《The Gods' Decree》Life is really cruel

8% affinity Elements.
A sigh was heard coming from the five cultivators as they saw the results of the test. It was expected after all with this child lineage, how could they possibly be blessed by the heavens.
" Damian with an 8% affinity the likelihood of you reaching the 4th qi condensation is low but still possible. Arriving at the 5th qi condensation is basically insurmountable without the help of external factors."
A description of the road ahead was given to Damian by Malgrey who watched the youth as he went off the stage.
Next the blonde with freckles made her way towards the stage with anticipation written all over her face.
" My name is Lisa Paldon and I'm 15 "
She said as she moved towards the orb and slowly touched the orbs one by one.
Demonification - 0% affinity
Spirit - 0.1% affinity
Devil - 0% affinity
Element - 16.8% affinity
The results became evident for all to see as the orbs gave their percentages.
The group of cultivators nodded after seeing her result.
" Lisa the results are not bad, as you have hopes of reaching the 5 - 6th level of qi condensation. With external help, it could be even further"
A smile was seen from Lisa as Malgrey spoke of her potential. She bowed and then left the stage.
The two remaining members Taf and May made their way closer to the stage.
A squeeze was felt from May's hands and she looked to the side towards him.
" Don't worry"
He moved a few loose hairs that blew in her face behind her ear.
" It doesn't matter what the orbs say, we will do just as I promised. If it means to defy the heavens, we will do just that. Our path will be one to leave a scorch in time for all to see. "

" Remember....hand in hand at the peak"
A smile blossomed on May's face as she heard Taf's comforting words.
" What gall would honey have to compare itself to your mouth. They could use your words to sweeten the sourest of drinks.....my brute"
May loosen her grips on Taf's hand as she made her way forward to the stage where she saw the 4 glowing orbs.
" Hehee....seems we have stumbled on a couple of lovebirds"
Nisha could not help smile and laugh as she saw the couple's interaction.
" This is quite the surprise isn't it?"
" From the stories we were told of this Mouse, he is one that acts with savagery. A villain to the scum of this city who shake with the very mention of his name"
" To think he is such a softie when it comes to this lass"
Fiery-haired Malgrey responded as he looked at the youth with a head full of dreads.
" Hmm, let them have their moment for now, as the road ahead is not one filled with flowery meadows but thorns a thousand miles long"
Lovren to the side chimed in after hearing the words spoken. surprisingly there was not a sole that berated him after his comment as if silently acknowledging the point.
" Sigh...They will see the true world in time"
Luke shook his head as he thought of the obstacles awaiting the couple.
.....
" May Grace and my age is 14"
On the stage, a voice was heard as May's hands touched the orbs one by one.
Demonication - 0% affinity
Then she touches the other close by.
Devil - 0% affinity.
The watchers by expected such a result as May made her way to the final two.
Spirit - 41.2 % affinity
" What????!!!!!"
A commotion broke out on stage from the five who screamed in unison.

" How can a cultivator from mortal origins have such a high affinity to the spirit realm."
" It must be a mistake.....girl try again"
Malgrey lost his normally cool composure after seeing the results.
Seeing commotion May became shocked and looked at Taf who was off stage. He smiled and nodded for her to try once more.
Her hands once again touched the orbs that lit up in white light.
Spirit - 41.2% Affinity
The five looked at each other as the words seemingly couldn't be found. Until one member finally found the words, it was Cameron.
" We....we actually found a talent"
They silently watched as her hand went over the last remaining elemental orb.
Elements - 63.9% affinity
This time, not a word was uttered as the group looked on the girl before them. It was as if seeing the birth of a rare gem. Finally, the words came.
" Genius!!!!!"
Malgrey stood up as did all the other members as they eyed May as the most precious things they had ever seen.
" May Grace is it?"
He questioned as he looked on the girl that didn't seem to pay them any mind but the youth below who smiled became even wider as he saw her results.
" Yes that's my name"
She answered the questioned posed to her by the team leader.
" Were you born here in this city ?"
He once again inquired on the young lady before him.
" Yes this is the place of my birth and my parent as well as their parents"
The answer was once again given to the question posed.
They all looked at the other members within their group. Then Nisha saw the need to explain her reaction after seeing that May seemed unperturbed by her own extraordinary results.
" Within our sect having an affinity of 40 plus % in any path makes you a talent to be watched by the sect."
" An affinity of 50 plus % makes you an extreme talent that would be bestowed a better tier of reward than the norm"
" Then there are those with 60 plus % who are treated as the darlings of the sect. They are viewed as the foundation and future of the sect."
"That will be your future when we arrive at the sect."
For the first time envy could be seen on the faces of the cultivators as they eyed someone within this city. Among the group not one member has close to the affinity shown by the girl in front.
To make it worse this girl did not seem as if she cared much for such things. After hearing their response she acted as if she was just told where the nearest store was.
This made the already fuming Lovren who shook at the results even more pissed.
Why couldn't he be blessed with such luck? In the future no matter how hard he works this girl will pass him within quick time.
" Life is really cruel "
He thought as he saw May staring at the last remaining youth.
Taf then made his way towards the stage but was not paid much attention by the five cultivators.
" I have two names Tafari and the Mouse. The people I like can call me Taf but those who are not granted that privilege shall call me Mouse. "
" I however like a Sir before my name"
" My age is 14"
