Atogin laid there, unconscious on his bed, with a tophat on his bedside table. Nicko and Kaloko were sitting on stools by his bed, sleeping on each other's shoulders. The wound that was inflicted by the goblins fingernail had left a scar across Atogins forehead. Atogins eyes started to squint and opened. He tried to get up, but Atogin also tore his ankle in the fight. After he wiggled his foot, Atogin felt a jolt of pain.
“Ouch!” Atogin screamed.
Kaloko, Nicko and even the tophat jumped. Kalo and Nicko’s eyes started to water with tears.
“Oh thank ‘Creator’ you’re conscious again,” Kaloko cried.
“What happened?” Atogin asked everyone.
“You were stubborn and you were poisoned by a Hobgoblin fingernail,” Harri replied in the tophat.
“Why are you in there Harri?”
“We all got a special ability, I don’t want our new companion to be hurt,”
“What new companion? Show me,”
“As you wish,”
Harri appeared from the top hat with Dropley in the hood of his coat. Atogin immediately saw the blue and threw a knife that was laying there on his bedside table. The blue blob dodged the knife.
“That’s why I was in there, my special ability is beast taming, perfect for a magician like myself,” Harri yelled.
“So, what's mine?”
“You have an alchemist ability called [Transmutation],” Kaloko interrupted. “It allows you to concentrate, disperse, fuse or defuse raw materials, it will help us later to gather materials,”
“Great! Sorry to say, but right now there has been something that has been bugging me,”
“What is that?”
“I’ve evolved,”
Harri, Kaloko, Nicko and even dropley showed an expression of shock.
“Before you ask, why don’t you appraisal me, Harri and Kaloko,”
Both of them did.
[Name: Atogin Tyre]
[Race: Demi-human: Night Owl]
[Job: Assassin/ Alchemist]
[Gender Male]
[Lvl 14]
[Stats:]
[Hp 62 ]

“You have evolved, from an owl to a night owl,” Harri replied.
Everyone looked at Atogin, he had more feathers and gained jet black spots all across his hair and plumage. His eyes now had a yellow tint, Atogin was also taller and slightly more masculine.
“You’ve been out for almost a day, let's get a drink,” Nicko said.
Everyone nodded their heads, and they helped Atogin downstairs to a table. After they settled down the innkeeper noticed and she immediately came to their table.
“What can I get for you and your injured friend today?” The innkeeper cheered.
“Some mead please, a barrel for the four of us,” Harri replied “Also, I have a few materials to trade,”
“Well then, a barrel of mead and a business deal, you can come now to the reception,”
“ALONE,”
“That is also possible, come with me,”
The innkeeper led Harri out the back of the inn to a large dismantling table.
“Now what is so large that you cannot sell at the reception?” The innkeeper barked.
“Just a moment, and could you get a large barrel,”
“Sure, why not”
The innkeeper got a barrel from the side of the room. Harri took off the tophat, then continued to open the Infinite Item boxes menu. Harri chose an item and some Hobgoblin blood poured out of the tophat into the barrel, there was so much that the innkeeper had to get another one.
Harri then put the rest of the Hobgoblin’s body parts onto the table, neatly laid out, from the skin to the clothes the Hobgoblin wore.

“You defeated a Dark Hobgoblin Leader?” The innkeeper whispered.
“You wonder why my friend is all fucked up?” Harri replied to her.
“And laid out like that, how did you do that?”
“The tophat does have it’s kink's, doesn’t it? Especially when you do it yourself”
“This is the first time anyone has put in a complete Dark Hobgoblin leader, this means it’s a first buy,”
“What does that mean?”
“Your price is quadrupled, with it already skinned and in such good condition, it would be sextupled,”
Harri had to stop for a minute, a first kill… the group of four had just obtained a small fortune
“Deal!” Harri yelled.
The innkeeper then gave Harri four equally sized pouches, which he then put into the Infinite Item Box.
“How much is in here per person?” Harri asked the innkeeper.
“200,000 sals in each sac,”
“200,000!”
“Yes, now get out of here! Before you take my ears out!”
“Alright, Alright,”
Harri went back to the table where his friends were. He sat down then proceeded to get out the pouches of sals and put them on the table, the four of them all tapped a bag at once and looked at there sals wallet to notice that it shot up drastically.
“Before you ask, it was sextupled due to me doing the hard work of dismantling it as well as it being a first buy,” Harri quickly said.
“Well then, that explains that, let’s drink!” Atogin yelled.
“Before that, I have something to give you,”
“And what is that my fellow companion?” Atogin said in a playful tone.
Harri accessed his Infinite Item Box and threw a bright red stone at Atogin. Atogin caught it and his eyes lit up.
“A get well gift, NOW LET US DRINK!!!” Harri yelled.
For thirty minutes the four drank the sweet mead and chattered with red blushes. The ‘Creator’ decided that people can drink ten times as much as they could. All was fine until an injured party of six walked in limping, which what seemed to be a Dark Hobgoblin leader which they were dragging behind them by ropes.
“I’m gonna be stinking rich,” The one leading the group muttered.
The four of them realized that the party of six or the presumed leader was after the first buy. Harri and Kaloko used appraisal on the Hobgoblins corpse.
[Dark Hobgoblin Leader]
[Status: Deceased]
[Body Status: Badly damaged]
“Guys, these people are after the first buy, this is the monster we fought, not to mention it’s badly damaged,” Kaloko whispered to everyone.
“Finally a bar fight,” Atogin responded.
“Don’t get your hopes up,”
The group of six got the attention of the innkeeper, and by what it looked like, the innkeeper gave off a business smile, ready for a face full of yelling.
“Hello, what can I do for you today?” The innkeeper asked.
“Shut it Missy Big Boobs, I’m here to sell this Dark Hobgoblins corpse,” The leader yelled out.
“Ok sure, would you please give the items to me?”
“Fine whatever,”
The group lumped the corpse in front of the innkeeper. The innkeeper was disgusted with what the party did to the Hobgoblin corpse. Unlike Harri’s group, this Hobgoblin was completely demolished. After a few minutes, the innkeeper started to talk.
“This Hobgoblin corpse only comes up 20,000 sals ” The innkeeper calmly said.

“Pardon me, but I think you forgot to say ‘each’,” The leader replied.
Harri immediately took note of the fight of what was going to happen.
“Dropley, when I say ‘go’, melt that man's weapon,” Harri whispered to Dropley.
The large blue blob in Harris coat nodded.
“No, I'm afraid that this corpse is worth only 20,000 sals, due to its condition,” The innkeeper continued.
“You’re bullshiting me right!?” The leader yelled.
“Unfortunately, that is not a joke,”
“Tch, you BITCH!” The leader yelled whilst unsheathing his sword.
“Go!” Harri yelled.
Dropley sprung onto the leader's sword and melted it. The blue blob then jumped back towards Harri
“What the fuck are you doing!?” The leader yelled.
“I just saved you five days in jail as well, a 50% exp debuff for a week, and your reputation decreasing exponentially,” Harri replied.
“Screw you! I was ripped off, I defeated a Dark Hobgoblin Leader! I should get more sals than that! It was a first buy!”
“Excuse me, innkeeper, may I also look at the Dark Hobgoblin Leaders corpse?”
“You may be my -” The innkeeper replied before she got cut off.
“Hold it! What gives you any say in this!” The leader shouted.
“Because my [Appraisal] skill is level 5 and maybe level 6 very soon, this will also allow another say in this,”
“Fine! Just do it,”
Harri nodded and used [Appraisal] on the Hobgoblin corpse.
[[Appraisal] has reached level 6]
[Dark Hobgoblin Leader]
[Status: Deceased]
[Body Status: Severely damaged]
[Killed by {Gold the Great}]
“Not only did the [Body status] change, but it was killed by Gold,” Harri thought.
“Well then, as you can see that I killed it or whatever, now tell this stupid bitch that she got the price wrong!” The leader yelled.
“You didn’t get the finishing blow,” Harri replied.
“Then who did!”
“Gold the Great,”
“You mean that weakling?” The leader pointed to a man with a hood on.
“Yes, and in fact, he should be the one splitting the rewards,”
“Bullshit, I should be the one getting the rewards, and what about the first buy!”
“This isn’t a first buy,”
“And how would you know!?”
“Because my group and I also defeated a Dark Hobgoblin Leader, and we didn’t fuck up the entire body!”
“Tch you fuckwit! Everyone get him!”
“No, Harri’s correct,” Gold replied to the leader.
“What do you mean Gold!”
“I’ve picked a fight with Harri before it isn’t pretty, don’t do it Noir,”
“Just shut it, sparkly man! I’ll take care of this myself, and then I'll extract what is rightfully mine, this fucker's Sals!”
Noir unsheathed another sword and swung at Harri.
“[Spark]!” Harri yelled.
Harri’s entire hand lit up with a faint and noisy light. He then punched Noir in the chest, which made him spasm on the floor.
[Your reputation has gone up by 25 points!]
“B-bastard, give me MY sals!” Noir stuttered loudly.
“Alright, I’ll give you YOUR sals,” Harri replied.
Harri then got out five small bags of sals and gave them to Noirs party. After there was one bag left, Harri went up to gold and looked straight into his eyes.
“You said I would pay someday, so here are 15,000 sals,” Harri whispered in Golds ears.
“Thank you,” Gold replied softly, with tears welling in his eyes.
“Innkeeper, give half of the reward to Noir, then 2,000 sals for each of his party members,”
“Understood Harri,” The innkeeper replied.
As Harri was walking back to his table, he heard a *clink* from behind. As he turned around, there was Noir (Who had recovered) and an unknown large chested female with a rapier clashing swords. Three guards entered the inn and took custody of Noir.
“Noir Blackshade, due to your current actions of disturbing this inn, you will spend five nights in prison and gain a seven day [%40 XP debuff],” One of the guards yelled.
Noir was taken out of the inn and all was at peace. Harri walked up to the mysterious rapier woman and started to talk to her.
“Thank you for saving me, would you care for a drink with my friends?” Harri asked the woman.
“I would be delighted, my name is Enar,” The woman replied.
“Innkeeper another chair please!” Harri yelled to the innkeeper.
Harri and Enar sat down again, Harri greeted everyone to Enar.
“Everyone, this is Enar. If you saw the fight, she saved me from Noirs failed to sneak up,” Harri said.
“Greeting everyone. So this is the ‘Creators’ group of four,”
Everyone was surprised, how did Enar know that the four had met the ‘Creator’ in person. Kaloko drew her bow.
“Who are you!” Kaloko yelled.
“Be quiet, I also met a creator, but I did not get a choice,”
“Sorry to interrupt, but is it ok if I use appraisal on you?” Harri asked.
“Be my guest, you should know that my class will come up as Swordsman: Rapier, my actual Job is [Hero]”
Harri used Appraisal on Enar.
[Name: Enar]
[Race: Human]
[Job:Swordsman: Rapier]
[Gender: Female]
[Lvl 14]
[Stats:]
[Hp 69]
[Str 48]
[Mp 67]
[Spd 62]
[Stm 45]
Harri eyes almost fell out of their sockets.
“My ability is called [Even up], it’s an ability which drastically increases my stats when I level up,” Enar continued.
“Well now, I’m scared of you,” Harri replied.
“Don’t be. I just want to join your party,”
“Seems like a fine deal,”
“What!,” The other three yelled.
“Just think about it everyone, if Enar is on our team, not only will we have more firepower, but we could also use her as a back up if one of us is unable to fight since her stats are so high,”
“I want a majority vote,” Atogin replied.
“Agreed,” Kaloko and Nicko then said.
“Ok, so does not want Enar on the team?”
Kaloko and Nicko put their hands up.
“Now, who wants Enar on the team?” Atogin asked.
Atogin and Harri put their hands up.
Since the four were at a standstill, Harri asked Dropley for its vote.
“Dropley, would you like Enar on the team? Jumping up and down for yes, no reaction for no,” Harri said to Dropley.
Dropley immediately burst into action and jumped up and down at an alarming rate.
“I believe that is a yes, welcome to the team Enar,” Harri continued.
“It will be a pleasure working with you all,” Enar said in a posh tone.
“Now my friends, LET US DRINK!” Atogin yelled.
And so they did, right until the moon was at its highest.

The Shadow Paradigm - Book 1: Project Orb Weaver
Gardening, cooking, innovation, preservation, charity events... Madzistrale, Tom and Gabzryel does it all. But when they encounter the mysterious Shiakar Paradigm Society, a clash of paradigms ensues. Although both groups are aiming to make humanity stand stronger, their ideals and methods could not be further apart. Between the trio's optimistic yet naive ideals, and the SPS's tried-and-true surgical methods, determining the answer which methods can better humanity is a struggle that both parties must resolve in their own ways... Welcome to the 7th revision of my 10+ years ongoing novel trilogy. This revision took out some flawed plot concepts to re-introduce a more down-to-earth, film noir-like ambience, where a battle of wits is what will determine the outcome. It also added instead more in-depth expansion into the lives and mindsets of the characters, especially the heroes (a missing factor in older versions). Third-view limited storytelling was also introduced more prominently over my favoured third-view omnipotent, with each chapters concentrating as much as possible on a single character's point of view instead of head-hopping. So I shall begin uploading the chapters as I finish them; they're edited as much as I can, but there'll most likely be some typos and mistakes. As always, I welcome your comments and critiques, and I hope you enjoy reading that story as much as I did creating it! A parting poem to introduce the story (translated from its original French version): Credit: Les Mots, Mylene Farmer & Seal Firmly, the sky writhes When a mouth begets a death There, I will give my life to hear you To tell you the most tender words When all becomes all alone I'll break my life for a song And to lives that stoop to notice mine I know I will say goodbye But a fraction of this life I would give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives You could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple If one swept the world away One could touch the universe I will tell you how the sun rose high We could with a word become one And for all those words that hurts us There are those that touches us Which illuminates, touches the infinity Even if nothingness exists For a fraction on this life We will give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives We could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple

The Book of Hickory
Now why did Hickory go and punch that Angel? Sure it spooked him, popping up right there at lunch, and yet, it wasn't fear that balled his hand into a fist - Cause wouldn't you? Wouldn't anyone - with a sick Ma at home, Da long dead, buried, all them prayers piling up on bruised knees, unanswered? Hickory was angry, all right. He was fierce, now - cause that Angel didn't show up to give no help, that Angel came by asking for it - with all that power just plain to see, the power to fix the world and all that ails it! And now look what poor Hickory has to do - to save the world? Now how is he supposed to do that when its taking near everything he's got - just to keep them chickens safe, Ma fed, and himself out of trouble - All he wanted was maybe just a dance with May, maybe a bit more, to hold her close? That she's sweet, now, a voice like an angel, but now she's over there lookin at him like he's more than a man. And that's not to say Hickory is bad, not all the time, not ever on purpose - just there are things a man has to - That drinking and fighting ain't wrong just as long as the chores are done proper first, that those parts of life that make it worth living ain't no sin, that loving a lady is proper and Hickory just has so much love to give! And May is special, right, sweet and soft, now she's sophisticated. That she wears her passion like a pearl necklace? That certainly Hickory would notice, naturally - that she's already spoken for, perhaps taken? That ever since Hickory came back, that all she can think about is swallowing - those strange feelings, because it wouldn't do, would it? For a Lady? But certainly she can worship him and still be seen with Weston Covanger? Because Weston needs May, that what happens in the Study is only half the battle, the Men's Business, and he's far too proud to settle for half of anything. That if he wants to move up the ranks of his family, to be more than a Covanger, to become the Covanger? He's going to need a woman in the Kitchen as well - he's going to need May. And if that seems a bit old fashioned? A bit too much like the Wild West? Well the West is starting to get wild again now that everyone starts to Drink. A different take on LitRPG where answers aren't given - they must be earned, discovered and fought for, one at a time. An orator style, a long read, filled with magic buildings, crafting, alchemy, but most of all - This is a story about the human spirit. About understanding what defines a person, their morals, their beliefs, and also faith when everything they understand becomes challenged - changed. So do they. People can change. They will. Just not always for the better, not always - sometimes. Sometimes that's enough. Sometimes that's even everything.
