《The King of Fighters》Chapter 23

Naruto arrived at the Aokigahara Forest also known as Sea of Trees near Tokyo after giving a call Zangief and Laura.
He arrived before them but he wasn't alone as someone had followed him.
"Are you Mr. Uzumaki?" A girl with a ninja suit asked in inquisitive tone as she sat on top of a tree branch.
Naruto looked at the girl that was dressed like a ninja and remembered the other guy.
"Yes, are you with Guy?" Naruto replied as the only ninja he knew was Guy in this world. They were rarely seen in this world and only few of them had participated in public fighting.
"Affirmative"
"And?" Naruto asked as he sat jumped on top of a branch and sat down.
"I wish to follow you. Guy said I could learn something new and this way we can approve of you as a friend."
Naruto looked at the girl, she reminded him of Anko with her revealing style. She was dressed as a ninja but one that was being sent for that kind of mission. She was revealing than Mai for sure and from her tone he could tell she was still in training.
He gave her words a thought. Having them as a friend could prove useful. They could provide him with information and help him find people. There was no down side to her following him since he could tell from her aura that she was a good kid and had never killed a person.
"Okay, just call me Naruto."
"Ibuki, would you please have a spar with me?" Ibuki requested as she looked at him earnestly. She had seen all his fights and become a fan. He was better than all of her teachers and even Guy approved of him.
They sent her to learn from him if possible. They had given her a grand opportunity so she couldn't waste it.
---------------
Ibuki had a curvy, petite, yet athletic build, and her black hair, remarkably divided in three angular bangs at the front, in the back twin ponytails about mid-thigh length and held back tightly in a topknot. Ibuki's outfit was a more traditional type of ninja dogi, consisting of a sleeveless black upper garment, baggy pants, arm guards, and a mask that concealed the lower half of her face. Her footwear consisted only of cloth bandages that were wrapped around her shins, ankles, and instep, somewhat realistically protecting her from foot related injuries. Her garments were more revealing than normal ninja ones, however.
Ibuki comes to represent the youth generation gap within Japanese society, a tomboyish teenage ninja divided between traditional Japanese devotion to duty and the rise of a global liberated and outgoing youth culture in the wake of the rise of modern Information Age infrastructure. Even though Ibuki was a well-trained ninja, she displays traits typical of a normal teenage girl in modern day society, stating on several occasions that she finds her ninja garments ugly and her daily training strange, while focusing more on enjoying life and being baffled at those who devote themselves to what they do. Despite this, she performed her role out of at least respect and to hopefully leave the way of the ninja peacefully in hopes of having a normal life. In turn, while she is with a sense of duty and responsibility and with striving determination for her own future, she comes across as somewhat shallow, vapid, and youthfully ignorant, with plenty of people noting she lacked focus as a ninja stemming from her not taking her role seriously, and with her not respecting at full what she was born into, the ways of the ninja included.

She had a typical interest in boys. She evaluated her opponents based on their looks, behavior, and clothing, as well as their fighting performance.
She even found her teacher a hunk but thought his clothing style was ugly. She found Naruto attractive, his fighting capability beyond her dreams and she liked his style and personality.
She was charmed by him from just watching those videos. She was a fan. She had developed a crush on him.
Ibuki was close friends with Sakura and Karin Kanzuki, and went to the same school. She had helped out her friends on many occasions and enjoyed the time spent with them, though both girls were more interested in fighting than Ibuki herself.
She used not to like her ninja training much but with time she has come to respect it and see its value in this world, though she didn't intend to make it her profession or follow in the dark path of ninja.
She was of the modern age and didn't intend to bloody her hands in the dark underworld.
She liked Naruto from the first time she saw him and meeting him personally, it only confirmed things for her. He had everything she liked in a guy and his aura was very nice.
-----------------
"Okay but be careful, this will hurt a lot." Naruto replied as he got up and his hand stretched forward, with moves like lightning he caught her clothes and dragged her to him.
"Now the battle is over." Naruto muttered as he gave her a bear hug.
'It feels really good to hug her small body.' Naruto thought as he increased the pressure as her mid class breast were pressed against his body and her soft body could be felt clearly. Ibuki was just 162 cm while Naruto was 190 cm.
"Do you give up?" Naruto said near to her ears in a playful tone. He wasn't intending to disrespect the girl but he wanted to show her the clear cut difference between them.
"That was not fair." Ibuki muttered as she hadn't expected Naruto to act like that. He was definitely one of them. Ibuki utilized one of the basic Ninja techniques to make her body malleable and slippery to get out his hold even though she liked getting the hug. She didn't know how he did it but he made it feel really comfortable.
Getting her body free from his grasp, she caught him in a hold like a python and placed her kunai on his neck.
"We are ninja, nothing is fair in battle." Naruto replied as he substituted with a leaf and easily escaped her hold.
She wasn't strong enough to actually harm his body but he didn't like acting like a tank. It would shame his ninja training.
Ibuki was shocked at the technique as he had just teleported out of her grip, though she had also felt that his body was too hard for her to damage.
Teleportation was very rare in this world and only few could use it, Dhalism, Bison and some others.
All fighters with such ability were truly troublesome and dangerous. Naruto wasn't going to remove her misconception and it was similar in a way.
He was substituting with something else and it required focus and good control. If Ibuki had used her Ki to affect his chakra even a little bit, it could have been cancelled.
It was unlike the teleportation that just required a thought.
Naruto didn't hesitate and closed the distance between them. His hand on her face, Naruto smashed Ibuki into the ground with moderate force causing the ground to shake and the dust to rise.

The impact rattled her mind and she hadn't been fast enough to react to his attack or even resist it. Naruto had learned one thing from all these fights, his speed adjusted to the fighter. He will never be faster but he won't be slower either.
It was proof of how powerful this mysterious girl was.
Naruto let go of Ibuki and let her regain her bearing while moving towards his new friends who had just arrived together.
Zangief, Laura, Mika and Sakura had arrived while King had already left the country this morning as he had other things to deal with while Dan and Blanka were still asleep at home.
"Good morning everyone, I hope you had good dreams." Naruto greeted them and hugged Laura before fist bumping with the others.
Sakura saw Ibuki and went to her side, "Ibuki, what are you doing here?"
"Training with Naruto, it's my new mission." Ibuki replied after a short pause as she blinked to adjust her sight. The back of her head hurt a lot and if he had been serious she could have broken something.
"Good morning to you as well Naruto. I definitely had some good dreams last night." Laura replied with a teasing smile as she winked at him.
"That's good to know. As you can see we have another friend joining this show. Now I will be showing you my true strength and make you understand, why you should follow me." Naruto smiled at her words as he turned to everyone and entered Sage mode.
All of them could feel the change in atmosphere. Naruto's energy had become denser and the pressure increased by a great amount.
They watched as Naruto sweeped his hand in their direction casually and all of them felt danger. They enhanced their bodies with Ki instantly and were sent flying as an invisible force hit them.
It was powerful enough to send them flying for miles if they hadn't quickly stopped themselves and then they felt the wind pickup before getting trapped inside a hurricane that formed around them.
They tried to get out but realized it was too powerful and would cut them to pieces of they tried going through it.
In a single moment, he had changed the weather of the area causing massive winds and storm to gather. And just like that all returned to normal.
"How was it?" Naruto looked at them with a large grin. They could see he was proud of his power and this scene.
"That was so awesome. How did you hit us? It wasn't wind." Sakura, Ibuki and Mika were excited like children as they rushed to his side.
"My power comes from Nature, meaning, my attack can come from all directions." Naruto replied as he enjoyed their looks of awe.
"But that is not physical power, show me power of muscles." Zangief asked as he walked closer.
"Is that all? Come here and pick this up." Naruto took out a jacket from his storage seal and it had weight seals carved on it.
It started from 10 tonne to 10,000 tonnes. Naruto was using it at full power now and didn't even exert much force since the Sage mode gave him 15 times boost, meaning he could lift around 30,000 tonnes.
None of them could understand what he meant as it was something not used in their world. Only when Zangief tried to pick it up from the ground where Naruto put it, did he understand how heavy the thing was.
He couldn't even budge it, even though he could bench press 2000 tonnes at full power. All of them could see Zangief exerting his full power and not getting result.
Mika decided to help him from the other side and even then they got nothing as Mika could only do 500 tonnes at best.
"Are you ready to serve me?" Naruto asked as they stopped trying after almost injuring their bodies from the exertion.
Zangief looked at the piece of garments that should realistically not even weigh more than a few Kg but was immovable by him now.
He could see the smile on Naruto's face and he mirrored it. He felt excitement from this experience as he could see how his powers and skills could improve. That guy was genius, whoever made this training plan.
"I am in."
"ME TO Me To" Mika responded in excitement as she had been charmed by the grandeur of Naruto's techniques and powers. She was a fighter that showed style and grand techniques to make the battle even more enjoyable than normal.
Naruto was really good at such things. He could have beaten them easily but he made a show out of it. That got the crowd in frenzy and they were still talking about him.
"What about you Laura?" Naruto asked as lightning appeared around him like a tamed beast before covering his whole body and rising into the sky. It came up and came down like an executioner's blade, destroying the tree.
"You just gave me the final push, so how can I resist." Laura felt no resistance anymore to the idea of serving under him. He was powerful, nice and very skilled.
"I accept the offer and wish to become your student." Sakura responded. She had thought about it and finally came to the decision that she wanted to become really powerful.'
She wanted to stand by Ryu's side and not get treated like a child.
She had realized that her interest in Ryu wasn't just because of his powers and her appreciation of his skills. She liked him as a man and wanted to travel by his side.
"Good, now did you guys call Ryu or not?" Naruto turned to Laura
"I talked to Ken and he said that Ryu will arrive in three days or a week at best." Laura replied. Ken had also showed interest in meeting with Naruto but he let Ryu decided what he wanted to do or he would have checked the situation first.
He trusted their words so it would be good, if Naruto didn't let them down or the trust between them would be affected.
"I am looking forward to meeting them and now, let's start today's training." Naruto passed them similar jounin jackets as he had many copies since they could get destroyed during battle and he stayed too far from Konoha for resupply.
All of them wore it and Naruto activated the seals on them. He gave them different pressure according to their physical limits.
He also showed them how to change it so they could train by themselves. Zangief without Ki enhancement could only pick up 200 tonnes while Mika 50 tonnes.
Laura didn't focus on strength but she could also lift 50 tonnes and the same went for Sakura while Ibuki could only lift 20 tonnes as she was speed oriented.
Surpassing human limits through the usage of Ki was the basic of any decent fighter. It stimulated the body to keep on adapting to new levels.
"Now sit down, I will let you experience what I pan for Ryu. You will face your darkness today. You don't have to fight it. Darkness is yours not someone else's. Denying it only makes it worse and is the reason for Ryu's problem. He is denying a part of himself and fearing it, giving it more strength over him." Naruto explained and all of them followed his command as they sat down on the ground, not minding the dust or anything since it was normal for all of them.
Naruto went through the signs and all of them felt themselves enter a new world, the world of their souls.
Waiting for them in this new world where all they could see the same background as the real world, they saw their clones with black and red eyes with an evil aura around them.
"I have been waiting for you. Give me freedom!"

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
