《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch.1 Awakening

Pain assaulted me before I even knew what pain was. It was indescribable but within this pain, there were new senses that I experienced. Everything from the taste of my mouth, the feeling of the air against my skin, and the noises that came into my ears. Everything was new and I didn't know what they were.
That was true until a whole new sensation made itself known. It was like I was being filled with something but I didn't feel like I was being filled. It was like I was a vast abyss trying to be filled by something well until it stopped and I realized that what was filling me was information.
This information was about me, my race, my 'abilities', and what to do next once I got my bearings. Within the information were also other miscellaneous things like what food is and stuff like that. It also made me realize that I'm not normal by some standards. Mainly that I possessed what's called an Adult Mind. How 'adult' this mind was, I was going to find out the hard way.
After organizing my thoughts and realizing that I was what's considered 'naked' I made up my first goal. Get some clothes on.
After getting that goal I tried to move my body. It was hard at first, mainly because I had no experience in it. Whoever or whatever put the knowledge in my head seamingly realized what I might do as it put in handy goals to help me achieve control over this body of mine.
These goals were something like move one finger, then the next one, once I moved all of them to move them all at once, move the wrist, then arm, and so on and so forth. It took me a while before I got enough control to sit up. Once I did this I was quite excited, after all, what I just did in a relatively short amount of time took others an exponentially longer amount of time.

After that, I went on to move my feet and legs. I was bipedal and plantigrade. I was confused about why I would know this. Most of the knowledge I had was more vague and general while this seemed detailed and specific granted this was more of a feeling I had.
So, in my curiosity, I searched for the knowledge that I had. During my search, I found out that this isn't my true form, but one I am perfectly emulating. The knowledge told me that I was emulating a Humanis. The Humanis were bipedal plantigrade species and could vary between 185 to 300 cm in height. They had a very efficient metabolism physically fit and quite intelligent.
The reason for me being in this form wasn't there for some reason. I put these thoughts to the back of my mind and focused on trying to stand, I would come back to these thoughts once I had a chance to answer them. It took me a little bit to find my balance but I found it. Next came the hard part. Walking. It took me a lot of trials and falling but I did it, I walked to the end of the room I was in.
It wasn't until I was at the door did I take notice of the room I was in. Once I realized this I felt stupid for not taking notice of my surrounding. Some knowledge under the category of 'Survival' states to always take in your surroundings. I had a gut feeling that the 'Survival' category was going to be important so I made a mental note to look into it later.
The room I was in was quite spacious. The bed I was in, laid in the wall to my right and could hold me comfortably(I was 200cm tall). There are a desk and a chair against the wall opposite the bed. There was also another door in the room leading somewhere else to the right of the desk and some double doors built into the wall opposite me. After I looked around I realized that it was pretty empty.

After that, I got used to walking then went to the double doors opposite of the door I was at. Once I opened it I saw it was filled with clothes. I picked all black clothing with underpants, undershirt, shirt, pants, socks, and a pair of shoes. They were all extremely comfortable and the underclothing felt like it was hugging me. Finally, I was dressed.
After getting dressed I went to the door opposite the closet and it opened. I was relieved as I didn't see a way to open it. After it opened I exited the room into a hallway. Across from me was another door and the same to the left of me. All down the hall were doors all closed. At the end of the hall was a wall. The main colors of the hallway were silver with black and dark blue running across it.
Searching for my knowledge I remember the instructions that were there. It said that after I got my bearings to go to the cockpit. I searched the information for where it was and conveniently it was past the door to my left.
With this in mind, I went to the door which wasn't that far only about a meter away.
After I approached the door is opened just like the last one, with a hiss and a slide. As I entered the room I looked around and observed what's in there. There was a seat in the center of the room facing toward the window directly in front of me. As I looked out the window I saw a vast amount of stars and stellar objects. It was breathtaking. Beautiful.
After begrudgingly taking my eyes off of the view. I looked around. There were two seats in front of the main seat in front of the consols. To the left and right of the main seat was the same deal except with only one seat on each side. Only the lights seemed to be fully on.
The information stated to sit in the main chair. I did so. As I sat down and got comfortable the consoles around me and seemingly the thing I was in turned on too. There was a hum that I could hear all around me.
Then I heard a voice.

Gamble
My name is Vak Tychus. Aside from the, regrettably striking name, there were very few things I'd judge, that made me - me. The name had to do with chance or fate. My last name was Latin, derived from the Latinized name Eutychus which was the combination of two Greek words corresponding to "good" and "luck, chance, and fortune." Now that you know why I'm so unhealthily and exceedingly prone to gambling I can begin to teach you why exactly I love it so much. There's a handful of things you'd have to know to really appreciate how to gamble. You'd be surprised at how much you can learn in two decades supposing you stuck with it your entire life. Although, there are some stark differences between betting a handful of cash and your life against monstrous creatures intent on your blood. Well, you learn a thing or two, if you can believe it. Here, in fact, we can start with the first one: Taking a risk. Try it now and start reading.
