Kaloko began to fidget around in her right thigh pocket, pulling a flask of pure liquid out. She put it into Atogins hands and looked deep into his eyes.
“Take this to Nicko, I’m up next so I can’t go, please Atogin, it’s filled of a jelly which helps treats burns, and looking from up here, he’ll need it,”
“Don’t worry Kaloko, I'll be quick.” Atogin put his left hand on her right shoulder before running out of the room.
“It’s a shame my teacher won’t watch this,” Kaloko continued.
“Why?” Enar asked.
“She was put on a mission for some monsters, it’s a shame she won’t see me in action,”
“You’ll probably be facing off against that [Elf] form last time, are you sure you’ll be okay?”
“I will Enar,”
“There is one thing you should know about him Kaloko,” Harrian interrupted. “That [Elf] has probably become a [Dark elf] by now, and they are known for their ability [Decay],”
“[Decay]?” Kaloko and Enar asked.
“A [Black Magic] spell, but different, it allows the user to kill living matter, it depends on how strong it is,”
“Why are you telling me this Harrian? Why right now?”
“Because Kaloko, you’ll have to be careful, your and [Impure Wood Elf], making the damage from [Decay] even deadlier,”
“Thanks Harrian, I'll see you around, [Float].”
Kaloko jumped out of the royalty room and began to gently float down. Harrian smiled while that happened whilst Enar looked confused.
“[Float], ti’s as it said, the user floats down,”
“Do you have that Ability Harrian?” Enar asked.
“Yes, but soon it will become [Hover], then [Levitate], then [Fly],”
“When will I get it?”
“[Gale affinity] level 3, and why should you worry, didn’t you want to become an angel? It make it unlock automatically,”
“I guess you’re right.”
By the time the conversation stopped, Kaloko’s feet had touched the ground of the stadium. At the same time, the [Dark Elf] walked at the other end of the stage. His skin had a tinge of purple, and his hair which used to be blond was now pure black and like the rest of Aelor’s team, his eyes were also completely dark.
The [Dark Elf] was wearing an attire similar to Kaloko’s, wearing clothes that were made of fur, although unlike Kaloko’s yellow hides, the [Dark Elfs] were also pure black.
Kaloko kept walking up to the [Dark Elf] before the king's voice began to echo throughout the entire colosseum again.
“May the duel commence!”
Kaloko quickly drew her bow, and fired at the [Dark Elf]. It was a clear shot, to the dark elf’s right chest, except something happened. The arrow just disintegrated.

‘It’s just as Harrian said,’ Kaloko thought. ‘I have to play carefully with [Decay]’
Kaloko quickly knocked another arrow and took aim again, but this time, she was the one that was hit. A large black needle pierced her right arm, throwing her shot off, and missing the [Dark Elf]. The clothes that Kaloko wore began to change, a small plant crawled from underneath her coat. The plant rushed to the injury pulled out the needle before applying some sort of green liquid on it, before it disappeared back into her coat.
The [Dark Elf] saw this and began to walk up towards Kaloko. He clapped and began to talk to her.
“It’s a shame I have to kill you,” The [Dark elf] said, putting his hand on his head.
“And why do you think you’ll come out victorious,”
“Isn’t it simple, poison on that needle is beginning to coarse through your body, soon your entire physique will turn black and you will die,”
“Who said that it’ll kill me,” Kaloko showed her right arm towards the [Dark elf], too see that a small amount of black skin was returning to Kaloko’s normal skin tone.
“I see you’re a great opponent, so I shall tell you my name, they call me Ligo,”
“Well then Ligo, get ready to lose.”
Kaloko shot her arrow, but this time it was different, she used [Arrow Turn] which changed the course of the arrow, which almost hit Ligo, but missed. Kaloko smiled and used the same spell again, piercing Ligo’s right arm, which changed his forearm.
Atogin came running back to where Enar and Harrian were, whilst drinking a yellow potion. He finished the potion before walking in between Enar and HArrian.
“Nicko will be fine, but how's Kaloko?” Atogin asked.
“Her arrow changed course in midair,” Enar replied.
“But that’s normal, she used it when I was unconscious and a [Dark Hobgoblin Leader] was attacking us, also when Harrian got Dropley,”
“Twice,”
“That hasn’t happened before,”
A person who dressed like a ninja appeared behind Atogin. When the [bird demihuman] noticed, he hugged the man before grabbing the ninjas shoulder and began talking.
“This here is Lunan, my teacher,” Atogin layed the biggest grin, with Enar and Harrian leaving a straight face.
Lunan removed Atogins hand before talking. “It seems that your teammate has unlocked a [Taboo Skill],”
“A [Taboo Skill]?” Enar asked.
“A [Skill] that is gained after a certain screen pops up, if you accept, you get a random [Taboo Skill], she got it on the night Atogin talked about,” Harrian replied.
“I see,”
“Harrian, how do you know that?” Atogin asked, also realizing that Kaloko spoke that corrupted language that night as well.

“I had spare time at the royal library, you’d think I’d find something interesting,”
“But what [Taboo Skill] does she have?”
“It’s probably the [Skill] called [Arrow Connection], she can enchant an arrow an infinite amount of time, even after it’s left her bow, most elite archers can only enchant their arrow about ten times,” Lunan replied.
“I see,”
“Another question, that [Dark Elves] arm just changed, he had nothing on it, but now he does,” Sivent asked.
“I can answer that, it’s [illusion magic], his arms looked like it didn’t move, but in fact he was shooting from a small crossbow on that arm.”
“How do you know that Harrian?”
“I have that ability as well, who knows, maybe i’m, a [Dark Elf] myself,”
“Are you?”
“It’s for you to decide.” Harrian tipped his tophat to Sivent and kept watching.
During the group's conversation, Kaloko’s and Ligo’s fight went from fighting with arrows to close quarters. Ligo was using a blade which seemed to have transformed from the crossbow on his arms he was using before, whilst Kaloko was using the whip she used to beat him last time.
Although the battle was fair, Kaloko was weakening slowly, but Ligo didn’t know that. Was parrying whilst attacking Ligo’s attacks, bruising him everywhere. Kaloko used her connection to nature to set up a trap. Ligo showed no sort of knowledge of the trap being made, or how it was being made.
Inside the whip, Kaloko placed seeds, which scattered every time the whip cracked, and each time it cracked, the whip grew longer, but the strategy also began to weaken Kaloko. Using her [Wet Affinity], Kaloko, was dampening every place she stepped, strengthening her plans.
Lunan noticed the slight change and decided to speak.
“Your friend is very smart, making each place she touches moist whilst planting seeds,” Lunan said. “Though she’ll almost be done soon,”
“What’s happening?” Atogin asked.
“You’re teammate there probably has a [spellbead of nature], enough to make ten seedlings into massive fruit bearing trees,”
“But why?”
“Don’t know, I think she’s planning to crush that [Dark Elf] with the force of those branches,”
“But if it goes badly,” Atogin put his hand to his chin and was almost lost in deep thought .
“Most likely if it fail, your friend will move onto the next life, or become a seed for something else,”
“But teacher, doesn’t resurrection exist in this world,”
“What god does she worship?”
“I believe the [God of Nature],”
“Then she won’t be able to resurrect as an [Elf],” Lunan looked back to the fight.
“Oh.”
Kaloko was beginning to be covered with more slashes whilst Ligo was being covered in bruises. Kalok wrapped her whip around Ligo’s neck before flinging him a few meters away. She took that time and fiddle around in her left thigh pocket and pulled it out.
A glowing green orb was now in her left hand. It had a dim green light emitting from it with a symbol that looks vaguely like the symbol of omega. Kaloko crushed the small orb and her hand began to change. Her arm began to turn to a wooden texture, before stopping at the elbow.
Ligo got up and saw what was happening, he smiled and opened his arms, accepting his fate. Kaloko lifted her hand up, and all the seeds around Ligo began to grow, and the plants began to wrap around him, only leaving his face free of plantation.
Kaloko then got out her bow again and began enchanting it.
“[Penetrate], [Enforce], [Pinpoint], [Critical Shot], [Vital Area], [Wooden Residue], [Wind Force],.”
Kaloko launched her arrow and it went through Ligo’s abdomen, leaving a clear wound with a plant-like outline. Kaloko then cast [Arrow Turn] and it came back, making another clear circle in his right lung. Kaloko sighed and sat down, but not for long.
Ligo with almost no strength left opened his mouth to show Kaloko something. Inside his mouth there was another [Spellbead] but it was purple and had the delta symbol on it. He closed his mouth and Kaloko heard a crunch, which changed everything.
Ligo’s entire body began to change, his dark skin turned into an illuminated purple. His iris colour became violet and his hair turned white. Ligo’s wounds healed almost in a second, and all the plants touching him began to disintegrate.
Kaloko with no strength left closed her eyes and waited. Ligo jumped at her and grabbed Kaloko’s face before using his final spell.
“Any last words Kaloko?” Ligo asked her.
“You’ve won this battle Ligo, but that doesn’t mean you’ve defeated me, eat shit Ligo.”
“Very well, [Decay]”
Slowly, Kaloko’s skin began to crack, each one beginning to release some sort of black mist. Her entire body began to turn black and then, she turned to dust which scattered in the wind. Atogin watching, tears now welling from his eyes, he began to shout.
“Kaloko!”
Enar and Harrian hugged each other, trying to come to terms with the fact. Ligo had won, and Kaloko was no more but dust in the wind.

Killstealer
Unfinished - Apologies to anyone who was reading but I have no current intentions to revisit this story Alex was stuck in a rut: He was nearing thirty, and his career seemed to be going no-where; He used to have plenty of friends at university, but had gradually lost touch with them. He had recently started using a dating site, but truthfully he never quite got over his ex. It could be worse; he didn't spend his nights wallowing in self pity. However, he had a sinking feeling that his life was going no-where fast. When Alex decided to take up an old hobby all he really was looking for was something fun to do on friday nights. Thrust into another world by a mad mage Alex must adapt quickly to survive. Unfortunately, Alex showed up late to game night and ends up stuck with a pretty mediocre character in this game like reality. Alex must learn to survive in this new world; just because it all seems like a giant game doesn't make death any less terrifying. This will be my first attempt at writing litrpg. I wanted to set myself the challenge of writing every week and I think knowing people might be reading it will motivate me. I've always worked much better with external deadlines. FAQ Why should I read this LitRPG? I am writing because I enjoy it and you should read it if you enjoy it. If I had to make an elevator pitch I would start off by saying my MC is a rogue type character, which seems a relatively uncommon character at least based on what I have read. I also strive to make the supporting cast three dimensional characters, and not just caricatures. Finally, I can't forget that this is a LitRPG so I have tried to make a RPG system with depth, and one that makes sense. How often will you release chapters? At least once a week is my goal. I am a nurse with a baby at home, so between my hospital and my baby I won't have time for more unless something dramatically changes. Will there be romance? I won't rule it out as I try to let my characters write their own stories. However, there will NEVER be a harem, it just isn't something I am interested in. Gore, Profanity, and Traumatising Content? I don't intend to have any of these present at obscene levels, but my tolerance might be different to yours. The tags are mostly there to cover me.
