gorgeous foreign object on my finger. And as I looked around at everyone, my dad and Xanders' parents talking, the kids playing with their toys and my friends laughing, I knew that there is no place that I'd rather be.
