I parked my car right in front of the lobby and got surprised when i see his fast car parked at the lobby, it's been 3 weeks now he's been avoiding me. A smile appeared on my face when i see his car is back. I turned off the engine before walk out of my car,

I step my feet out of the car then went straight into the house, i open up the big wooden door and get in. My heart is beating fast because it's been a long time since the last time i saw him or talk to him, i miss him so much and a moment like this making me sweaty.

"Avalana" i heard his voice came from the right side of the house.

I look into the right side of the house right in front of the hall into the living room and found him standing with a bouquet of tulip on his hands. A smile appeared on my face when i see him standing there, a smile also appeared on his face the moment he sees me.

I ran into him then throw him a big big hug, his arm automatically wrapped around my body. The smell of his perfume greet me, i missed it, i missed him and I couldn't feel happier.

"Congratulations to miss Avalana Valerie for the medical school" He smiles while his arm still wrapped around mind.

"How do you know?" I asked him with a big smile on my face.

"Didn't talk to you for a few weeks doesn't mean I didn't know any news from you" he said.

I grab on the flower before walks into the long hall and ended up into the dining room, i grab a vase then pour some water into it before put the tulips inside of the vase.

I turn around and found him standing so close from me, his body pushing me into the island table while sending me his famous smirk. His hand touch my cheek before his lip slowly brushing mine, still felt like the first time he kissed me.

I broke the kiss before look up into his ocean dark blue eyes with our nose still touching on each other,

"I got it" his low voice broking the silence.

"What?" I smile.

"Harvard" he close his eyes before smiling.

"Really?" I push him with both of my hands on his shoulder, my eyes are scanning his face and all i got is a simple nodded from him.

"I'm so happy for you" i said bringing him close then hug him with both of his arm around me.

I'm so proud of him, he's been wanting this since when we were in high school. His parents must be so happy and also proud of him, i can tell that I'm the happiest girlfriend on earth to have him.

"So Oxford or UClA?" He asked me.

"I don't know, maybe UCLA at least we're at the same country" I mumble.

"I love you so much, i missed you" he whispered on my ears and i smile.

"I love you too" i said closing my eyes while smiling.

There's been so many happy news this month and I've been picturing and wondering what it is going to look like in our first day of college.

A ring that came from my phone suddenly interrupts our moment, i broke the hug before pick my phone from my pocket. I look into the phone screen and found Gabriel's name on it, i picked it up right away while walking away from Apollo.

"Hello?" I asked him.

"Lana,.." gabriel voice sounds weak.

"Gabe what happened?" I asked him.

"Dad.." he said.

My hearts beating faster when i hear him saying the word dad with a low tone.

"He's collapsing, he's in the hospital now" he said and my emotions seems being blended up right now.

"How?" I asked him worrying about my dad.

"We'll explain to you just come here" he said with a low tone and it makes me so worried and shaking.

He ended up the phone calls right after he said that to me, a worried come through me. I can't talk I'm shaking right now, this isn't a good thing.

"Hey what happened" Apollo's arm is now around me.

A tear fall from my eyes feeling so scared and panicked.

"Gabriel just told me dad just collapsed" i said before he pulls me into a hug.

"Let go we should go to the hospital" i said then making my way into the lobby.

"I'll drive you lets go" he said before we gets into his car right away.

All the way to the hospital is full of silence, even there's no song playing on the car. A tear keeps falling from my eyes feeling so worried about my dad. Apollo drives like a maniac it seems like he doesn't know how to stops the car, he chose the fastest way to get into the hospital.

The car entered the hospital right away because he got VIP passed, he stops the car at the lobby and walk out of the car right away. He throw the keys into the service man before following me to get inside of the main desk.

"Karl Valerie" he said into the main desk.

"He's in the VIP Intensive care unit Mister Hamilton" the nurse told us right away.

Apollo holds my hand before ran into one of the elevator, he scanned the VIP card onto the elevator scanner. The elevator door suddenly being opened then we walk in right away, he pushed one of the bottom that lead us into the VIP ICU.

The door revealed open and revealed a long white hall, i walk out of the Elevator. And found Gabriel is standing on the hall alone with both of his hands rest in his pocket.

"Gabe" i said running into him.

He hugs me and i know something bad happened with our dad, I've never seen gabriel this sad and the way I don't know about the whole situation makes me more scared.

"What happened?" I asked him.

"He's, he has cancer all these years" He said with a red eyes and the words just slapped me on the face.

"I didn't know?!" I asked.

"Nobody knows accept mom" he said and this time i see a tear fall from his blue eyes.

"Oh my god" i said and a tear keeps flowing down my eyes.

"The doctor said it has spread everywhere" he said and that makes me broke into pieces.

"We can't do anything accept praying Lana" He said.

The pictures of my dad smiling and laughing appeared on my mind which making me crying more, I can't imagine if I had to loose him.

"He doesn't want to see us crying in front of him, we can't be like this when we enter his room" gabriel said.

"How?" I asked him while crying.

"How's his condition?" I asked him.

"He's super weak" he said.

"I can't handle this" i said before begin to seat on the floor.

I put my hands on my face started to cry and sobbing until i feel an arm wrapped around my body,

"I'll take care of her" Apollo voice said next to me.

"Thank you" Gabriel said and i heard his footsteps are leaving us alone.

He pulls me close then i put my watery eyes on his shoulder, his strong arm comfort me. His hand slowly brushing my back.

I can't believe my dad has keeping this secret for a long long time, and I can't imagine if i loose him. I need to see him and be there next to him all the time, if.., if it's going to be the last week that i can spend my time with him..., i'll always stick around him all the time.

"I want to see him" i said.

"You sure you can do this?" He asked me with his hand holds on mine.

"I'm sure, i have to see him" i said.

"I'll be there next to you all the time" he said before putting a single kiss on my forehead.

He helps me to get up from the floor before brushing my tears away from my face, we get into the white door and revealed a room with a nurse desk and some sofas next to it.

I found my mom is sitting next to gabriel with her head lay into Gabriel's shoulder. I see her eyes are red and puffy, my mom looks like a mess. I can't hold my tears it's just fell from my eyes to see my mom looks broke.

"Mom" i said before begin to hug her.

"Sweetheart" she said bringing me closer, i feel Gabriel's arm are around us right now.

"I'm sorry for keeping this secret" she started to cry.

"Mom don't cry" i said it to her even it is so hard for me to not cry.

I stand up from the floor and started to take a look from the window to the other side of the room where my dad is laying and looking so weak with so many hose connected to his body.

He's my dad, and I'm so scared to loose him.

Everyone went home, i stay here alone with a knitted blanket and staring at the ceiling with an earphone connected into my phone which playing an acoustic calm playlist to calm myself from this crazy situation that i try to adapt with.

I told Apollo to went home even he tried to make him stay with me, but I just need sometime to be alone to think about everything and processing everything to get into my mind and accepting the fact about my dad's condition.

I get up from the sofa and walk closer into the big transparent window and i got surprised when my dad is actually awake blinking his eyes for a couple time. A young nurse stand next to me, i turn my head around to look at her and found her checking on my dad before write something on the paper.

"How long has he opened his eyes?" I asked her.

"He's actually awake but he's still in a weak condition" She said.

"Can i come inside?" I asked her.

"Of course you can but you have to wear a hospital gown to avoid a virus or any bacteria and make sure that you washed your hand before you come inside okay" She smiles.

I nodded before started to wash my hands on the sink right next to the desk then wear the gown from her desk. Before that she also told me to take off my shoes and change it into a hospital white slippers. After that she allows me to come inside, i slowly open the door before putting my feet inside of the room and my dad slowly throw a glance at me.

I walk closer to him before slowly put my hand on his, his hand is cold and seeing him laying so weak on the hospital bed makes my heart break into pieces.

"Dad, why didn't you tell me" i said.

"You don't have to worry about me Lana" he said in a low voice.

"Everything will be alright" he said.

Even i know he knows how's his condition, he looks different and fragile. I'm scared if everything is going to happen if i stand here too long.

"Whatever that will happen to me, i just want you to stay in a positive line all the time."

"Be a good girl, take care of your mom, especially yourself" He said.

I nodded.

"How about Gabriel?"

"He's a big dude now he has his own responsibility to take care of Laura, the company and Jacob" He said and it makes me smile with a tears suddenly fall from my eyes.

"Don't cry Lana" he said.

I love my dad, even sometimes i feel he treats me like a shit but deep inside i love him so much. Even he's a typical guy that doesn't know how to express his feelings but i still love him so much.

"You're a smart girl you know how to take a risk and I realize that since you're a little" he said.

"I know you'll choose a right thing and you know what's good for you and what's not" he said.

"Your mom always told me to let you to choose your own way, and as a father to a daughter i always forcing you to do anything."

"I just want you to know that i did it all the time cause i want you to receive a good thing cause you deserve something good" he said.

"I love you dad, don't leave" i said.

"I tried my best Lana" He said and it's making cry more.

"If I'm gone" he said.

"Stop don't talk about it" i said.

"Tell Apollo to treat you good" he laughs.

"And make sure gabriel doesn't do a stupid thing when he's walking down the aisle next to you on your wedding day" he smiles.

His smile seems lightened up the room, he's still trying to makes me smile in this situation even it is so hard for me.

"If I'm gone you can have a dog in the house" He laughs and it makes me cracked a smile which making a tear fall from my eyes.

"You've been wanting that since you were 4" he smiles.

"Dad can i have a huskies cause they have a beautiful blue eyes and a they're big" he said trying to said the words that i said to him when i was a kid.

"You remember" i said with a smile on my face.

"Of course, remember when gabriel went into his first date and you kept teasing him?" He said.

"That was so lame" i laugh.

"Don't tell gabriel that you're my favorite daughter" he's joking.

"Of course that's because I'm Your only daughter and gabriel must be your favorite son cause he's your only son" i laugh.

"You got that" he said laughing before closing his eyes and take a breath.

"Just remember that i'll always stay in your heart and memory Avalana" my dad said.

I nodded while trying to hold my tears from falling,

"I love you dad"

"I love you, my daughter Avalana"
