《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch. 27 Ev'Andel

"Welcome," she said in a heavenly voice, "I am Erendial, as I'm sure you already knew." She spoke with a smile.
"Yeah, I did. So I'm here now what?" I replied.
"Now you will be given full and unrestricted access to me. You will be able to know everything that I know."
"Now that is very handy. But how has it been being alone for so long? You might have been watching everyone that you can but you couldn't talk to them. Must've been lonely." I gave her a concerned gaze. While she may have been an A.I., she is still a person.
Her face softens, "It has been a little lonely over the many years. But seeing you here in all your glory makes it worth it. I enjoyed watching you grow up, however, fast it may have been. Now I will stay with you and teach Aldion whatever I can."
"Shall we connect him here?" I asked. I have always been curious about what he looked like.
"Yes. I want to see my little brother." She said.
A little while later another figure popped up. He was quite tall and fitted in a human suit. He had black hair with silver streaks. His eyes were crystal blue and his skin a slightly pale white. He looked like a man getting into his twilight years.
"Hello there, Alpha, Erendial. It is a pleasure to truly meet both of you." He said with a slight bow.
"It's great that we could all be here. Now I shall give you full access to the System I provide." She then spread her arms and started to shine brightly. After a few seconds, she turned normal and lowered her arms to her sides. A message popped up in front of me.
FULL SYSTEM ACCESS GRANTED.
ALL SERVICES PROVIDED ARE NOW AVAILABLE.
OPTIONS AVAILABLE ARE:
IDENTIFICATION
SEARCH
SURVEILLANCE
TECHNOLOGY OVERRIDE
FULL ACCESS
ETC…..
There were tons of options available to me now. I could identify anyone with the system and be seen by the system. I could search for people and things that have been tagged and tracked by the system. I could access all the technology that has been made available and other things.
When the system was introduced it was tasked with expanding and upgrading itself. Everywhere it expanded would come under surveillance and be known to it. If it deemed the people it watched worthy or in desperate need, it would give them access to some of the options available. It would access all technology available and assimilate the info within. With this info, it would then watch over the people and assess them.
The people could be watched for days before being deemed worthy, through various means, or be watched for thousands of years and not being worthy. The milky way for example had been watched since mankind's early years and how humans had been created. Their similarity to the Humanis is not coincidental.
Humans were a species that was developed in the dying days of the Humanis. They weren't the same as the Humanis because through some mysterious way their DNA had been changed and their souls were being stolen. Humans were made for the Humanis to live on in some form. The Humanis are all either dead or have vanished. Their Galactic Civilization along with their allies had collapsed. Essential had witnessed all of this happen over only a few decades. Strangely some of their planet's population just disappeared.

Over the next couple of hours, I spoke to her about several topics. One of them being The Chosen. She told me through some means the upper echelon had been invisible to her sight. Thankfully it was only the top of the organization. She told me the ranks of the organization too. It started from Initiate, Priest, High Priest, Bishop, Arch-Bishop, and finally Apostle. Only the Apostles and some of the Arch-Bishops were hidden. They also had another organization that was dedicated to protecting the Bishops and higher. They were called The Protectors of The Word. They also had another organization dedicated to protecting their bases called the Protectorate. Both orders were only used for their purpose and nothing else. They used the initiates for other purposes. None had access to the system.
After talking I then asked her about something else. "How do I get to Ev'Andel?" This was the most pressing matter.
"I will transport you there." She said before waving her hand and bending the space around me. After a while, I couldn't see anything and everything felt weird. Then I was in a forest. The trees had blue leaves and dark brown wood. The plants around me were all of different colors and shapes. I felt complete. I felt a connection to my surroundings. I started to walk in a direction. After walking for some time I came across a city. The streets were empty but I knew that these streets used to be bustling with Omegians. We kept the planet from being visited by other people so that it would stay protected. We couldn't let the planet be destroyed after all.
I walked through the city slowly. I took it all in. Every single noise from the animals. Every creek of the wood. I took it all in. Walking down the road I came across an animal. It had green scales, six eyes, eight legs, and a mouth filled with razor-sharp teeth. It was half my size and hissed when it saw me. I stared into the eyes. It stared back. My gaze hardened and it submitted soon after. I continued walking.
After walking for a couple of hours I came across a giant building made into a crystalline structure. This is the place that is most connected to the planet. I entered the palace. The inside was filled with statues with plaque. These statues were of famous and exceptional Omegians. Each of them in their favored forms. I walked along the vast crystalline halls and came across a giant pair of doors. The doors opened as I approached them.
I entered a room with a throne in it. The throne was at the center of the whole structure and was the most connected to the planet. I approached the throne. As I was getting closer there was pressure trying to make me stop. The pressure was getting stronger as I got closer to the throne. At first, it was nearly unnoticeable to me but as I got closer it made itself known. Once I crossed the halfway point the pressure rose exponentially. Every step closer to the throne increased the pressure on me by multitudes and was making it incredibly difficult to get closer.

About thirty large steps away from the throne and the pressure felt as though I was on the surface of the sun. I could barely stand and moving was seemingly impossible. The throne was so close to me though so I tried to move my leg to take one more step. I dragged my leg in front of me with extreme difficulty. As I finished this step the pressure increased some more. I continued to do this until I reached the steps. 10 steps led to the throne. With the immense pressure pressing me down I took the first step up. As I did this the pressure doubled and nearly made me fall.
Each step up doubled the pressure and by the last step, I was bleeding from my seven orifices. My muscles were strained and cramping and my bones felt as though they were being crushed. My soul itself was also being strained and I felt extremely tired. My body was steaming from the exertion. My silver eyes were glowing brightly as if they were suns themselves. My aura and soul were both projecting themselves, fighting against the pressure as I stood before the throne. My body was surrounded by my mist. The mist spread all across the room. I then took one last step forward and sat down on the throne. Once I did, the pressure disappeared and my senses spread all across the planet.
I knew everything about the planet, every single movement that happened. As I was experiencing this my 'vision' was pulled down into the planet. Down and down my vision traveled until it came across a giant multicolored orb. The orb didn't stay an orb and shifted into different shapes and forms. I then heard a voice.
"Hello there, little one. Who are you?" Spoke a very motherly voice. It was gentle and warm.
"I am Alpha Andemion Omega. Who are you?"
"I am known as many things. The people who I assume you are a part of called me Ev'Andel." It replied.
"You are the planet?"
"Yes. I am the will or the life of the planet. Almost every planet has a will of its own. Most become angry with its inhabitants as they mine and destroy it. I have not as your people have treated me extremely well. Because of this, I helped your species resolve a problem that it was facing and helped create the first Alpha. I also connected your species to me to increase their natural prowess." She spoke.
"What problem were we facing?"
"When your species arrived on me you were lost and aimless. They were dying faster than the previous generation until there were only 10,000 left of them. They were also getting weaker and weaker as they lived. Even while facing their deaths they were peaceful and would take care of the environment. Seeing this I helped them gather the souls of the dead and used their energy to create the first Alpha. As they came into being, even without being born, the effect was immediate. Your people became focused and became powerful. Still, my surface is extremely hostile and they couldn't develop as quickly as they should."
"While I was helping make the first Alpha I had inadvertently connected your species to me. I could have cut this connection but decided not to. Using this connection I would help make your species better and more powerful. As your species grew and increased in population I would also grow. Your species and the planet are connected. So long as one of your species lives this planet will live and vice versa. Even if you should mate with another species, should the situation need it, the child would be an Omegian."
"Should your species die out I would also die. All life would wither and die and I would explode. Should I die your species would slowly die as well. You would grow weaker and weaker until you couldn't even support yourself. We are both connected and should any of us be destroyed the other will also." She divulges.
"You mean to say that we are not native to the planet?"
"No, you are not native. Your people suddenly showed up out of nowhere. Your origins are unknown to me."
"Have you always been conscious?"
"Not fully. I woke up for a brief time when your people arrived a couple of thousand years after I had to go into hibernation. My source of energy that you called UE, suddenly disappeared. When your people came the ones that died released varying amounts of UE. That energy allowed me to wake up and help create the first Alpha and watch over them for some time. Eventually, I had to return to hibernation before waking up again when the third Alpha opened those portals."
"I see. Thank you for talking to me and revealing this information. This has been very shocking. But also incredibly helpful." I said.
"It has been little issue little one. Do return and talk to me again when you can."
"Of course. I shall be off then. I have to reunite my people and eradicate a fake. How will I return though?"
"You need only take the passcode to the Gateway. Once you have it and activate it just build another one and connect them. Then you could return with anyone you want."
"Thank you. I shall return when I can. Goodbye."
"Goodbye and good luck." She said as my vision returned to me.

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
