《Angel | ✓》22 - Cigarettes & Drinks

As the couple enters the crowded and loud dining room. It all goes silent.
There were rumours circulating around the gang groups about Francis having a woman, but no one assumed that she would stay so long, let alone be given the same curse as him.
It's known that men in gangs sleep around, it's rare to stick with one woman.
The man and woman walked through the crowd, a small entrance to the bar forming for them as whispers were shared around the room, but the quietness was lifted as the top gang leader glared at the room, not wanting his love to be uncomfortable.
People in the room resumes to its normal state of people grind against others, loud music, flashing lights and others smoking and drinking. Valentina was unusual to the setting since she had been at a quiet mansion for so long and even when working she never dared to set foot in a club, thinking of the worse. But now she felt at ease with Francis next to her, to which she clung onto, not knowing what she would do if he went.
Francis was drinking shot after shot, not being affected by the burning liquid going down his throat and ignoring the fact that his love was still keeping her eyes on him shamelessly. She was admiring the sudden change of clothing he wore. he was wearing all black, matching his hair, wings, and the girl's dress. He wore a mask almost identical to Valentina's and the only speak of colour that was in their outfits was their illuminated eyes, the blue of Valentina and yellow of Francis.
The man looked back at her, contacting eyes and she looked away with a blushed face making her admirer chuckle. He pulls her closer to him, wanting to place her in his lap but knows that she wouldn't be comfortable with that. Francis knew in the past that he broke her trust with making her like him and he wanted to make up for that and he had to keep his composure.
He chugged down another vodka shot and felt the burn from his throat to nose. It made him at ease as he looked at Valentina's eyes that were wandering the room and froze on someone approaching the pair. It was a tall man, one of Francis's gun dealers, Lorenzo. Francis slowly put down his glass and stood up to greet him, holding out his hand and is taken by the tanned man.
Valentina stayed at the seat, watching the two men talk formally but eventually zoned out as her eyes drifted around the room again and landed on a pink drink that the bar tender was making. It looked amazing so the girl asked him for one and was served in a minute, but before she could drink it she felt a kiss pressed onto her forehead and looked up to see Francis.

"I need to go for a few minutes, love. But stay here and I'll be back soon." he smiled and walked away with the blonde as his love resumed to her drink, yet to me interrupted again.
"You're so lucky to have a man like that right?" a girl with bleach blonde hair and a shiny pink dress, says to Val and she shrugs.
"I guess so" Valentina muttered and the girl giggled at her reply.
"Sienna." 'Sienna' introduced, holding her hand out and Valentina shook it cautiously, introducing herself.
She seemed odd. Although her voice sounded normal, Valentina could tell there was something wrong with her fake smile and unreadable glint in her eye.
And finally, Val got to talk a sip of her drink but immediately pulls back from the drink and makes a grimace face and Sienna laughs.
"Ugh, it's so strong" the Valentina groans and Sienna nodded. "One of the strongest drinks here!" and that's when the girl with wings felt her stomach lurch at the words and stood up immediately, only to fall back on the chair. The wings came with sick episodes and there was no way of determinising when they would happen, and now was not a good time.
"Oh my gosh let me help you!" Sienna urges picking her up to stand by the fore arms and balancing her.
"Thanks- Sienna" Valentina says and starts walking away into the crowd away from Sienna before she could stop her, she was out of sight.
Valentina ran through the halls, getting a few weird glances but ignored them trying to find the one person that she actually knew here. The mix of sick and alcohol in her mouth was revolting and she needed to get rid of it desperately.
"Francis!" she called out, cupping her hands next to her mouth. And paused for a second waiting for a reaction but got nothing so continued walking around aimlessly, until there was a knot in her stomach making her hips buckle with the pain.
The girl urgently looked around to see if there was anything outside before she made a mess and magically feeling the cold breeze of the outside and ran onto the balcony, throwing her head over the railing and letting in a rough breath to make her nausea go away.
Valentina slumped over the railing and groaned but paused as she felt a presence next to her. She shifted her head quickly and saw a noriette with black wings and a wide grin spread on her face. Immediately jumping to his side and wrapping her arms around him.
"Francis!" she and could feel him tense. His finger was placed on her forehead and tilted her face towards him, and he groaned after looking at her face for a few seconds.

"I didn't know you were so much of a lightweight from being alone for a few minutes." he groaned and put a cigarette in his mouth before inhaling and exhaling a cloud of smoke. And to this, drunk Valentina gasped at his action, making him cock an eyebrow.
"Not lightweight, just tipsy" she scoffed and then looked at the cigarette in his two fingers, eyes widening and cocking an eyebrow at him. "You smoke?"
He gave her a duh expression, waiting for her to start scolding him.
"Can I try?" the girl asked, and Francis chocked on the smoke at her question, turning to her.
"You... want to smoke?" he kids, and the girl nodded eagerly, she never had admitted it, without the slight influence of alcohol, but she always wanted to try to see what all the craze was about.
The dark-haired criminal snickered and dropped it to the floor, stepping on it and crucifying the flame to burn out and Valentina gasped out disappointingly looking at the cigarette, but her head was lifted with his thumb and index finger on either side of her cheeks, making her look at him.
He bent open her mouth and blew out a puff of smoke into her mouth. She hummed as she closed her mouth and blew it out gently as her admirer watched her, adoring how easily she could be amazed.
As she finished puffing the smoke out she smiled to herself contently and looked back up at the man before her to see him, yet again, shamelessly eyes you up and down.
"You look amazing tonight." he says walking closer to her but this time she doesn't retreat, she waits for him to come to her.
"Thanks to you" she whispered into his ear, with a sly grin on her face and she looped her arms around Francis's neck, and he slid his hand to her hips. It was silent for a minute as both of them store at each other, admiring themselves being in one another's embrace.
She wanted to say something to him but before she could, his lips crashed against hers and she was kissing him back in no time. They both were passionate as they used each other's tongues to taste each other. Both of them tasted each other and Valentina was the on to break it and she sighed breathless, from kissing him.
"Do I take your breath away?" the man joked and the girl in his arms nodded.
"Yes Francis." she hummed and rested her head on his chest, regaining and losing control over her body from the alcohol.
"Can we go home?" she questions, and Francis nodded, trying to hold his want to go further than kissing, knowing that it would be wrong to take advantage of her like that.
The couple both walked through the halls to the entrance earning whispers from passing guests but neither of them minded.
Francis nodded to hazel eyed man and with Valentina's new found friend, Sienna, next to him. Francis nodded to only Lorenzo, as if to say goodbye and they did the same, but all Valentina did was stare at them until they were out of sight, something about Sienna. She was nice but Val could see that she was wearing a fake face, fake personality.
Valentina's train of thought snapped as she was pulled into a warm embrace and looked up to see her head was now laid on Francis's lap in the limousine's couch, making her cheeks rush with blood. From this angle she could see his sharp jaw line and perfect lips as he looked out the window.
"Francis.." she mumbles contently with a calm smile on her face that made Francis's heart beat faster.
"Say my name again." the man commanded as he cupped his love's cheek.
"Francis." she said in a slight smile, pushing her face to his hand.
"Again." he said, and this caused Valentina to bring her hands up to his cheeks and pulls him down to her head, his lips inches away from hers.
"Francis." she whispers to him, her giddy expression making the blood rush to his cheeks. He huffed as his fixed his posture to sit up straight, Francis brought her with him, wrapping his hands around her waist and lifted her up so she was sitting in between his legs, and letting him rest his head on her shoulder.
Valentina was oblivious to the position that they were in and kept blabbing on about the bitter taste of alcohol whilst Francis just sat there and admired her. He loved the fact that she was now talking to him so freely, but his heart ached knowing that it was just because of the influence of alcohol she was being so open with him. He wanted her to do it out of free will.
When Francis's thoughts drifted away to other matters, but it was interrupted by the feeling of her head leaning more closer to his. He looked over to Valentina and saw her eyelids fluttering closed and soon enough she was leaning on him as a cushion.
I just want to be the one you love.
