《The Lost Characters [Vanilla Dark Fantasy]》056-The great godfather.

The bear didn't turn around again, but Adam was quite worried; the bear looked like he wasn't lying. His godfather had explained to him in advance that the booklets live forever, even if it looks like a sticker of an adorable little bear, it could well be older than the old man without eyes.
Cautiously, Adam went into the bathroom, it shouldn't be that difficult to get the smell, if it was just wearing dirty robes he wasn't worried as much as the bear had exaggerated.
Like everything in this room, the bathroom is very finely decorated, with a beautiful gold and silver bathtub, covered with a curtain made of violet silk. The floor had a nice rose-patterned tile, but it was dirty enough to really notice the pattern. A rather torn white robe could be found strewn across the tiles.
Upon entering the bathroom, Adam did not notice anything unusual besides that the rotten smell was getting stronger, to the point that it made him want to vomit. Resisting the urge to vomit, Adam found a pair of foul-smelling robes on the bathroom floor and went outside to see the bear and show him that he was brave.
"Here I have them, now let's go get the box!" Adam yelled, putting the robes in front of the bear.
The bear looked at the robe on the ground for a few minutes, then looked Adam in the eye and said in a hoarse voice:
“What you need is in the bathtub. Clothes are useless.
Adam understood the problem, it had to be something as dirty as underwear. The bear was telling the truth, he refused to wear someone else's underwear to camouflage his scent, so he pulled the godfather out of him and explained the situation.
If he was up to Adam, he'd rather spend more time trying to convince the booklets on his own. His godfather didn't seem to answer him, the more he asked, the more unusual his lack of answers became, until he finally wrote to her: 'The most important thing is that you heard the bear mention the word purge with the old man with no eyes. It would not be impossible for it to happen, just rare'

Adam read carefully and fearfully asked, 'What is a purge?'
His godfather responded immediately:
'The lower floor is full of lunatics, it is normal that there are intentions to expand by throwing out all the inhabitants of this floor'
Adam was quite nervous when he found out about that, he didn't want his father to be kicked out.
Then the words disappeared, and his godfather changed the message: 'They will only kick out the people on the first lower floors; your little friends would be safe and your father too, they wouldn't reach the bottom 5 floor, the process will be done slowly, so people don't get hurt, that's a purge of floors'
Adam relaxed quite a bit, knowing that nothing bad would happen to his father, but then the doubt arose, and he asked: 'Isn't it better for me to avoid following the bear and find my own method?'
His godfather took a while to respond, but finally a few words appeared in the biography:
'No, once the purge happens you won't be able to enter these floors, and you won't be able to get the booklets, if you don't return your favor, you'll be a bad boy, and you won't, you can live in the cave. Find the underpants, Adam!'
Adam got scared, he didn't want the eyeless old man to kick him out like his father did. With a little more courage, he decided to follow the bear's plan and went into the bathroom to look for his dirty underpants.
Upon entering the bathroom the same putrid smell invaded Adam's nose, for which he had to restrain himself from vomiting, he searched the entire room, but he did not find the panties on the floor, for which there should be more dirty clothes in the bathtub .
Reeling from the putrid smell, Adam carefully drew back the tub curtain, but there were no clothes in the tub. But if there was a terrible smell that made Adam vomit on the floor of the room, after calming down a bit and getting used to the smell, Adam took a look in the bathtub.

The bathtub was full of dirty black water. It seemed that this water was the source of the terrible smell. With some courage and a lot of disgust, Adam reached into the tub to see if he could find the underpants, since nothing could be seen from the surface.
The liquid seemed to be somewhat more viscous than normal water, which made Adam want to vomit even more, but resisting, he managed to find something inside the bathtub, but it didn't look like underpants.
Adam's face began to sweat because he didn't like what his hand was feeling, and with great fear, he took out what was inside the bathtub.
It was when a person's face began to form under the black water that Adam dropped what he was lifting and ran for the bathroom door. Adam desperately went to the bedroom door and tried to open it, but it seemed that the bear had closed it again.
—Calm down, it's just a dead man—said the bear calmly—If you make a lot of noise you'll attract attention, and you'll be the next dead person in this room.
Adam stopped trying and glared at the bear with hatred for having locked him in the room. He approached the finger-sized bear and yelled at it:
—Open the door for me! I am no longer interested in getting the booklet! I want to go home!
The bear saw the boy pounce on him, and he swam on the floor and ran to the ceiling of the room where Adam could not reach, he looked at the boy below him trying to jump to grab him and calmly said:
—You're a librarian, try to stay calm, or you won't last long in this world. Others don't care about your age. Talk to your godfather...
Adam kept jumping for a long time, as he saw that it didn't work, he tried to open the door again, but it didn't work. The boy looked for the keys, but did not find them. Finally, with resignation, Adam ended up paying attention to the bear and asked his godfather what to do.
His godfather only replied: 'Listen to the bear and get the booklets'
Adam was annoyed with the short response and wrote in the bio: 'But there are no underpants in the bathtub, instead there is a dead body!'
The godfather crossed out what Adam had written as if he had been upset, and a question was sloppily written on the biography:'But there are no underpants in the bathtub, instead there is a dead body!' 'Do you want to know the truth, Adam?'
The boy did not hesitate and wrote a simple: 'Yes'
His godfather crossed out all the written sentences, and a message appeared in the biography:
'The white wooden bookshelf put a bomb to your head, if you don't get at least one measly little booklets this week, your head will explode and a book will appear in its place, just like the Actorino did. Get the fucking booklets, kid!!'
