《The Gods' Decree》Chapter 70 - Brave Man's Graveyard

"What did you just say...?"
Elder Mu questioned as he eyed the two newbies from head to toe. This was news that even in they're most bold of dreams would not be present.
This simply couldn't possibly be true. Someone with four affinities was indeed an oddity.
Imagine if they were to hand over such a prodigy to their lording country. Wouldn't their future be simple honey coated bliss?
They might even be setting their sights too low even then.
After experiencing this world, they knew for a certainty that this was something the sect could not dare have thoughts of claiming.
" Reporting to the Lord Senior, he had four affinities three of which had 90% plus affinity and one 100% affinity"
Once again Malgrey went on to disclose to the shocked elders.
" Can....can you four also confirm these finding?"
Alders posed the question to four other cultivators that apart from offering greetings had Malgrey do the talking.
" Yes Lord, what our team leader has described it is as such. We all can confirm that those are the correct results"
A quick response was heard from the one female of the group Nisha who knelt beside her team leader.
The other three members Cameron, Luke and Lovren both also confirm one after the other.
Hearing the confirmation of each of the members, the two elders felt this was definitely a certainty.
In their minds, various thoughts race through by the seconds but what was a certainty was they both felt glee. Their attitudes suddenly took a 360° took a turn as they viewed the seven before them.
" Good job...You have all done the sensible thing in contacting us. I'll ensure that you are all properly rewarded for your contributions."
Elder Alders went on acknowledge to the efforts of the team but just as before there was no joy shown.
" Maybe they are just being modest.."
He thought as he observed the five who seemed to for some reason or the other become more frightened.

" Step forth child let me see you..."
He went on to say to the two newbies who still had their heads bowed not daring to have eye contact.
Malgrey trembled even more after he heard the senior word.
" Senior...ah..."
" Neither of the two are with us....at the moment.
He continued to-shivered as he hurriedly spouted those words.
" What....."
Suddenly the pressure that had been withdrawn was now applied two times the previous amount.
The five could no longer dare to have thoughts of kneeling as their faces called the cold floor their pillow.
There they were with their bodies pressed to the ground. The two newbies, however, could not understand why the five that usually carried themselves with such dignity, were now pressing themselves against the ground.
The one surprising to apply the pressure was not the previous culprit Elder Alders but the lazy Elder Mu.
It caught Elder Alders by surprise for a bit as Elder Mu is known for his laid back mentality. For him to act in this manner was quite out of character.
He, however, shrugged it off. After all, who wouldn't act out of the norm after hearing such a thing.
" You girl speak.., ensure not to drag out your speech like the one before"
As he spoke seemingly more pressure was applied to the fiery-haired Malgrey. He groaned In pain as he felt as he was a mortal being crush under a boulder.
Seeing the scene, Elder Alders waved his hand that seemingly alleviated the pain that plagued Malgrey.
" Isn't that a bit too much...."
" I expect you to be a bit calmer than this. "
Elder Alders could not help but say after what he had just witnessed.
" Hehe.., seems I lost myself a bit there. Junior, please do not hold it against me."
A response was then given by the Elder Mu who laughed returning to his previous demeanour.

He would be continuously given an odd gaze from Alders who eventually once more became the focus on the juniors before him.
If his eyes had remained on Elder Mu he would see a peculiar glint within his eyes.
The members of Team Malgrey all were panting with Malgrey being the one gasping for the most air.
" What happened..?"
" Who are these two behind you..?"
Alders then went on to ask the group who had been relieved of the pressure. As usual in her role as vice team leader Nisha took the lead to converse.
" They are also recruits Lord."
On another day Elder Alders might have found it quite odd that four were found in the mortal city with affinities. However, those spare thoughts would have to wait for another day.
" Continue..."
He then encouraged Nisha as she spoke.
" They were taken by a masked assailant more than an hour ago"
" What....?"
Both elders exclaimed at the same time as their eyes met. They then surveyed their surroundings becoming vigilant.
Being in such close proximity to the Brave Man's Graveyard ( Red Forbidden forest) they had been on slight alert before but now things had escalated.
" Did he wear the attire of any of the neighbouring sects...?"
" What did he say...?"
Elder Alders uttered one question after the other while still being on full alert.
" He flew through the air just as the lords did. Wearing the attire one would expect from a mortal merchant."
" While threatening us with our imminent demise if we were to refuse"
A slight recalling of the events was once given by Nisha who tried to be as detailed as possible.
Both elders seemed to have paused A bit as If communicating telepathically.
" He at the very least is at the Lord realm..."
" Let see if we can uncover any more clues from these lot before reporting to the sect."
A way forward was given by Alders as they secretly corresponded.
" Seem like the only plausible option available"
Elder Mu took a slight pause before agreeing.
" Was there anything that occurred which stroke you as being odd?"
After they had ended their conversation Alders posed the question.
" Actually there is one thing I found puzzling Lord seniors"
Cameron who had been quietly observing came forth to say.
" Speak child and tell me what you had observed"
Elder Mu encouraged Cameron to take the stage and disclose his findings.
" Lord Seniors.., there was no seeming refusal from Taf. The one that is the highlight of this whole ordeal. He was not panicky or anything going along with every single word without any sign of apparent refusal"
" If you had met this youth.., you would know this is quite odd for his personality"
The other four members nodded as they had recalled having similar thoughts at the time.
Cameron continued to recount his observations to the elders before him
".... while the assailant seemed to be familiar with the couple"
" I remembered him distinctly calling her Taf's girlfriend, which you would only know if observing the pair's interaction."
A small detail of his observations was given by Cameron.
" Seems things might be far complicated than we initially thought"
Elder Alders made a point of saying as he went over the information.
" Which direction did they leave in?"
He then followed up by asking
" Lord they flew into the Brave Man's Graveyard ( Red Forbidden Forest)."
Malgrey who had finally regained a bit of his composure stated. After his words, he saw the colour seemingly being drained from the faces of both elders.
" This is a being we dare not disturb"

Celestial [A Progression Fantasy LitRPG]
Warning!Profanity, unconventional relationships, drug use, descriptive gore and intimacy. Celestial is a slow-paced and action-packed progression fantasy with elements from the LitRPG genre. The story focuses on the protagonist’s personal growth, violence, sex, exploration and adventure. Follow Zelaria as she embarks on her journey of exploration and adventure, seeking ever greater heights of power. With an affinity for the elusive and mysterious Arcane and a preference for the thrill of close combat she nonetheless chooses to walk the path of a mage. A mage may still use weapons but a warrior rarely casts spells as far as she knows. It’s a logical path for her even if others may call it insanity. What do they know? Most people who choose to specialize in wielding mana tend to pick a mage class aligned with their element. Why become a standard mage, average at everything, when you can use your affinity for fire to become a fire mage and cause destruction with ease? The only problem for Zelaria is that no one seems to know how to get a mage class aligned with the arcane. Approaching 17 years of age she’s still at level 0 while her peers have long left her behind, their classes selected at the age of 15 when they became available. Luck is on her side though as she manages to snag employment as a hauler with a party heading on an expedition to a dungeon abandoned centuries ago. They’re looking for riches and danger while she’s still looking for an answer, one she finds at their destination even if not in the way she expected. Nothing is going to stop her from enjoying all that the world has to offer, not the wish of her parents or even her death. I'll be aiming to upload 5 chapters in bulk every week.

Riftwalker
Legend speaks that a roaring force of insatiable abyss lies beneath the peaceful overworld. Named the Rift after its chasm-like entrances, this unexplored void has consumed the underneath for eons. What had seemed just a myth crawled out of unreality in the form of eldritch creatures. Reborn as something not entirely human, mankind rejected the boy. Thrown into the Rift by people who feared him, he had to live in a world run by monsters as a newborn. Surviving, however, wasn't his only difficulty as he soon had to decide whether he would save the people who banished him or simply idle as the Rift engulfed all life. As of chapter 9, Riftwalker is on a very small hiatus. I'm very busy with work atm :( Here are a couple of things to expect: Lots of action and exploration! Diverse and refreshing creatures; There are good and evil. Satisfying progression and coming of age. The protagonist stands out but isn't overpowered. There are some litRPG elements, but it's not a determinant factor. The fights are decided through one's combat skill and experience and not stat-checking. Oh, and some other info: There is a bit of gore, but nothing disturbing. Occasionally, there will be images of the scenery and landscape. Chapters will be around 1,5k to 2k words long, and the releases will probably be relatively slow, sorry.
