《The Upgrade System》30: Beast Partner

Eric got out of his court yard and went down the peak. He looked at the heaven stair, to find his disciple but was shocked the moment he saw where they were at.
They were currently at 300 steps, which meant that their talent has been improved to ultra-rare. Eric just went and stood at the bottom of the stair and said to them through his Consciousness,
"you guys can come down now"
Hearing Eric's words, they started to run down the heaven stairs. When they reached him, he told them that he will be going out and they needed to cultivate for now.
Before leaving Eric bought a cultivation from the Upgrade system and gave it to them. The technique helped them cultivate 2 times faster than normal and was an Ultra rare rank Cultivation Technique.
Giving the technique to them he told them that they could go and cultivate in the rooms next to the top of the peak.
After giving them, their instruction Eric disappeared and reappeared in the forest he last was in.
Eric wanted to go and pick His wife and bring her to the sect when he sensed something was wrong in the forest. He could sense a transcendent being at the first Minor stage of transcendent being. He decided to pin point the location, after he found the location of the person, he reappeared right in front of the transcendent. When he reappeared he saw a dragon looking beast?
Eric looked at the beast and asked
"How did you appear here?"
The beast looked at Eric as he could not sense his power and know he this person was his benefiter.
When Eric killed every single monster in the core he didn't pick even one of the monster and left them there as that would take his time away, but when Eric killed his last monster near the inner area a monster saw him kill it and not take away its corps. The monster was exactly this monster that was now a transcendent being, the only reason he was a transcendent being was because he consumed every monster Eric had left behind after Eric had killed them.

This monster had a special bloodline that allowed him to consume other monster and make his own cultivation progress but as he was to weak he couldn't fight any monster from the core, but even if he wanted to waste his time and fight the monster from the inner area, he wouldn't improve that much. He wouldn't improve if he consumed anything at his own level or lower, but the heaven had smiled at him and let somebody else do all the work for him.
Now that he saw the person that killed all the core monsters for him he was sure, if he became under this guy's hand he would become unimaginably strong.
Before he could answer Eric's question he said
"Please take me as your beast partner"
Eric was surprised as this dragon looking beast ignored his question and jumped into a whole other subject.
Eric looked at the beast and asked it
"Give me 2 reasons why I should take you as a beast partner"
The beast looked at Eric and was flying in the seven heavens and was thinking that his future was already sitting to be invincible
"2 reason you should pick me as your beast partner is, one I'm a divine beast that would only appear in millions of years, second my blood line can grow as much as you want if you give me a monster strong than me to eat".
Eric was ready to reject this beast and walk away from here, but he thought he should accept this guy as his beast partner and accept him as a sect member.
Eric looked at him than said
"Okay, I'll accept you as a beast partner"
After accepting him he dropped a drop of his blood in the beast mouths and they made the beast contract. When the drop of blood was observed the beast was upgraded from Ultra-rare to legendary.

When the beast felt the change in himself he was shocked and now his view of his master was even more powerful than it was a few seconds ago.
After dropping his blood in the mouths of the beast he asked for his name,
"What's your name"
The beast looked at Eric and said
"xiāo fèi, master"
{The name is translation of consume to Chinese}
Hearing his name Eric thought that his name described his blood line perfectly
After that he gave the beast a wrist band of the sect, which he used as a ring and putted on his index finger. When he putted on the wrist band on, Eric transported him to the sect and showed him around the sect while introducing to the 2-other sect member.
Eric told him the basics of the sect, then transported himself outside so, he could go and get his wife. Slowly eric reappeared in the same spot he and Xiao transported themselves to the sect. Without wasting anymore time here eric started to run towards where his house is.
Now with Eric's power he did not have to waste his time looking for a map as his consciousness could cover the whole continent without a problem. The moment he located his house he reappeared there.
He knocked on the door and entered the room, the moment he entered he was hugged by Lucy.
As Lucy was hugging him she let go of him and started to kiss him on the lips. The kiss was very long but after they finished Lucy said
"I missed you so much"
Eric looked at her than said "you don't have to worry about that anymore".
Lucy took Eric's hand and lead him towards where the table of food was.
Eric already knew that she he had made food for him so he didn't eat anything after he cultivated for 1 month.
As they were eating, Eric told about his adventure and what he experienced in the last 2 months he was gone but the main thing Lucy wanted to know was how did he became so handsome and the only thing he could say was because 'he broke through lots of stages'.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
