"Jess I know you want me to stay over but I'm worried..."
"About Sherlock, I know you are." I rolled my eyes at her. For the past month, he's been trying to find any sign of Moriarty starting up the game they've been playing. With no luck until when John called saying they had a case, it was late now and I hadn't been home all day to know what's happened. "Just don't do anything too stupid." I gave her a look when the cab pulled up to her house.
"Says you." I ruffled her hair before hugging her quickly. "I'll call you tomorrow." Her place wasn't too far from mine. 15 minutes at best without traffic which did happen once we were getting closer to my flat, that's when I saw the police lights. "I can walk the rest of the way," I spoke up and the cab halted letting me hand over the money. Jogging down the street praying in my head this had nothing to do with Sherlock I wasn't so surprised when seeing the cars out the front of 221 backer street but was surprised when spotting Sherlock cuffed against one police car. "Sherlock!" I shouted being stopped by two policemen standing in front of him. That's when John was also pushed against the car. "Excuse me do you have a warrant for there arrest?" Saying this a few men looked at me like lost puppies.
"(Y/n) leave it be. We wanted sherlock for questioning but he refused." The inspector said calmly and I frowned at him.
"Have you all forgotten the rights this man has. Without evidence against him nor a warrant you can't just arrest him."
"(y/n). I'll be alright." Sherlock said as he was being cuffed with John and I let out a shaky breath. That's when the two of them broke free from the hold on them before Sherlock stepped back on the street with John next to him holding a gun.

"Ladies and gentlemen will you please get on your knee's." He fired two warning shots in the air when everyone was frozen still. "NOW." I just shook my head. What in god's name are you doing Sherlock?
"The gun was his idea I'm just uhh...."
"My hostage." They then disappeared down the next street. Threading a hand threw my hair I let out a shaky breath.
"(y/n) You'll need to come for questioning." Lestrade said calmly towards me and I glared.
"Let answer the few questions you'd ask me. I've been with my sister all afternoon, I don't know where Sherlock would go nor do I know what he'll do. All I know is that you're playing right into Moriarty's hands. Now I'm going to my flat. Goodnight." Spinning my heel along the wet pavement I pushed past the officers in my way and unlocking the door to my flat.
....
I hadn't slept much all night. A few hours at best. Just waiting for Sherlock to text me something. Anything just so I knew he was ok. The police couldn't find him I knew that but it's the fact they can't that scared me... He would be safer with the people around. And only God knows how John is doing in the middle of all this.
"They'll be alright dear. I'm sure they'll come around with a great story to tell." Mrs Hudson tried telling me this as I went to leave my flat. All this was too much for me. Moving around would settle my restless legs at least.
"(Y/n) (l/n)." A woman stood in front of a black car. "Mycroft wants the speak with you."
"A phone call would have been fine." It had to be important so I went with her in hopes that some answers would be on the other side of this car ride.

....
"I'm assuming you're wondering why you're here," Mycroft said and I nodded glancing to my phone to check the time.
"It's to do with Sherlock. It's always to do with him when you're involved." Saying this Mycroft smiled for a short moment.
"Do you not know?"
"Know what?" my phone rang, I would have if ignored it but it was John. Ignoring Mycroft I answered the phone. "John is it all over now. Where's Sherlock?" John was lost for words for a moment and hearing the intake of air followed by a large gulp lead me to believe the worst. "J-John what happened? Where's Sherlock?"
' listen I'm only telling you this because I don't want you to hear it from someone else. S-Sherlock h-he...... Sherlock's dead.' My whole world stopped. Breathing halted and unconscious tears dripped down my face although still in shock.
"H-how did it..... What happened?" Cupping my face with a hand to hold in the pain John didn't speak for a moment.
'It's best if we talk in person. I'll let you take it in for a while.' the phone call ended and I looked to Mycroft who was indifferent to the situation.
"So now you know." Shaking my head I fell to the seat behind me overwhelmed and not sure how to think. How could he be gone?
"How did you know so soon? It couldn't have happened before I got here, John would have called?" Trying my best to work this out as some sort of joke but it wasn't working. Leaning forward and staring at the floor I continued to cry. That's when a hand went to my shoulder. Thinking it was Mycroft I wiggled the hand off me.
"I'll let the two of you talk alone." Mycroft's voice was too far away and he was the one leaving the room so that means... My head shot up and Sherlock stood there... Alive.
"My God you're alive!" I shouted jumping up for a bear hug and intense kiss to his lips.
"Yes but I have to go away." Pulling away from him I was confused.
"For how long we need to tell John...."
"No John can't know. I need you to act just like you have now when you see him. I'm not sure how long I'll be gone for but I will come back to you. No matter where you are." He whipped the tears from my eyes and pulled me once more into an embrace as we took in each other's scent.
"Sherlock before you go..." I held tightly onto his shirt not sure what to say I just calmed my breathing. "I- I love you." Sherlock brought me in for a kiss moulding our lips together. He didn't want to go I know that but he needs to. I'm not sure why but he's alive and that's all I need to know.
"And I'd die for you."

Grimm Season 6 Episode 14: In the Nick of Time
After multiple young women disappear in the woods, Nick and the rest of the gang are called to investigate. Meanwhile, Deputy Farris relies on Hank for answers when the kidnapping suspect claims that monsters took his fiance. Elsewhere, Nick has a surprise for Adalind when she arrives at the loft, and Josh contacts his friends from Portland. This story is a season 6 episode 14 fanfiction of the hit NBC show Grimm and, therefore, takes place soon after season 6, episode 13. In this story, we get to see the immediate aftermath of the Grimm finale, see some familiar faces, and answer a few questions that were left up in the air with Grimm's end. This tale is based on the Brother's Grimm fairy tale, Jorinda and Joringel (though I recommend reading the real fairy tale after finishing the book). I do not own Grimm or any of the characters. I wrote this story out of respect and longing for my favorite show that has ended. This story contains violence and mild language.
