《Rise of the Forgotten》Ch.40 The Traitors and Captives

We approached the door. I could hear their breathing. They were quite calm. One of my guards kicked the door open, throwing it out of the walls that contained it. Inside there were fifteen people of various species, though only in appearance. Most of them were standing behind a couch which held three of them. Seeing them I sat down as well on the couch opposite of them.
When I sat down we stared at each other. I could feel their age and experience. This made them quite powerful and knowledgeable. We sat there for a couple of moments until one of them spoke.
"So what do you want?" He spoke in a nasally voice.
"What do you think?" I replied, sarcasm oozing in my voice.
"Don't sass me, boy. I don't care who you think you are but you will treat me with the respect I deserve!" He snapped back. Disgust made evident on his and the others' faces.
"Now why would I do that?" I said slowly. My eyes narrowed.
"We are the chosen of our Alpha. We helped create him, we forged him and we serve him. We are the RULERS of the universe!!" He spoke with zeal and arrogance. The others with him nodded as he spoke.
"You are so far gone that you have become disillusioned and arrogant. You are a disgrace to your people." I said.
Their faces looked at me with rage and they barely contained themselves from attacking me right then and there. "And who are you to say that? I'll tell you, you are nothing. The dirt on a dead world is worth more than you. Now tell us who you so that we don't have to make up a designation for you when we experiment on you." Another person spoke with venom in her voice.
"I am Alpha Andemion Omega. I am the true Alpha and I now judge you for what you have done." I spoke as my aura and authority radiated off of me. The people before me were shocked at my words.
It took a couple of moments before they had got out of their shock. They then attacked me and my guards. My guards each took two each as I took the three that stood before me. A battle ensued that had spilled into the halls and rooms next to this one. My guards each had trained for 92 years and were more than a match for two of them.
The three before me were each worth at least one of my guards alone. Together they displayed cooperation that could rival six of my guards, though barely and only in pure strength or power. Their cooperation was immense as they tried to kill me with precise strikes and traps. Each one of them set up each other as I dodged each of their attempts.
With ease, I evaded each of their attempts at killing me. Their movements to me were like watching a child run at me. I moved and dodged seeing how long they could keep their cool. Their patience had quickly run out as they watched my casual disregard at their attempts at my life. Granted this was only with them using their pure physical capabilities not enhanced by UE.

Running out of patience, they then enhanced their capabilities and tactics by using UE. They tried to make me slip with ice on the ground. They tried to blind me with a bright flash of light. They raised the metal beneath my feet to trip me or make me stumble. They fired blasts of fire or shards of ice at me. Their speed was also no longer like a child but instead like a person that had trained their whole life for this.
The others in the fight also did this and my guards responded in kind. They quickly started to push the assailants back and pushed them to the edge. I also started to attack myself.
After dodging an icicle aiming at my throat that came from behind a bright flash of light, I then rushed forward. Appearing in front of one of them, I grabbed her head and ripped it right off of her body. I then threw it at another one of them dodging a blade made out of lightning. I then pierced my hand through the heart of the person that tried to stab me with lightning.
Pulling my hand free I then rushed at the last one and grasped their head. I forced them on their knees with a surge of electricity that surged through my hand into their body. They tried to switch into their mist form but I then formed a blade of pure light with my remaining hand and slashed through them right down the middle.
With them dead, I quickly cleaned off the blood on my hands. Looking around I saw the rest of the Fallen, as I would now call them, quickly be killed. Collecting the bodies together and pulling them on top of each other I then produced a blue flame and lit the bodies on fire. The fire quickly spread and consumed the bodies.
I then moved to a part of the room and punched at the wall near it. My hand pierced through the hidden door that stood there. I then ripped the door out of its place and walked into the hidden room. Inside there was a pod that was covered in seals and enchanted chains. The seals and chains each had ruins and symbols inscribed into them along with the pod. There were also various monitors each containing information about the pod and its functions.
I approached the pod and started to rip off the chains and seals on it. After removing them all I then moved over to one of the monitors and started to have the pod awaken whatever is inside it. I also had it open once it had done its job. It took a minute or two before the pod opened up. As it opened up mist started to pour out of it and slowly revealed what it contained.
A creature of a mishmash of surging and changing colors came out. Its form shifting and never staying in one form yet it exuded an aura of purity and light. It then settled on a humanoid form of amour that seemed to come out of the middle ages. Its amour is pure shining white while the rest of it still keeps its strobing and ever-changing colors.

It contained three pairs of wing-like attachments on its back. It had no actual head yet also did have a head. A normal person would not even be able to comprehend its form as it didn't actually have one. Instead, it looked like whatever the person gazing upon thought it might look like. With me, it instead adopted a form on its own as I could see what it actually looked like.
It felt like it was staring and studying me as we stood in silence. Neither of us was moving as I felt its curious gaze. I let it study me as I meant it no harm.
It then spoke in a cacophony of voices, as if it couldn't decide on which to use. "Who are you?"
"I am Alpha," I replied.
"Where am I?"
"You are in a room, which is in a base, which is located on a planet in the Milky Way Galaxy."
"I see. What do you want?"
"I want many things. For now, though, I would like to know who you are."
"I am known as Siphian."
"Nice to meet you Siphian. How did you get in that pod?"
"I was conducting a mission given to me by the Lord. As I was conducting the mission I was ambushed by a large group of mysterious beings. I was able to kill the majority of them but I was exhausted in the process. I was then captured by the remaining assailants and placed into the pod. After that, I know nothing else." It replied back. It remained a cacophony of voices that each had different emotions contained within.
"What will you do now?"
"I will return home. I can feel the waning connection that I have with it. I do not know why this is and I must find out."
"Would you like some help?"
"I do not need it. I will go now, this conversation has been enjoyable for me and I will remember you. Farewell, Alpha." It then shined in a bright light and vanished. I could feel that I would meet it again, in one way or another.
I then had Erendial copy all of the information available in the lab and had some of my guards pick up the chains and seals. I also had them collect the pod as well. I would analyze them as Erendial had no knowledge about the being nor the pod and symbols used in the sealing. My curiosity also burned bright at the thought of finding a new culture and species.
Erendial told me that there were only two other pods of the same make that she had found. One of them is with the traitors while another was in the possession of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church held a couple of planets for its believers and priests. The pod was contained on the planet of Eden. They both would be taken from their 'owners' and be opened.
When I find the leaders of the traitors as well as the false Alpha I would ask how they were able to use the technology of a mysterious species. Then I would kill them all. I then moved with my guards to meet up with the other guards and the captives they had found. These captives were scared and scarred. Some have even been part of the experiments while others only witnessed what had become of these experiments.
Once we met up with them we moved to leave the base. After all of the captives and guards had left the base I then turned around and conjured up a black flame. The flame was like the abyss and seemed to draw in the sight of others. I then flung the flame to the base and lit it aflame. The fire quickly spread across the base and traveled inside. Along with the black flame, I produced a pure white flame as well. This one radiated a pure and gentle heat that calmed the captives. I flung this one as well at the base.
All of us watched as the flames consumed the base. One flame purifying and purging the negativity of the base, while the other consumed it all and wiped it all out. One sought to purify while the other consumed. Both of them working together under my will to wipe out all traces of the base and its horrors. It took only an hour until the ground collapsed where the base once laid.
I then had the captives transported to a medical cruiser in the fleet so that they could be taken care of. There were only a couple dozen of them that had not been too far gone. The rest had been mercy killed and put out of their misery. The other bases had also been taken care of as well. People were rescued from almost all of the secret bases across the planets. All of these bases were then destroyed.
After a couple of hours getting every base searched and destroyed and having the rescued people settled down in the medical cruisers we then left to move on with the crusade. Everything we found was documented and was made public to the people across the galaxy. They would now know what had been going on in some of the dark corners of their galaxy.

Of Life and Light
Home. By definition, such a word means "A place where one lives", but what happens when one is removed from their home by those with greater authority? One would seek out another place to live, of course. Karastak, a Devil King and a Fallen God of a world called Terra, was removed from his world by something greater than himself, and has journeyed to the world of Azzarath by way of Azazel, God King of the Azzarathean Pantheon. Perhaps she performed thusly through pity, charity, or a simple act of kindness with no strings attached. Regardless, he is deposited near a village upon a mountainous range within the world. There, he meets up with his Human family, a grizzled old Templar, a shy Cleric, and an apathetic Mage, that came to take him away from his troubles, but he does not budge. That is, until one of his servants speaks of finding a new home. However, perhaps instead of finding a home, he finds adventure instead? The story within is a Frame Story, which means it is a story within another story. In that this one is being told by three personages, a God King called the Ageless, a Lich King called Brutus, and a Goddess named Sarah. Each of them speaks of the Ageless's past self, one called Karastak, as he journeys onwards throughout the worlds within the Azzarathean Pantheon in search of something more.
