《The Infinite Item box IS the best thing someone can have on an adventure》Chapter 30 - Feast

“Come on, princess, won’t you take my hand in marriage?” Two men were harassing Tifian in the castle, she had returned yesterday and was wondering about Harrian. The first was a tall thin man, a bit older than her; he had freckles, ruffled mustard yellow hair with swamp green eyes.
The other was younger and much shorter, but plumper, almost three times the width of his brother. He had the same features like the tall man, watching him while eating a large piece of meat on a bone, grease staining his face.
“For the last time, Reli and Ketch, I’m not interested in your proposals,” She replied.
“But why not? It would be great for a better trade route of fish from the south. What do you say?”
“The fish of the Swamped Sea is revolting, even when Royalty comes to visit, they haven’t served their local fish for over a century, it wouldn’t make a difference to Koumides or Kilvi,”
“B-but the trade route,”
“I don’t care, now if you will excuse me, I will be running late for a meeting.” Reli, the tall man, put his left hand in front of Enar, stopping her from when she was going, and Ketch blocked her right side, making her cornered.
Like the disgusting pigs they were, they began to lick their lips, acting like higher ranking nobles, like royalty, and even they didn’t work in such a foul manner. Tifian was about to call the guards, resisting the urge to kill them herself with [Chaos Row]. She was about to snap when Reli was about to kiss her before they both heard someone gasping for air.
Ketch was purple in the face as if he was being strangled, but no one was behind or around him. Looking closer, Tifian saw that some string from his collar had changed and was wrapping around his neck before he fell on the floor unconscious, which revealed who was behind him as a further distance. Harrian, looking as usual as ever, as he walked up towards the two, tipping his top hat.
“Pardon me, but I believed the princess was about to be late for something,” Last time Tifian saw Harrian, he was a [Slime], but now looked like nothing had happened.
“Ah, Harrian, great to see you again, how are you?” Tifian responded, with a smile on her face, seeing this as an escape.
“Quite well, do you need any help?”
“NO!! She doesn’t, she...” Reli took a deep breath “My brother and I was just chatting to Tifian, talking about trade ruts like the nobles we are,” Reli replied to Harrian in a hostile tone, not knowing who he was talking t

“Interesting way of saying that you were starting your assault,”
“WHAT!!!! WHY WOULD YOU EXPECT THAT?!”
“Oh please, the amount of pheromones your emitting is intoxicating,” Harrian plugged his nose “I would think a pig would fall head over heels if she, or he smelt this,”
“DID YOU JUST CALL ME A PIG!”
“No, I’m just saying one would enjoy your company,”
“YOU BASTARD!!” Reli took his left hand off of the wall and tried to hit Harrian, and it was a clean hit to the face.
They all heard the punch, a clean smack in the face, but it was the opposite of what Reli wanted, he felt the pain, wailing like a crazy person, while Harrian felt fine.
“That’s not a punch,” Harrian then punched Reli, knocking him out, “That was a punch, now [Scan Analyze],” A [Status Board] appeared, and Harrian read through the small amount of information.
“What [Level] was he?” Tifian asked.
“[Level 80], is he still a [Human]?”
“Probably, I was about to come to see you,”
“Well now I am here, shall we?” Harrian held out his right hand, and Tifian accepted.
The two of them walked through the gardens which were near, after about ten minutes of walking. It was before Tifian was smelling some white lilies that she said something that intrigued Harrian.
“Harrian, there was something I need to tell you,”
“Alright, tell me,”
“My father has decided to send you to another country,” Harrian was mildly shocked, he was silent for a moment.
“Why?”
“His old friend, King Oberon, has asked you and your friends to come and visit him, you’ll be leaving tomorrow morning.” Harrian’s face had become a regret since he had wanted to spend more time with Tifian.
The princess saw the regret in Harrian’s eyes, so she plucked one of the white Lilies and placed it in his hair, smiling. Harrian had a little chuckle and hugged her, squeezing her tight. Both of their [Magical Eyes] began to glow brightly.
But not everything was happy with the [Heroes Party], both Atogin and Nicko were happily sparring with each other, the problem was Enar. The [Hero], a title that no one could against, except for a few, even her [Status] remained a mystery.
The church of the pure deities, an old religion that prayed to almost all the known [Gods], the problem was that of the five highest. The church’s five major [Gods] that they put up higher than even ‘the creator’, that was the problem.

Purity, Light, Water, Life and Being, all believing that the first, the purer of hearts would become the best [Heroes], like many before Enar. Her [Seven Deadly Sins], her [Taboo Skill] which had awakened through her training to become a woman of the church was found out.
A man named Harrien had reported it, the church believing the forsaken adventurer since he had a rare [Item], known as [Item Box]. He had told them that Enar’s tattoos which the Pope, the leader of the church, had inscribed on her himself were able to change.
The news didn’t reach the Pope, only the head priest, a senile older man, although by not much, as his mind still made hefty deals in the country. He held a staff, similar to Enar’s, although much more significant, his robes draped with the circular symbol. It was the first [Hero’s] weapon, a chakram since it resembled the start of the kingdom of Kilvi.
“You wretched fool! Using the sins of the past, ones that have corrupted many, and you use it like it is a children’s toy!” The priest was lashing out at Enar.
“But head priest, I had no choice at the time, and that information is partially false,” Enar explained.
“I don’t care! You had gained a [Taboo Skill], trained in secret, and the sacred tattoos, blessed by the five [Gods] themselves, and you change them!”
“Please just believe me, it was a last resort,”
“For what! That [Mage], he’s the one that defeated the best of that [Dungeon], not you,”
“Before then, if it wasn’t for me, we all would’ve died,”
“Pathetic, even when you are grovelling, you are hopeless.”
The priest began to walk away, from a kneeling Enar. He had trained Enar, showing her compassion, only to snap at something that wasn’t true. Harrien had said that her body was cloaked in violet or blue colour, from top to bottom, looking as though she was a [Demon], herself.
She got up, with a new look in her eyes, the eyes filled with no regret. She took out her staff, and quietly ran up to the priest, screaming. He looked at her, as he was stabbed with the circle, the holy symbol of the country. During that time, Enar was looking down, muttering a [Spell].
“[Seven Deadly Sins: Envy: Stage Four curse: Eradication of lies].” The head priest’s veins glowed emerald for a moment before Enar removed the staff and looked down on him. Looking at the wound, it disappeared, leaving no scar as if though it never happened.
“Were those lies? That the man told me?”
“Indeed, as you now know the truth,”
“Thank you [Hero], from saving us from... Envy.” The priest took out a small blade that he had on him for protection and slit his own throat. Blood spurted onto the ground, Enar moved away from the priest three steps back, so none got on her.
Throughout the church, the people who believed the lie, each killed themselves, slowly as Enar commanded them after the Head priest died. Some of them were holding a festival and cut out their hearts.
One by one, holy men fell for believing the lie, all until the source was left. Harrien was having a beer at a pub, near the city borders, enjoying it on his own. His party had left him, leaving him alone again. He looked into a new jug which was already half empty and noticed something in it.
Dark figures were reflecting off the liquid, and he looked behind him, only for that to reveal that no one was present. He did that three more times before staring into the beer, only to have a green hand stretch out and grab his throat.
They were the souls trapped by a curse, all chanting the same thing.
“Envy of others is a sin, but making others green with envy, is an even greater sin.” Harrien had realized what was happening.
The hand then snapped his neck, making him fall on the floor, lying motionless. The bartender, looking at him, poked him with a broom, before screaming. Enar felt the scream, and she yelled for help.
Everyone knew that the head priest’s day would end, and no one would suspect Enar of the death they would be glad, as many people wanted a new younger head priest.
The seven sins; Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride, were dangerous and evil, and Enar, a being of a holy persona, was in between both sides of good and evil. That day, she became even more dangerous, as she fainted while standing next to the head priest’s corpse.
The defeat of Marchosias wasn’t the start of the adventure of the [Heroes Party], it started today, from the death of the head priest.
