《Uzziye became a florist》Chapter 13 - Falling Feathers

It’s been a week since I woke up at Nana and Nona’s house. My legs are back to normal, and to repay my debt with them, I’ve been helping with the chores.
Things have been great so far until today.
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where a secret is about to be discovered? What if the secret is about you? And what if you don’t want to know the answer?
Well, I’m in that situation. After Nana discovered my cuts, she went to the security force to tell them about it. And with my legs preventing me from walking, I couldn’t go to stop them. Stop what? That they bring a member with the power to see the past.
There are many non-offensive powers in this world, and the most common is the ability to see the past. If you’re born with that power, then they’ll recruit you into the security force. It’s their most precious power and what makes them so efficient at dealing with crime. It also helps to maintain people’s privacy. If I had that power and the security force didn’t discover me, then I could pry on the lives of the people surrounding me. But when you belong to the security force, you have to follow a strong moral code and their rules.
All major cities and towns have at least one person capable of seeing the past. But in places like this, they need to ask another place for a person with that power to resolve specific cases.
I tried everything I could to avoid knowing the truth and escape. I had sex with the members of the security force, went into the forest, seduced Nona to get her help, but nothing worked. The captain of the security force, Patrick, and Nana, did everything to stop me.

To be honest, Nona surprised me. I expected her to be a brainless person whose only thought was sex. Instead, she was sharp and noticed all my tactics. I hate to admit it, but it became the other way around, with Nona using my desperation to escape to have sex with me.
So here I am, tied into a chair and waiting for the security force while the pair of sisters watch over me.
“Why do you hate this so much?”
I don’t answer Nana’s question. And I gave up on proposing marriage to Nona, offering to have sex with her each day. What I do is think about it seriously?
Why am I so scared to find what happened? If it’s the work of a criminal, then the best is to see who did it and capture him. It also concerns me; these cuts are an obvious threat to my life. Whoever did it can do it again. Maybe next time I won’t be so lucky.
“Haa~. If you’ll be like that, okay then. I’ll charge you thrice the money if you did that to yourself.”
“Sister, umm. Instead of that, can I have her?”
“Shut up, pig! We need money. Does having sex with her all the time will bring food to the table?!”
The knock coming from the door interrupts their discussion. Even if I want to run there’s no escape. I accept my destiny of knowing the truth. At least, I’ll know why I don’t want to remember it.
I see Patrick accompanied by three other members of the security force enter. The one at the center removes his hoodie and smiles at me. It’s a beautiful smile, and he’s handsome. His white hair intrigues me.
“Hi there, I’m Crest… Why are you tied up?”

“Well-”
“She tried to escape many times.”
Unexpectedly, Nona is the one who talks. Crest looks at Patrick, he nods.
“We’ll release you, but promise you won’t run.”
“Okay.”
I nod at him. His voice is so calm it resonates in my brain and makes me feel better.
After the other two members of the security force untie me, Crest touches my forehead.
“She arrived here a week ago, right?”
“Yes.”
Patrick answers him, Crest closes his eyes. He raises an eyebrow, then he furrows his eyebrows. A few minutes later, his skin turned blue, sweat covered his body. Crest opens his eyes abruptly and stares at me wide-eyed.
“This is an emergency. We’ll take her with us!”
“What happened? What did you see?”
Crest shows a more shocked expression after hearing my doubts. He approaches Patrick.
“Code Falling Feathers.”
Patrick’s face turns blue after hearing that.
I don’t know what’s going on, but they look at me as if I’m a dangerous person. This makes me more scared, so I resist when they try to take me away.
“What’s going on? Where are you taking me?”
“What’s her name?”
“Uzziye Bakker.”
“Uzziye Bakker, you’re under the jurisdiction of the security force. Please come with us willingly otherwise we’ll use force.”
I don’t know where they’ll take me, but my mind clings to something I know as support.
“My saber. I need my saber, please.”
“Hey. She owes me money. I won’t give you her things unless you pay.”
“Pay her. We don’t have time.”
“Move!”
When the other members hesitate, Crest screams at them. He then grabs me by my arm.
“Am I in danger?”
I can’t help but ask. Crest’s behavior doesn’t make sense unless he saw clues about the one who hurt me coming for me.
“Yes… It’s a complicated matter, but I assure you that our goal is to protect everyone in the kingdom. I personally will do my best to help you.”
Although it’s hard for me to trust him, I don’t have a better option. I rush my pace to avoid him dragging me and hurting me. We reach a dark-blue carriage with the emblem of the security force. Crest opens it and pushes me inside before him entering too. I look outside and see the other members coming while holding my things.
“Why do you want your saber?”
“It’s a gift from my adoptive father. It’s something precious to me.”
“I can’t let you have it, but they’ll keep it for you. Once we solve this, you’ll have it back.”
I nod at him while gripping my clothes.
