Liam's POV-----

"You will have to deal with the unfairness of the world head-on if you want to live! Fate will catch up with you, and it wants nothing more than to tear you into pieces!" I sighed bitterly afterward as I shook my head.

(I must speed up the process. What I'm doing now will prepare him for what's going to happen in the future…But...)

I could only grit my teeth in anger as I looked at the boy on the floor.

(It's just, not fair! For this boy to bear the mark of- shit...)

I suddenly fall to my knees as a vicious pain shoots throughout my body.

(Why is it starting so early?!)

Ian's POV----

"C-captain!!!" I rapidly jump onto my feet, despite the pain I was in. I quickly reached for his arms to help him up.

"D-don't touch me!!"Liam shouted at me a second too late, and my hands immediately felt as if they touched scalding hot metal.

"AAAAAAHH!!" I gritted my teeth with tears in my eyes, trying my best to forget about the pain. My hands were screaming at me, but Liam's situation was even more serious! I could tell his pain was intensifying from watching him, and I witnessed the sweat that came from his body instantly evaporated.

"C-captain what do I do?!" I flailed my arms into the air as I started to feel as if I was in an oven, sweat dripping from my brow.

"C-captain Xander…struggled all his life for his dreams and h-he constantly paid the price. However, he stood by ideals...he fought against fate with people gathered across the universe! He saved countless worlds, and he also destroyed countless worlds...Haha...Cough…cough!"Liam's body uncontrollably trembled for a moment as blood started to come out from his mouth.

"Captain that's enough! Tell me what I have to do!" I could feel tears drip from my eyes as I became terrified. (I never saw Liam in pain before! Never! What can I do?)

"Derek…Derek has been with you for the longest maybe he can help!" I made a dash for the door.

"B-boy! Do not! Open that door!…"Liam roared with an intensity that could make even seasoned warriors faint from fright. I abruptly stopped and turned around in shock.

"T-this pain…no one can help me Haha…and besides, I'm not gonna die! Not until I kill those bastards for ruining my life!"Liam struggled to get up on his feet

It was painful to see the one I think of as father this way. I wanted to help him, but I remembered that I couldn't even touch him!

"Ian…the world you know is much more vast then you can even imagine…do you see that? the button over there to your left."I looked over and instantly see that there was really a singular button on the left wall.

"I want you to witness something, go over and press the…b-button…cough..."Liam coughed up even more blood as I ran over to the button, pressing it without a second thought.

"Force field activated." A robotic voice said from an unknown source.

I become momentarily blinded by a light, and when I could see again there was some kind of wall made out of blue particles.

"What is this?" I asked as I would punch it only to find out that it didn't budge at all.

"F-force field... Slightly…different than Fay's magic shield…Ian…Captain Xander was the type of man I earnestly strive to be…Gahaha!"

"He would face…everything like a true man! He may be dead now so you will never able to meet him! So, use me as your ideal! Know that even though the world is unfair you must always be strong to force fate to bend to your will!"

"B-become a real… man who bows down to no one!"Liam started to flex his muscles, ripping his clothing off as glowing red markings started to appear all over his body.

"Watch as Galius Liam Kasar, a man from planet Erios bends fate to his will!!! Gahahahaha!"The veins on Liam's body started to bulge as I could see a menacing red aura appear around him.

"Captain!! Damn it!" I banged on the force field with all my might, but nothing would happen.

(Where is that power when I desire it! I don't understand!)

I could only watch as Liam started to scream hysterically. The red aura suddenly turned into a fire that consumed Liam completely.

(Captain!)

The tears endlessly fall from my eyes as so stared forward not daring to blink for even a moment once I recalled that Liam wanted me to witness this! He is not going to die!

I wiped my tears away with one quick swipe just as I started hearing a familiar laugh.

"That's good! I didn't raise you to be a crybaby! Gahahaha! A man…That's what you should…be" The fire that consumed him would instantly disappear and it left Liam on the ground, smoke coming off his body.

"Force field deactivated," The robotic voice said as the force field disappeared and I immediately made a dash for Liam. I would bend down on one knee beside him, grabbing his hand tightly despite feeling my skin burn again, it wasn't as bad as it was earlier.

"I'll be a true man! I'll be even more of a man than that Captain Xander!" I said with conviction in my voice as my eyes turned multi-colored. I could feel the familiar power once more coursing through my body, restoring me back to my normal state.

"Gahahaha!.."Liam would look up at me with a huge grin on his face, gripping my hand tightly.

"Good…now beat it...I need to rest" Liam said as he immediately fainted, letting go my hand.

I bite down on my bottom lip before nodding silently. I stood there for a moment before I started to feel an unknown presence in the room, and indescribable rage took over my mind as I look towards the ceiling.

"You bastard that's observing us! You better keep your neck clean because I am coming for your head! Just wait!" I pointed at the ceiling as I felt my power overflow from my body, instantly attacking the unseen entity like a predator hunting for its meal!

"That little bastard!" The man coughed up a bit of blood from that attack.

He slammed his fist against the golden throne he was sitting in. He naturally wanted to see how the "mistake" was doing, and just as he exerted his powers to spy on the boy, he was attacked!

The man was absolutely elegant with his short golden hair and eyes that glowed brilliantly with an unusual green light. He would wipe the blood from his lips as he stormed out of the throne room.

The man was met with a beautiful mature woman outside standing guard and despite her age, she could still turn cities upside down. She was quite the dignified woman with her crimson hair tied up neatly into a ponytail, her green eyes were like swords that could unsheathe at any moment!

She was wearing the same uniform as Alexis but with slight variations. She would respectfully salute to the man that came out of throne room.

"You need to advise your men that they need to hurry up and capture that boy! His power is rising by the moment! If the people above me know that I couldn't capture him then!-"

The woman cut him off mid-sentence as she spoke, "I already sent "him" to finish the job, your Excellency. I already knew that Alexis was going to fail and report back to me. I'll then get rid of her along with that treacherous Galius!"The woman released her killing intent only for a moment. The man who was undoubtedly her superior was even afraid for his life!

"G-good! I want that boy handed over to me, so we can fix that little mistake of ours. We can not let such a being exist! That Captain Xander is causing us problems even in death!"The man threw a fit of rage before the woman, not caring about his image in front of her.

"I assure you that "he" will get it done." The woman answered the man before he headed back to his throne room.

"You will rue the day you went against me...Brother.."

Ian's POV----

Its been one week since the incident, and Liam told me everything he could about what is happening to me. I would finally know how much is at stake here, but I still felt as if something was missing.

One of the things Liam told me is that his training room was essentially built with materials from his home planet. The materials on his home planet are naturally fire-resistant, and he comes into the room to release his energy without damaging his surroundings outside. Liam had told me that he was actually cursed by "them" to constantly bear the pain of being on fire. The people from his planet have an affinity to fire, but even he could only bear the pain for so long before an incident from earlier happens.

The most significant thing he told me is that I was found as a baby on this planet he escaped to. He had discovered me in a basket floating in the ocean on a typical day of a pirate. Liam had already created the Axe Lions and seeing their captain jumping out into the ocean freaked them out.

The first thing that Liam noticed about me was the mark on my right hand, and when he took a closer look at me he said I looked just like Captain Xander! Liam thought that he was given a second chance, and decided to raise me like son.

Liam was telling me about a lot of things about his home planet and several others he has visited. He would also tell me how people could leave through the visible sky and travel through what he called space. But the only thing that really ran through my mind was.

"Holy shit! Who left me in the ocean?!"
