《Sun Collector》Chapter #16 Myhthic

"So everything else from here on is mine because I succeeded?"
I knew that was a super valuable ring, but my enemies were human.
"Normally people fail 9 out of 10 times when making a ring, I suspect you only succeeded because of the mythic crafting ring in your possession. But you're the best suited to use it."
Cannon man said that all the rest of the things I crafted were mine.
I was going to make Q an ability ring that suited her best. Id already thought about how I wanted to build her abilities.
I put in the wing of a thousand-year-old heart beast.
I poured in my mana again and thought about creating pressurized air.
After the thousand had been poured in I opened the top of the chest and pulled out a ring that had a hawk soaring through the endless sky.
"You succeeded again? You're making all the crafters in this village look like mess arounds."
I laughed and said "It actually took me 2 months of training and my entire family fortune to reach this level of success. And I can only make two more at this rate."
His eyes softened after hearing how I had prepared. He must have thought I was just generating these on the spot.
"Young man the way to tell the grade of a ring is the image on it. If it's moving then its a legendary ring. You should let me hold onto and test out that ring for you."
It's not like I had a choice plus cannon man was supposed to be a protector of humanity or something so it should be fine.
I handed him the ring and went back to crafting.
I put the scales of a thousand year old desert lizard into the chest and thought about sunscreen as hard as I could. As I poured my mana into the chest.

I reached in and pulled out another ring it had the image of a lizard sunbathing.
" Haha perfect now I have sunscreen," I said while I twirled the ring.
As I turned around expecting to see the old man looking at me in praise again. I felt a searing sensation of pain across my face.
"By god you are the most ignorant kid I've ever met you used your chance at a legendary ring to make sunscreen. Do you even know what legendary rings are capable of when you cultivate to a high enough level?"
So that's why he had slapped me. Ya, I knew a powerful cultivator with a legendary ring could defy the laws of the universe for a short period of time.
But I wanted to ignore the laws of the universe passively, and if my guess was right that ring didn't take mana to use so it was perfect for me.
"You can't have this ring no matter what," I told him with a smug smile.
He facepalmed and exclaimed precisely "that's a waste of a ring you do know that will take up a slot and your first slot is what people typically scale all of there abilities off of."
I guess I was gonna become the legendary sunscreen man because I didn't want to get skin cancer.
Of course, I didn't say that out loud, it was time to make my final masterpiece for this I had selected the tail of a snow panther that was two thousand years old. It was one of the oldest pieces in the safe.
"I don't care how much of a genius you are if you make something dumb with that ill throw you out of the outpost myself. Grand elder was only able to find that through risking his life."

Whatever I thought too myself as I casually tossed it into the chest.
This time I made a palm striking gesture to touch the chest and pretended like I was working hard on crafting. I poured out all of my remaining mana into the chest while thinking about being able to control one's abilities like the snow leopard used its tail to control its body.
I didn't open the chest this time instead I turned around and asked cannon man in a level tone.
"I trust senior can take care of this ring until the time that I need it"
He rushed over and opened the chest inside was a ring that was beautiful.
It showed a snow leopard bouncing between rocks with the utmost grace.
"Another legendary ring haha have I gone mad? This one isn't useless this crafting session can be considered the biggest success in our outposts history"
I was stunned I had just saved up my potential for this moment was it really that great?
I had to ask "How many legendary rings are in this fortress?"
He turned around and addressed me "There are two and neither of them was crafted in fact in both of them were found in these ruins and were not crafted. The mythic ring that you using right now was made at the expense of a person's life. Only mythic rings have ever been crafted here.

Distant Leaps to Circinus
A dark fantasy story that takes place on a reborn Earth. "With all the planets in the universe, it just had to be this one." Not many thoughts came to mind when scientists said they could provide the Earth with nearly infinite power. Humans could only think about the future, after all: they could travel to the farthest reaches of space, never worry about their electric bills again, and give rise to new and innovative technologies. With such good outcomes on the horizon, there was no way humanity would sit idle; instead, they studied perhaps the most powerful entity in the entire Milky Way. It seemed that, after its appearance decades ago, the strange and unmoving black sphere was something of a godsend. There will always be a reason for these things. With one touch, our very reality was but a grain of sand in an hourglass. In an instant, the Earth was gone - replaced by something… different. More than a century later, Earth’s remains have reformed into a completely different beast - a planet both alive and dead at the same time. Physics that were once understood no longer made sense, giant land masses floated in the sky, and billions of people fought for their very survival. Work, sleep, and play were no more; it was time for the world, Circinus, to reign. The birth of Circinus could only be the beginning. The powerful yet ever-elusive black sphere seemed to watch the world from afar - casting light for those below, but never truly emitting light from itself. What does it all mean for the children of Circinus - children born with eyes that seemed to stare into God’s heart?

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
