Then the three boys took the first step. Touching the mirror, Adam felt as if something was sucking him, and his body disappeared into the air next to the old man on his shoulders.
* Ha ha ha * The old man's laugh behind his back was the first thing Adam heard after leaving the other world. The wooden corridors and the colorful light of the oil lamps were what finally got Adam and the children out of their daze, it didn't feel the same as going through a painting, going through this mirror left you a little dazed.
—You saved my life, hero—Said the old man on his back between laughs —As a reward, let me show you a good trick; put me on the floor near the mirror.
Adam turned around and left the old man next to the mirror. The mirror on this side was different from the one on the reverse world: it was made of silver and had the decoration of little devils with tridents and the engraved inscription in the language of the middle floor said: 'Look at your luck, look at your conviction, look at your death, but don't look too much, or you'll get lost'
The old man reached out and reached into the mirror, dipping it into its surface, then withdrew it and pulled out a green book. He put the green book down and reached back into the mirror.
The green book sank to the wooden floor like water until it disappeared from Adam's sight. Then the old man took the green book out of the mirror again and said with a smile:
—If you ever lose a book linked to your soul, you can find it this way. For example: the biography of your godfather. If the biography is destroyed, you can draw it again too, but wrap your hand in magical character sheets to do so.

—That seems like good advice, thanks—Adam said with a rather happy smile, it seems that being good really had the benefits of it —Where do I take you to be cured?
—To the guards on the stairs—Said the old man looking at his legs, the bleeding had stopped because of the tourniquet he had made, but he wouldn't last long if they didn't heal—Upstairs is the infirmary, so I'll be fine, just help me get there to the guards on the stairs, hero.
—Perfect, we're also going upstairs—Adam said, taking the old man again. To his surprise, the old man had left his godfather on the ground, so he asked:
—Aren't you worried about someone else using your godfather?
—You revived with few memories, hero. Nobody can use a book linked to your soul—answered the old man with black robe with a smile—But I don't blame you either, good resurrection methods are difficult to achieve. In my first resurrection I had forgotten almost everything too.
—Did you revive?—Adam asked as he moved toward hex 3 to reach the guards.
—A few times, I never give up—Said the old man with a bitter smile—In the long run, most librarians die because time kills you with unhappiness. But I never give up, one day I'm going to get what I'm looking for.
—What you're looking for must be quite important...—Adam replied with a bitter smile—To have suffered so many times in this world. I don't know if I could stand one more resurrection.
—No, it's just a useless book—answered the old man with a bitter smile—It's a green book and its cover has the inscription: 'Abel', I've been looking for it for a long, long time, but I keep failing.
—It must be very frustrating—Hermes commented with some sorrow—having lived so many lives and not having achieved it.
—On the contrary— the old man replied between laughs with irony—The fun is the process of looking for it, I will probably throw it to infinity when I find it.
Finally, the 4 reached the stairs, luckily they were quite close. Knowing that the questions would come, Adam took off his glasses. Over time, the young man discovered that his hero identity used to solve a lot of problems and more with the guards.

A-Live AI
The year is 2247. For almost two hundred years Sentient AI research has been banned. Everyone knew this, and yet no one has ever given up on finding the perfect setup for it. Restricted AI are rare, but possible to get ahold of if you have the money and the clout to get through the law for it. Especially when it deals with the military. Alfred Homis is an engineer and has spent the last three years working for the United Terran Military's Research and Exploration Department. Specifically to help build a 'shackled' AI who's prime directive was to explore potentially habitable worlds. Worlds that are far cheaper to colonize and add to the United Terran Directorate's fold than terraforming. During the AI's maiden voyage things go horribly wrong, taking Alfred Homis along for the ride. Thrown into a parallel universe where the laws of physics are just a little messed up, Alfred finds himself trapped inside the very machine he'd helped to build. Add magic, hostile fantasy creatures, and two different pantheons of 'Gods' to the mix and things get even more complicated. Oh, and an invasion between universes to boot. But that's just all in a days work though for Alfred, the AI Lord. Authors Note: Hi guys! Long time no see. And yes, I know that's all on me. But I blame life for that. Anyway, this is my new work, and I hope you guys enjoy it! The chapters are a little shorter than I'd previously posted in my other stories, but I cannot say that I have the same amount of time or energy to write them like that anymore. Sorry about that. Still, some warnings: There is cursing in this story. I am not going to edit it out. There will be sexual content later. Blood, gore and cruel depictions are all planned. If that isn't your thing, I'd suggest you turn back now. There is also my dry, and often not-so-funny sense of humor. And oh, it's all in first person gain. Haha. I just tend to write better that way. If none of that bothers you, then enjoy the read! Feel free to comment, point out mistakes, or make suggestions! Reviews are nice too, but please lay off the criticism until the story gets good and going. Thank you. Note 1: Some edits to the synopsis.

Idealism
Why am I even writing this Anyways I woke in a frenzy of enthusiasm and energy much like Karkat whenever he's embarassed or somesuch but whatever I can do whatever I want so I'm gonna write a story fueled by hate and rage and see if you like it becuase I know I sure won't total amateur here but whatever Jane Crocker don't you go and establish either a fascist regime or control the entire political climate but whatever, I can do whatever I want so here you go "Idealism" :the unrealistic belief in or pursuit of perfection The world probably can't be perfect but I shall write an unrealistic story on how it could be driven towards perfection I tagged it as Contemporary but if you look it up it shouldn't be tagged as such because this isn't believable at all
