《Beware of Zombies》Dreams are just dreams, okay!?

I woke up swinging. A cry erupted from my chest, I felt like I was suffocating in pain. Memories of lightning striking my moronic self, surface like a replay. The first thing I remember was the pain of my eyes exploding like popcorn. Followed by searing pain in my head, chest, and just about everywhere else.
The upside is I survive something that I thought I wouldn’t.
Memories began to flood back in and I remember being eaten..
I touched my leg, but it was dry and bare. I sat up and looked around. The cold metallic table bent under my grip, I felt a bit of pride.
My body was hooked up to these machines, but they were only keeping vitals checked. Which mean those fucking sci-nerds actually got to take samples of me.
I tore the things off and tossed my legs over the side of the table. Landing on my feet a bit wobbly but I soon found my balance. The room was kind of small and bare, well other than the monitor and little threads dangling.
I turned to the door as it opened with a whoosh noise. A raven haired sci-nerd in a white coat walked in with a smile. A tablet in her head and eyes glistening like she was just told she was getting a nobel prize.
“Mr. Chase, it’s fine if I call you Chase, correct?” she sounded all proper-like.
I already didn’t like her. Definitely when she didn’t even bother staring at my boner, but is eyes glued to the tablet. Plus her thoughts were all on the results of the test. She was so stoked about it.
“Fine, tell me the good news. Be quick.” I snapped.
Her smile slipped away at the crackle of lightning. She gulped. “Er.. you complete the hundred percent transformation. All of your cells evolved past the baseline of humanity. After probing you with muons particles, it is noted that radiation decay from your negative discharge is similar to muons rather than electrons—”

I gave her a dumb look and she sigheed, realizing she was getting too scienszy.
“What I am saying is that you will be able to move at the speed of light if you learned how to utilize your electromagnetic field to fly.” The droop of her lip’s corner signifies to me that this was her talking to someone stupid.
I agreed and walked past her. I did not need to be beaten with science. That’s why I avoided dating science nerds.
“Wait, do you want to know what else I found?” She came jogging behind me.
There was a lot of equipment around. A flash of insight took me by storm. My body morphs and I move through wires, walls, and out a power outlet in my room.
I looked down as sparks died out. Interesting.
Jada looked at me for a moment, then she ignored me.
“I’m oom in ten.. Nine… eight.. Seven..”
I grabbed a pair of clothes and changed. Just in time, April came running into the room, fingers working deftly and with precision, at unwrapping a chocolate. She popped it into her mouth, gave me a passing hug, and dropped into the chair. Pulling on headsets while the game loaded in.
“No, ‘hey Chase. How was your day, Chase? Want a snack, Chase?’” I nagged.
She stuck out her tongue and threw a mushroom shaped candy at me. “Want a candy, Chase?”
I caught it and unwrapped it. “Why, thank you. I would love to have one.” Popping it into my mouth as she went back to ignoring me.
I walked into the kitchen and noticed there were new additions to the little underground fort. Autumn saw me after she brought a plate out of the kitchen. She smiled and took off her apron, walking over, attracting eyes.

She slid into a chair beside me, leaning on her elbow while giving me that seductive look. Like saying, hey, I look good, don’t I? Compliment me if you know what is good.
“Oh, Autumn. You look really good. I think I am the envy of the hall right now.” I laid it on thick but my mind was on food.
She rolled her eyes, creating a heft deep dish pizza. It smelled so good, three types of meat, a heft crust that looked so fluffy. You could almost use it as a pillow. I lifted up a slice and took a gooey bite. My body shivering in ecstasy. Even if she didn’t have that ten star look, just her food would make me love her.
“Thanks for looking after, April.” She said with that sexy pouty mouth smile.
I almost wanted to drop my food to take her to the nearest private location. Almost, wasn’t certainly though. With a mouth full of food, I responded. “No problem.”
She shook her head and helped me destroy the large dish. Even creating drinks to go with it. I wondered how encompassing her power was. We only had two slices left and left a pile of coke bottles in the center of the table, when this little midget of a girl sat down across from us.
I raised an eyebrow and snagged another slice. Autumn wiped her lips and turned to the girl.
“This is Nina, she is apparently the second strongest meta here.” Autumn introduced her.
Nina held out a hand, the other reaching for my last slice.
She lost her mind, didn’t she.
I sent over a tendril, but it deflected back. She snatched the pizza with a smug smile.
Wiping my hands, I ignored her and turned to Autumn. “Do you want to take a break?”
Autumn’s lips slipped into that smile that I loved on her. Well, loved now. Before it was kind of overwhelming. I think every meta was being hounded by single ladies and maybe married. Soon it probably was going to get out of hand.
“Yes, please.” She held out her hand.
Nina stood up with a grease stain on her chin. “Hey, wait. I wanted to talk to you.”
We ignored her, rushing away.
