《Sugar And Spice》Chapter twenty-nine: Bikinis

"Faith, come on!" Alex's voice called out. I didn't respond and kept debating in my head about which bikini to take.
This always happens. Damn cute boys who I wanna impress in a bikini. And damn those bikinis.
I had a red one and a mustard yellow one. "What're you doing?" His head popped in through my door.
"Pick one," I threw both at his face before shoving the rest of my things in a bag.
"I've told you before and I'll tell you again, red's your color. Always red," he put it in my bag before taking the bag and speeding down the stairs.
I grabbed my phone before closing my bedroom door with the lights and heading downstairs. "Sorry, sorry!" I exclaimed while getting in the back with Alex while Daniel drove with Hayley sitting beside him in the passenger seat.
"You took that long just to pick a bikini, huh?" Hayley turned to face us.
"I was not just picking a bikini, excuse me," I rolled my eyes. "I couldn't find my sunscreen or my phone. I found those first and then I struggled with picking a bikini," I clarified.
"And which one did you do with, honey?" she laughed.
"The red one," I replied while snatching the packet of chips from Hayley.
"I knew it," she snatched her packet back. I shook my head while she tossed me a packet of M&M's. I opened the packet, sharing it with Alex on the way to the beach.

We finally got there and to my surprise, it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be.
"Are you gonna swim or did you just bring the bikini to turn him on?" Hayley asked while the boys went to change and we got seats.
"I brought it to swim, honey." I shook my head while taking the sunblock out.
The boys came back while we were talking and joined us for a while. "Can you get my back?" Alex asked.
"Sure," I applied the sunblock on his back and then he and Daniel went swimming while Hayles and I went to change. Hayley came out a minute after I did and we headed towards the ocean where we swam to the guys.

We were waist level in the water when I pretty much felt the desire to drown as soon as the words spilled out of Hayley's mouth.
"Doesn't my baby look hot? Doesn't she look hot, Alex?" she asked while hugging me.
I burst out laughing when he began frowning. "No," he shook his head.
"She doesn't look hot?" Hayley's eyes widened while I just reddened more in embarrassment.
"Of course, she does," he came closer.
Hayley gasped in realization. "Faith," she sang while turning, "Are you my baby?" she glanced at Alex while blowing a kiss at me.
"No," he grabbed my arms and pulled me to his side while pouting, wrapping my arms around his neck.
I laughed while Daniel came and pulled Hayley aside.
"You are not her baby," he pouted.
"No?" I questioned, arching my eyebrow in amusement.
"You're mine," he kissed my cheek before picking me up and beginning to walk deeper into the water.
I kept my hair up in a bun because I had to try to not get it wet but when my feet touched the water, I knew that wouldn't happen.
"You're my baby," he kissed my cheek again before setting me down.
"Okay, baby," I teased while laughing.
Hayley and Daniel came back to us. "Anyone wants it?" he pushed the floatie we brought with us in our direction.
"Ooh! Me!" I took it quickly.
Alex picked me up, setting me on it while resting his arms on my legs. We were talking when I began rocking my legs back and forth.
"Faith!" he shrieked, backing away.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't realize!" I laughed, pulling him back to me, not rocking my legs anymore just in case I kicked him where I shouldn't have again.

"Alright, I'll meet you there," I quickly kissed his cheek before grabbing my towel and a fresh change of clothes and going to shower and change quickly. Surprisingly, my hair was completely dry because I spent the entire time on the floatie, talking to Alex. Hayley and I walked back together to see the guys struggling to put up our tents.
I laughed walking over to Alex, "Hello," I wrapped my arm around his. "Struggling?" I scrunch my nose at him.

"Nope, not at all," he lied while the tent collapsed again.
"Can I help?" I asked.
"Do you know how to pitch a tent?" he questioned.
"Yup, my dad taught me." I took over and began putting it up. I finished putting up the tent and peeked inside, making sure it was standing upright. "All done," I dusted my hands to see him standing there in confusion.
"What just happened?" he blurted.
"I just showed you how to put up a tent," I stood beside him, observing my accomplishment.
"I am so attracted to you right now," he whispered while his arm snaked around my waist.
"I'm hungry, get me food?" I pouted while he turned me to face him.
"That's your response to me declaring my attraction for you," he shook his head. He began walking away but I jumped on his back. "I'm going!" he laughed.
"I'm coming with you," I sang.
Daniel laughed and tossed Alex his car keys and we got there, driving to the nearest diner to get dinner for all four of us.
I knew Hayley's and my order and Alex knew his and Daniel's. Once we ordered, we stood there for them to give it to us to go.
Alex took his hoodie off and tied it around my waist. "You could've worn longer shorts you know," he mumbled.
"You could've worn a less muscle-showing shirt you know," I mocked.
He shook his head while smiling while the waitress brought us our food. "Have a good night!" she called out while we thanked her and left. We got back to the beach to see Daniel and Hayley sitting real close.
Alex was just going to walk to them and ruin their moment but I grabbed him, pulling him back. "Wait! They're having a moment!" I whisper yelled.
"Huh?" he asked dumbfoundedly.
"Look at them," I whispered as we hid behind a tree. "Let's just give them a minute," I stopped watching and gave them privacy.
"Bullshit, if they were gonna kiss they would've done it by now," Alex scoffed.
"Alex," I said warningly, "Maybe they need a minute."
He sighed, "When you wanna kiss someone you just do it, Faith. I see what they have and I don't see them kissing right now," he explained. "They're both too nervous," he glanced at them.
"You don't always kiss someone when you feel like it. Sometimes you need a minute to figure out how to do it and how they'll react," I huffed.
"No, you don't," he chuckled.
"Have you kissed me every single time you've wanted to?" I arched an eyebrow at him.
He opened his mouth to reason but closed it right back up. "No," he shook his head, "But I will now," he smirked before kissing me. I smiled before pulling away. I turned him around to look at Daniel and Hayley and much to my surprise... not. They were kissing.
"People don't always kiss on impulse. They can't always seize the moment," I whispered.
"Hmm," he hummed in response while turning back around to face me. "People can't. But I can," he said before kissing me again.
I laughed before pulling away. "While I'd love to spend all the time in the world kissing you, I'm hungry, I know you're hungry and I'm sure they are too," I gave him a quick peck before we interrupted the two. "Hello!" I sang, pulling them apart.
Hayley turned bright red while Daniel turned away while smiling. When we all sat down to eat, I began laughing when I saw Daniel.
I pointed it out to Alex and he told Daniel, "You've got a little lipstick on you, Daniel. Wonder how that got there, huh?" he teased. I nudged Alex while laughing with him.
"Shut up bro, don't even," Daniel chuckled while shaking his head.
We all ate while joking around and talking about random things. Once we were done, we went to the bathrooms to brush our teeth. "I saw you two you know," I turned to Hayley after I finished brushing my teeth.
"I saw you two as well," she arched an eyebrow at me.
"We're dating, you and Daniel on the other hand," I nudged her teasingly while braiding my hair.
"I like him a lot, Faith," she sighed in defeat.
"I can tell. Question is, are you gonna do something about it? Or sit there looking pretty?" I raised my eyebrows at her while grabbing my things.
"He's the one who kissed me. I would not have had the balls to do it tonight," she shook her head.
"Then you have your answer."
