The next day, Lizzy didn't pick you up, which humiliated you a lot. You were embarrassed to ask Grace to pick you up since your parents were both busy this morning. Luckily, she was on her way and could turn right around to take you to school.

"I told you she was a bitch!" Grace exclaimed, while keeping her eyes on the road.

"Huh, I guess she is." You wanted to convince yourself that Lizzy was a good friend but now that you looked back on it, she was never a friend that supported you as much as you needed a friend to.

You looked out her car window as cars drove by to go to work. Unlike normal cars, Grace's car had a comforting smell to it. The seats were comfortable as your back rested on its soft surface and the sound of the gentle blowing of the AC calmed you down.

The two of you chatted mindlessly about everything and anything. Despite her extroverted personality, you got along with her better than you thought you would. You were happy, though, since this was one step closer to becoming more confident in yourself and making friends.

When you got there, you separated ways with Grace to the library to see if Lizzy and Leon were there like usual.

"Okay! Just remember, we're always in the bleachers if you don't want to hang out with them." Grace smiled before she left.

Walking towards the library, you peeked in. Surely enough, Lizzy was on her phone and Leon was studying.

Oh. So they both went on without you.

You felt your face heat up from anger and gritted your teeth. So now, they're just ignoring your existence? Walking away, you breathed in and out to calm down and counted to ten. There was no point in crying over spilled milk, so you left and ignored the fact your supposed friends has officially ditched you.

Instead you went to the bleachers, Alec's signature tousled hair, Gabriel's grumpy face in a book, and Melody chatting regularly with Grace. As you advanced towards them, Melody was the first one to see you. She waved you over.

"Hey." was all she said. Her eyes flickered up to yours in acknowledgement.

You grinned and replied with the same response. "Hey."

Alec, upon hearing your voice, immediately turned around and happily hugged you tightly. "Y/N~ I missed you."

"What? Do you want me to listen to your sad love stories again?" You teased. Alec laughed and grabbed onto your arm, pulling you towards him.

"I swear I'm not like that. I just drank a lot when you weren't here and decided to go to sleep after getting rejected three times," he stuck his tongue out "I'm a gentleman, I swear! And I'm not as clingy!"

You stared at him with an 'are you serious' look. "You're literally clinging onto me." You looked at your position, where Alec held your waist and you sat on his knees to mid-thighs, making sure you didn't get to close to, you know.

"That's different," He protested, pulling you closer towards his body.

"Agh!" You wiggled out of his grip and stumbled to Gabriel to seek refuge. Alec pouted and tried to reach you, only to be slapped by Gabriel, who was still reading his book.

"Go flirt somewhere else. My IQ is diminishing with each word you speak."

"Your IQ must be at negative then," Melody quipped. Everyone laughed, except Gabriel who was rolling his eyes but smiling just a bit.

Hanging out with them... was not so bad. In fact, you've never been so happy in weeks! Just talking and joking around with friends... That's the type of life you'd like to have at school. Lizzy never understood your jokes so you just gave up on telling her.

"This... this feels very nice." You mumbled, only catching the ear of Gabriel because you were still hiding behind him, who smiled softly at you.

"Come hang out with us anytime. You're always welcome." He turned back towards his book. You smiled widely, unable to keep the happiness off your face.

"Okay!"

'I haven't seen Y/N since after the party..." Leon nervously scratched his arms. Were you sick? Why didn't Lizzy pick you up? Why didn't you come to the library? All those thoughts passed his mind repetitively and quickly as he strode down the busy corridors. It'd be nice to walk with you everyday, hand in hand, smiling at each other.

While he was heading towards his class, Leon heard unmistakable beautiful laughing from his left. He turned his head quickly, only to see you with Alec and three other people that he didn't see last night. He was pretty sure one of them was called Grace, though, since you've been talking more about her recently.

So you were with them... Leon's hold on his books and binders tightened significantly as he watched you talk happily with your new friends. Were you replacing him? Was he that easy to replace? Was he just a burden to you? Is that why you left?

So many more questions swarmed around in his mind while he watched your friend in jealousy. But that didn't matter. You said you love him right? You said you wanted to cuddle with him right? Pepper kisses all over his face right? Then why the hell were you hanging out with other boys? Thinking of your confession made him melt into a gooey puddle of goodness. One of these days, he'll confess to you! He promised himself!

Leon strolled over to the five of you, trying to make himself look more confident. "Good morning, Y/N!"

You looked at him in a surprised manner. Did you not expect him to greet you in the mornings? "Oh. Hi, Leon."

The way you spoke was curt and formal, unlike the cheerful Y/N that he hung out with last week. Your friends must've done it! They're a bad influence to you!

"Who are these people?" Leon continued to smile, keeping up his nice facade. It seems like Alec wasn't having it, since he was glaring at Leon from behind you.

'What a pathetic scum bag. How dare he hang out with my Y/N?' Leon fumed silently.

Your eyes brightened at the mention of your friends. "Oh! These are my new friends. Leon, meet Grace, Melody, Gabriel and Alec. Grace, Melody, Gabriel and Alec, meet Leon."

There was a chorus of nice to meet you's going around and you talked about your friends in a way that felt like bragging to Leon. He felt a pang of sadness in his heart. Did you ever talk to him that way in front of others?

"Nice to meet you!" Leon looked down and fiddled nervously with his bag. As much as he didn't like it, his anti-social skills were showing again.

"Right! Leon, shouldn't you be with Lizzy?" You asked curiously. Shouldn't couples we walking around together or something? If you had a boyfriend, you would definitely hang out with him all the time at school! In fact, you felt like you might cling onto him most of the time. But it's too embarrassing to admit, considering how nobody likes having clingy partners.

"She has class and I needed my locker so we separated. Why didn't you come to school with us today?" Leon fired a question back at you.

You shrugged like you didn't care, despite it being the latter. "Nothing, she just didn't pick me up, that's all."

Leon thought of Lizzy in anger. Didn't pick you up? She had the privilege to pick you up but didn't? Who in the right mind would do that?

"...Oh. I'll have to discuss that with her then."

You smiled and waved your hands carelessly. "It's fine, I'll just ride with Grace. She was kind enough to take turns to drop me off when necessary. So you don't need to talk to Lizzy for me."

Leon frowned. "But..."

"You want the spend time with Lizzy right?" You faked a grin at him, "you can hang out with her without me!"

Before Leon got a chance to respond, Alec pulled you away towards your next class. "Y/N~~ Didn't you say you'd let me take you to your next class? Come on, let's go~"

Alec's hand grasped yours tightly and he started to run, leaving all your friends and Leon in the dust. He was quite athletic, unlike you, which made it hard for you to keep up without tripping. By the time you arrived to your classroom - which was quite a long way - you were panting for your breath. Alec, however, didn't look fazed at all. Probably expected from one of the school's best athletes.

"Was that the guy that broke your heart?" Alec asked in a weird manner, still clutching your hand. For some reason, he felt one hundred times more handsome than he already is.

You scratched your head embarrassingly. "I guess you could say that."

His eyes softened. "Well, don't think about him anymore, m'kay? He's a guy who doesn't deserve your kindness and attention."

You hugged him out of pure happiness. You've always wanted someone to say those words to you, much like in those stereotypical stories you found online. He hugged you back, tighter than you did with him. The look in his eyes held no bounds as he looked at you with pure affection. Not that you saw, of course, since your head was buried in his chest.

'Maybe this is where I belong,' You thought.

Today was an absolutely horrible day for Leon. First, you felt so distant from him, more distant than after the 'date' you guys went on, where your letter said you would just avoid him for the rest of the school year. It obviously didn't work out well though. Second, that bastard just had to whisk you away while he was talking to you!

Leon dropped his bag on the floor of his bedroom and stomped his way towards his bed and to his stuff toy. More specifically the toy that you won for him in the amusement park.

"I need another plan..." Leon murmured, lying on his bed and cuddling the stuff toy. It didn't matter that Alec is now involved. You'll be his soon anyways. "The more time I waste, the more enamored Y/N is going to be with Alec!"

Leon let out a string of curses, something he never did. Why were you so cold to him? It couldn't be only because of your friends, could it? He thought back on all the conversations you had with him since Friday and after. It all indicates to... No... It couldn't be...

No way... Could you have seen that? Was that why you were so cold towards him? So it wasn't your friends' fault but Lizzy's! Dammit, and he also should've asked her about you while riding back home with her in the car.

"That bitch ruins it again!" Leon squeezed his stuff toy out of anger. Which was something he did more frequently than ever whenever he was jealous, angry, or simply feeling overwhelming love for you. Soon after, he petted the toy and muttered an apology. How could he ruin something that was so pure that came from you?

A dark thought passes his mind. 'No, I can't do that. I can't risk it. It's too dangerous.'

"But I guess we'll see." Leon went back to thinking innocent thoughts of you. 'Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N-'

"Leon, dinner's ready!" His mother called from downstairs.

"Coming!"

The next day, Leon made sure Lizzy knew what was on his mind the moment the two of them stepped in the library.

"How dare you! How dare you just ditch our friend like that!" Leon shouted angrily at her. Lizzy only rolled her eyes, letting her true colors show.

"So? I did you a favour. She's not in the picture anymore so you can just move on with your pathetic little life. Plus, she has new friends now. You're obviously easy to replace." Lizzy snapped at him. "Oh, and by the way, you are no longer welcome in my car from now on. Once we get to school you are no longer even associated with someone like me."

"Fine, it's not like I liked anything about you anyway." Leon said, scowling at Lizzy. It was the truth.

"Finally I don't have to hang out in this dumb little library anymore. Your nerdy ways have always disgusted me." Lizzy stood up and stormed out.

When she stormed out, Leon let out a breath. Oh, the things he would do for you. Not only did he just break of Lizzy and his relationship, he has an excuse to join your little group. Perfect!

If the shy boy's predictions were correct, then all of you guys should be in the bleachers right now. He head to the bleachers and there you were, sitting like a beautiful goddess. He stood in a place where you couldn't see him and took a minute to watch you from afar. You're so enchantingly gorgeous...

He was snapped out of his daze when you started laughing at what Alec and Grace said.

Leon timidly walked towards the five of you and fiddled with his fingers. "Uh, can I join you?" It's not like he wanted to act this way, it was just the way he was.

Your four friends looked at him suspiciously before nodding. Leon thanked his shy personality for giving off a non-threatening vibe. Melody was the first to speak up.

"Sure. But where's your girlfriend Lizzy?"

"H-huh? She's not my girlfriend," Leon acted surprised like he didn't figure it out yesterday. "But yesterday, she forced a kiss on me and I stood there like a coward. I told her I l-liked someone else..." the said boy muttered shyly, while blushing.

"Wait, then what about your ride back home?" You asked him with a concerned expression. He slowly shook his head.

"I guess I'll just take the subway."

"That's too far!" You protested. You couldn't ask Grace because you didn't want to burden her with another person to drop off. Everyone was silent, though Gabriel and Alec never spoke in the first place.

"I can take him." Alec spoke up first, before wagging his finger. "But I have one condition."

"What is it?" You asked him.

"Well, my dear Y/N, you have to let me take you home as well."

You nodded. What's the harm? Alec was a pretty cool person. "Okay."

Alec spoke triumphantly. "Just tell me where it is and my chauffeur will take you there. Grace's house doesn't really cross the area around your house."

You turned to look at guilty Grace. "Really? You should've told me. I could've figured it out without burdening you, you know?"

"It doesn't matter. I'll help my friend no matter what." You smiled at her words.

"So, Y/N and Leon, meet me outside the school gates and I'll take you to my car. Sound like a plan, alright?" You gave a thumbs up to Alec.

Leon smiled a bit. This was perfect. Now he could spy on you and Alec while hanging out with you! "Okay! Thank you so much!"

And so, the shy boy was back to his happy self again, clinging onto Y/N's arm. 'It's been so long since I've touched her...' Leon sighed euphorically. Alec hmphed and grabbed your other arm. It reminded you of two dogs pawing for attention.

"You guys..."

Both boys looked at you.

"You know that I don't have classes with either of you, right?"

"Who cares? We're taking you to class anyways!" Alec declared, dragging you somewhere which is definitely not your the direction of your class.

"What are you doing? Y/N's class is that way." Leon pulled you the other way.

Alec pouted cheekily. "Aw, I wanted to kidnap her to my class though."

"If anything, I'll take her to my own class." Leon retorted. It seems they are getting along better now.

"Keep talking about stealing me to your classes, I'll ignore your for the rest of they day." You threatened. That made the two of them shut up.

"Alec and Y/N left us behind again..." Grace whined, "I was so looking forwards to talking to her."

Melody nodded in agreement. "Well, I was curious about Leon as well." In all honesty, she was also curious about Leon as well. She was in many of his classes, after all but she's never seen him this talkative before.

Gabriel sighed, before closing his book shut. "I was hoping to talk to her about what other books she'd recommend me to read. But alas, Alec always steals her away."

"Dude, why are you talking like an old person?" Grace wrinkled her nose.

"Hush, Grace. I'm simply ten times more mature than you - though it seems it'll remain that way since you never grow up." Gabriel smoothly said back at Grace.

also i seriously apologize for my absence for the past weeks. i have been trying to balance my work with fun and this. i feel like lately, i've been placing too much work that i can handle on myself. i'm fine mentally and physically it's just hard to do homework, extra studying, having fun and writing at the same time :P hopefully when the holidays come i'll have more time to write
