Steps quickened by excitement, Adam headed for the middle floors 5 of 5, hexagon 6 of 18. Inside this hexagon was the bookcase he was looking for. Once Adam arrived, he followed his godfather's instructions until he found the shelf he was looking for.
The shelf was incredibly recognizable to the naked eye, since it was made up of two very colorful colors: One was red and the other was light blue. The main woods would appear to be red and the stains on the wood were light blue. The books on the bookshelf were very diverse and had no particular pattern, some seemed magical and some seemed normal.
Following the detailed instructions. Adam pulled out a paper cone that said 'A Big Ass'. He put the cone on his head and ran, skipping past the bookshelf. Immediately afterwards, a face came out of the colored shelf and shouted at the top of its lungs:
—Happy 100 pages!
Adam looked at the head that came out of the shelf, it seemed to have a wooden mask with two faces: a happy one and a red one. The other was sad and light blue. He didn't seem to have eyes or teeth, instead in the hollows of his eyes and mouth there was an infinite darkness and every time he spoke he changed his tone between a happy tone and a sad one.
Adam seeing the face I know how to do it bravely and said:
—Hi, my name is Adam.
—Adam…— The wooden mask smiled with the two faces of him —Your karma changed, very interesting, how did you achieve it?
Adam was silent for a few minutes and didn't answer, just looked at the face and returned the smile. His face stared at his smile for a few minutes.
—Adam...—The mask made a sad face with its two faces—You're young, very interesting, how did you do it?

Adam was silent for a few minutes and didn't answer, just looked at the face and returned the sad face. His face stared at the sad face for a few minutes.
—You're not Adam…—The bookshelf said, a pair of eyes popping out of the gaps in the mask and staring at Adam.
Adam quickly covered his eyes and was silent for a few minutes without answering. His face stared at the boy with blindfolded eyes.
—You're not Adam…—The bookshelf said, teeth erupting and grinning at Adam.
Adam quickly covered his eyes with one hand and his mouth with the other. Then he was silent for a few minutes without answering. His face stared at the boy with covered eyes and covered mouths.
The mouth of the shelf began to grow and grow, Adam couldn't see it, but the head came to fill the entire shelf. Then the head snapped down, devouring Adam whole.
Adam opened his eyes again after a few seconds, he was on a sand island surrounded by water. The island seemed to be completely deserted, and it wasn't very big. Adam could see the two horizons just by turning around, and in a few minutes he could go around the entire island. The sand was quite white, over the sky a green sun illuminated the entire island with that color.
Following his godfather's instructions, Adam went to the opposite corner of the sun until the water from the beach reached his heels. Then the redhead counted 30 steps forward and began to jump through the sand in different parts of this area, trying to keep the distance of 30 steps with the water. Adam spent a few minutes jumping around and testing, until finally:
*Puck*...*Puck* Adam heard a distinct noise as he fell onto the sand and began digging his hands into the ground. After digging a bit, Adam noticed what appeared to be a plank of wood hidden under the sand.

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.

Northwoods Trapper
In the wild places of our planet, dark vestiges of our paranormal past yet cling to twisted life. In the past, the hunters and trappers of the world were tasked with removing such blights from society's fringes - legal assassins, enlisted to enforce the will of civilization against those unnatural, otherworldly hosts. Nowadays, we're not so lucky. With the idea of proper monster-hunting fading from public perception, the once-prestigious mantle is donned by amateurs, hobbyists, and self-taught warriors. It pays poorly, it's dangerous, and people would rather do something that gets them rich or famous or drowning in attention. Most often, new-age monster hunters are born from tragedy. They lack the tact, training, and funding of hunters passed. Instead, they have only their wits and brawn to carry them through. So it is with our hero. In the woods of the American Midwest, foul creatures lurk. Tabitha Varna, a young college drop-out scarred by her past, is determined to uproot them or die trying. Sometimes she hopes for both.[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
