《Forced To Marry The Billionaire Manwhore》The Handsome Stranger and The Fancy Party

Sage
SO APPARENTLY THERE'S A CHRISTMAS PARTY AT THE BLACKSTONE TOWERS
And I wasn't invited.
Correction, I wasn't invited by any Blackstone family members, and by Blackstone family members I mean Greyson Blackstone. The man who is not only inheriting these very important towers but who is my stupid manwhore fiance.
Another thing that bugs me is that when my Grandfather called to inform me of this (since I didn't know), I had to play dumb so he wouldn't be suspicious. That is because Greyson and I haven't spoken since the dinosaurs walked Earth.
Unfortunately for him, if Greyson didn't invite me because he didn't want me there, surprise for him—I'm going to be there. Of course, not because I want to, but because my Grandfather needs to "expose" me to these rich snobs. However, that doesn't mean I'll give Greyson the satisfaction of my fake kindness, instead I plan to have fun tonight and get some payback for not only myself...
I am the the last bloodline of Emerson and I've got to start acting like it.
This was clearly a sign from upstairs that I, Sage Slade, need to stop mopping in my room listening to Justin Bieber over my annoying feelings for Greyson (which I do unfortunately still have). And instead, enjoy the time I have no attachments to him. Just because he gets to play around doesn't mean I can't, right?
"I have to praise myself," Isabella says. "I've outdone myself yet again!"
Isabella is a professional makeup artist my Grandfather sent from England to do my hair and look for this party. Not only that but he sent a gorgeous rack of expensive gowns from of course, Paris. I guess if you're going to be exposing yourself as an Emerson you've got to go all out.
"Alright, darling," She says to me, her accent thick and might I add really cool. "you may look in the mirror."
Isabella removed herself from in front of the vanity mirror and I stared into familiar blue eyes, that belonged to a much less familiar girl. I asked Isabella for two things tonight, classy but dangerous. And I've got to agree with her she really did outdid herself.
She dyed my hair Bronde (Brown and Blonde), then with some sort of hair stylist magic she managed to give my hair this amazing bed head affect just much more provocative. As for my face, she definitely gave me a memorable look, with smokey eyes and thick eyelashes. My eyebrows were given the perfect arch and my cheekbones were more defined thanks to the contour. Lastly, I had deep and bold red vamp-like lipstick on.
I smiled.
I'm going to have a lot of fun tonight.

"You look as enchanting as your mother!" Grandfather approves with a blissful smile.
I smile back at him. "Thank you."

"You're indeed the spitting image of Heather." He continues.
I smile and nod. "Again, thank you."
I've been told this from Dad ever since her passing, even she told me I looked like her a few times if memory serves right. It's the blue eyes, the ones I inherited from her, she used to always say there were as beautiful as Sapphires.
Grandfather escorted me around the ballroom, there were way more people here than the last event I attended and a lot of the people here were very important. From actors/actresses to models to musicians to politicians and other relevant business people.
"Ah!" Grandfather chimes. "Mr. Depp."
And by Mr. Depp it was indeed none other than Johnny Depp himself, with his beautiful blonde companion Amber Heard. As they all conversed I watched them speak with awe, how calm and relaxed everyone was here around people like Johnny really befuddled me.
If Evelyn and Nora ever saw him, they'd probably cry. I'd do the same but I'm pretty sure this would earn me a scolding from Grandfather later and I didn't want to see his bad side yet.
When we finished speaking with them Grandfather took me around some more and introduced me to more people of importance. We all discussed a variety of topics from Christmas plans, to marriages, to business stuff (which I knew nothing of course about) and etc.
During all of this, I've yet to see Greyson, not that I was looking for him.
"Sage."
I mean it's his party, where is he?
"Sage."
He really didn't bail on his own party, did he?
"Sage, darling."
Is he with some whore or something?
"Sage." Grandfather calls for me, his tone sharp.
I turn to face Grandfather, only when I swung my attention towards him, my eyes locked onto a pair of breath-taking emerald eyes.
"Mr. Daray, I'd like to introduce you to my Granddaughter, Sage." Grandfather introduces. "Sage, this is Dorian Daray, he's the son of Louis Daray the architect who helped build these very towers you're standing on."
"Nice to meet you," Dorian extends his hand out. "Sage."
I had to snap myself out of the hot guy fog that I was in and reach for his hand to shake it. So I smiled and responded. "Nice to meet you as well."
When we parted hands, Dorian looked at my Grandfather. "You have a very beautiful Granddaughter, Mr. Emerson." Then looked at me with a smile.
"Thank you." I say sheepishly.
"Why thank you, Dorian." Grandfather says proudly. "If you don't mind, Dorian, I must make an important phone call for a moment. Can you keep my Granddaughter company for a few?"
My eyes widen.
Leave me with the really good looking guy!?
"Sure, I'm sure I can keep her entertained for a moment, or two." Dorian chuckles.

"Thank you." Grandfather says. "I'll be back very soon."
Then without saying another word, Grandfather vanishes in the crowds of people, and leaves Dorian and I alone. Immediately there was a deadly silence between us. I wasn't brave enough to strike up a conversation with him.
"I've got admit, I have no idea what to talk about with you." Dorian chuckles.
I snicker. "My Grandfather's the guy who can speak to anyone, I am a terrible people person."
"Same." He sighs. "My Dad could go to any party and speak to anyone, meanwhile I've been walking around this party for over an hour and the only thing that came out of my mouth was 'hi', 'great, thank you, yourself?' and 'have a nice nice'."
I laugh. "You just described my life."
"Yeah, well that's what happens when you live in your stupid dorm room and study instead of going to parties in College." He scoffs.
That was hard to believe, how could this guy not go out? He's gorgeous! From his tousled back brown hair to his beautiful emerald eyes and a smile that is so bright and enticing it could blind you in the most blissful way possible.
"What are you studying?" I ask, keeping the conversation going.
His eyebrows raise and he snickers. "Architecture."
"Like your Dad." I infer.
Dorian nods. "Just like my Dad, but I'm not doing it for him, I have unfortunately been cursed with the Daray sight for architecture. I'm fascinated with everything about it."
"Doesn't sound like a curse, more like a blessing, wouldn't you say?" I tilt my head.
Dorian chuckles. "You can say that. But enough about me, what are you studying?"
"Oh I'm not in College until next year." I inform him. "But when I do get into College I'll be studying Astronomy."
He gives me a genuinely curious look. "Can't say I've met many people who have an interest in that field. You're a fan of space?"
"Well, fan is an understatement." I laugh lightly. "More like obsessed."
"Really?" He grins. "Actually, my father helped build the planetarium for the Museum for Natural History."
"Oh my gosh!" I squeal. "No way!"
Dorian nods. "I take it you like it?"
"Like it?" I roll my eyes. "Dude, I love it—!"
Immediately I cover my mouth, dude, really Sage!? You're at some fancy rich people party and you just said dude to the son of the man who built these towers!?
"Oh don't worry." Dorian dismisses. "I go to College, dude is a word I've heard and used many times."
I sighed with relief. "It's nice to be around someone my age."
"You don't even know." He agrees.
"Sage!" Grandfather calls out.
When I turn to face the direction of my Grandfather's voice I suddenly froze.
Amidst the crowd one man stood out, it wasn't the expensive clothes he was wearing, the group of women surrounding him, or how provocative he looked. It was his eyes, they were as brilliant and as radiant as a diamond.
Greyson wore that heart breaker smile and while walking through the crowds he slowly ran the tips of his fingers through his dark slicked back hair. Not to mention he had confidence that expanded through the entire room.
It had been so long since I've seen Greyson and looked at him through the viewpoint of a bystander. For just a brief time I didn't exist here, he was a stranger, and I could daydream about the possibilities of him.
Greyson Blackstone wasn't a manwhore, he was a handsome stranger, who could very well be my Prince Charming.
But that daydream ended when I saw a beautiful woman wrap her arm around his, and that woman was of course Brynn.
"I'm glad to see you two getting along." Grandfather smiled, pleasantly.
"You're Granddaughter was a pleasure to be around." Dorian compliments.
I snap my attention away from Greyson and Brynn. "Oh...Ah, yes Dorian was a pleasure too."
"Very pleased to hear it, but I apologize since I must cut this short, my darling Granddaughter has many other people to meet." Grandfather informs him.
"No problem at all," Dorian looks at me. "maybe I'll see her again before the night ends."
He wanted to see me again?
This beautiful guy!?
That's to good to be true, after Pierce Radwell vanished and never messaged me after the last event I have a lot of doubt when it comes to guys of this nature. So I'm just going to go with the flow and expect nothing from them.
Though it was nice that we got along so well and who knows we may meet again, especially if his father helped build my favorite planetarium.
"I don't see why not." Grandfather chuckles. "Enjoy your night, Dorian, we shall see one another again."
"Of course, Mr. Emerson." Dorian says to Grandfather, then looks at me. "And nice to get acquainted with you Sage."
"Nice to meet you as well." I smile.
"Okay, let's go, Sage." Grandfather walks me away. "We have to meet a few more people before they have one to many drinks."
Thank the heavens Grandfather took me away, I was beginning to feel my face burn, and I did not want to look like a giant strawberry in front of Dorian.
You guys left some FABULOUS comments in the last chapter and I definitely enjoyed reading your ideas for our little Sage! I also loved how you guys ALL said Sage should get some eyecandy or a new guy, LOL.
