In the first age, before castles and countries were even though off, the world was ruled by power. And that power was held within [Dragons], as they ruled for millenia over the lands. Fighting by themselves, only for themselves causing rampage across the land.
Creating rivers, mountains, forests, infernos, clouds and many more landscapes, all were erected by the [Dragons] of old. But one day, in a battle between twelve [Dragons], all with different [Affinities] they all heard a clapping.
Turning towards the sky, even higher than the one who were fighting there, they saw ‘The Creator’, slowly clapping descended down towards all of them. He told the [Dragons] that they are the most powerful users with their respected element.
The creator told them that they should stop fighting, as new races would enter the fray, which would one one day rise up and try to end. They would either make peace with the [Dragons], or hunt them for any of them that would attack their civilizations.
The beasts laugh as they did, before ‘The Creator’ repeated itself, in a more serious tone. The [Dragons] took this more as an order not just as a suggestion.
“Listen here, we’ve been here for eons, and none of us are budging an inch!” Said the [Dragon] that controlled earth.
“We will not be tempered so easily, like you think we will,” Said the dragon of air.
“Very well, now who wants to be made an example of?”
Jörmungandr jumped off from the land and opened its jaws about the eat ‘The Creator’. The next thing it knew that it was in a forest, with threes that were high above. Trying to get up, roots had entangled the serpent, growing over him.
It took him three tugs to finally break free, and was angered. It slithered through the forest which would soon be known as Grandage and headed in a single direction until it hit something. It noticed this and tried to hit it again, a massive green ripple appeared from where Jörmungandr hit it.
Large letters appeared in front of the snake, which he read.
[You are not allowed to leave this area]
Angered, Jörmungandr rampaged through the perimeter of Grandage, eating trees and beats to satisfy its appetite. After it’s rampage, Jörmungandr went into a deep sleep, and scoured Grandage much slower.
It’s size was smaller, probably a tenth of what he once was, and despite how much he ate, he would not grow larger. Only his power would grow, but even then, they were not where they once were. Going into a depressed state, Jörmungandr killed a glowing elk, which body turned into a seed.

It was the first time Jörmungandr had experienced this, but due to his state, he didn’t eat it, instead, he decided to plant it. I lowered the land near the middle of a forest and with help from the roots which he could control, he dug a small hole and planted it.
The next thing the beast did was go to a large sprig and sipped a small amount of water, pouring it slowly on the area. He blessed the land with fertility, the first time Jörmungandr did that and he rested.
He fell into a slumber not knowing how long, and was awakened when he was touched. Two beings, later to be known as [Elves] had rubbed Jörmungandr chin. Opening his eyes, and looking down on the ants, he spoke.
“Why do you harm my slumber?” He whispered, only causing a large gale.
“Terribly sorry, but my wife's pregnant and about to give birth, there are [Monsters] all around there woods, so terribly sorry but could you watch over us while she gives birth?”
Jörmungandr nodded. “I will allow it, you beings wish me no harm but just to oversee your infants birth,”
A few hours later a small healthy boy was born, with light blue hair, the same colour as the elk that turned into that seed. The family decided to stay a bit longer, so long that Jörmungandr decided to learn their names.
The husband was called Lesh, the wife was called Wendy, and their son they decided to name after him, Gand. The three of them decided to stay around Jörmungandr a little longer, so long that they made a hut able to withstand his normal talking.
In fact, bit by bit, over five years, Jörmungandrs size grew smaller, which he kept on until today. He watched Gandr grow up, and by the time he reached eighteen years old. There, Jormungandr finally moved, revealing what he was hiding in the middle.
A young tree, glowing blue still like Gandr’s hair stood there, only a few metres high, so the small family relocated next to the tree, not daring to touch it. In a few decades, more and more people, wishing to build a new place to call home.
Under the protective eye of Jörmungandr, it flourished into what it is known today, Jörmun. He allowed the [Elfs] and [Demihumans] to create whatever they want, all except harm the tree in the middle.
Since the people of Jörmun grew slowly, they made sure to care for the tree and create paths for the massive serpent to fo through, everything was happy. In this small portion of life, Jörmungandr had felt more emotions that any other time, no war, no bloodshed, just growing bonds.

One of those emotions was grief, when the father of the original family, Lesh, passed after a few hundred years. That day, Jörmungandr left the town and mourned on a cliff far away and high above, so high that winter was always there.
Gandr followed Jörmungandr and laid on it’s coiled lap, looking up on it and soothing it. Gandr looked like a man in his thirties at that point, and so Jörmungandr began to speak to the [Elf] who had become a [Fairy].
“I’ve known you father for all your life, in fact, you were the reason why the little town around the tree is there,”
“I know,” Gandr looked down. “And I’m grateful, these times, the stories, it’s been what, a hundred years?”
“It has, and it’s sad,”
“Why?”
“Your father, your mother, they told me stories from outside the forest, places where I can’t reach, and now one has left this plane,” Jörmungandr shedded some tears, Gandr laid down on Jörmungandr and looked up at the stars.
“You see Jörmungandr, us [Elves] believe that when we die, we go to the stars and watch over everyone at night, and when you wish upon a shooting star, it’s your ancestors wishing for you instead,”
Jörmungandr nodded. “It’s beautiful, that story, thanks Gandr, the both of us have known each other since our birth,”
“But your maybe millions of years old, how could we have known each other since then?”
“I guess you could say I was reborn when you were born, before I met Lesh and Wendy, I was a tyrant of destruction, but that,” Carefully, Jörmungandr got his tail and nudged the [Fairy]. “Time, when you were born, it changed me, since it was the first time I saw new life,”
“Yeah, let's get back home,” Bright blue wings appeared on Gandr’s back and the two of them made their way back to Jörmun.
There they saw all the people around the bright blue tree, with Jörmungandr asking what was happening. Wendy stepped forward with tears in her eyes and told Jörmungandr what is happening.
“I know no one was supposed to harm or even touch the tree, but his dying breath said that he wanted to lay underneath the tree, so I did and this happened,”
Lesh’s body was barely alive, slowing glowing bluer, and looking at everyone. Gandr rushed towards his flowing father's side, Lesh told him that his son would go one without him, finally talking to Jörmungandr.
“Jörmungandr, my oldest friend,” Lesh smiled.
“It’s good to see you, friend,” Jörmungandr nodded.
“Ha, i’m sorry, I lived a peaceful life here, and not once did I touch this tree that I have gone by so many times, and I just wanted to lay here when I was dead before going amongst the stars,”
“I see, and I’m not mad, I was bored and planted this seed seeing what it would do, and I being protective, it’s fine laying beside it as you last dying wish,”
“And I have to say, if you said no, eaten us, killed us or anything else, I wouldn’t have the last of my life that I lived,”
“It’s alright,” Jörmungandr’s eyes began to be glazed with tears.
“Thank you Jörmungandr, for this life you’ve given me and everyone else,”
“N-no, I should thank you, f-for staying around, a-and bringing me so many tales, laughter, everything I’ve known for a hundred years,”
“So Jörmungandr, let me ask one more thing,”
“Yes?”
“Let me rub your chin like the way I did the first time I met you,”
Jörmungandr nodded, lowering his head towards Lesh’s fragile fingers. He rubbed Jörmungandr’s chin until parts of his arm turned into flakes and began to encircle the tree. He stopped and looked at his hands, laughing.
“Thank you Jörmungandr, for this time on this earth with you, I am so… happy,”
Lesh’s body then rapidly turned into petals and circled the tree, before it slowly absorbed the petals and the tree glowed a bright light. As the light faded, the tree had grown a little larger than it once was.
Jörmungandr cried, as everyone around him began to usher him. The serpent slithered off again, not to be seen until a day later, he wanted some alone time. Gandr created the royal family for Jörmun, and the tree grew bigger through many years until what it is today.
And now, a [Dragon-Kin] has announced that it wishes to face him in a [Dragon Duel].
“And why should I agree, you’re too weak to do anything against me?” Jörmungandr asked.
“That is true, but those words have not been uttered in so long have they?”
“HA! You make a good point, very well, I shall hold back, let’s see if you can beat my most weakened state,”
“I will try, and if I can, allow us entry into the palace,”
“Very well, let’s begin,”
Nicko jumped high in the air, his fist clenched and was ready to lose his life so that his comrades would defeat Beelzebub and restore peace to Grandage.
