《The Putrid Assassin (Complete)》Chapter #16

Oh well, it was a long shot anyway I thought to myself. Once my wound was bandaged i propped myself up against the tombstone and smiled and spoke
"My life cant be considered too bad. At least I'm alive and have a friend that cares about me"
She reached out and put her slender arm on my shoulder and said
"Go home and take the night off if you focus on recovering we should still be able to venture into the forest tommorow"
"Alright I guess I'll see you then" as I stumbled off down the path
Its times like this when a man feels the most alone I thought to myself as I walked back to my room. I sat on my bed and redid my bandage and fell dead asleep.
The next day when I got up I checked my injury and it had healed. This was the benefit of being a cultivator normal injuries that didn't have quix instilled in them would almost always heal within a week.
Even if I didn't get revenge my life could be considered to have significantly improved. I thought to myself.
I stopped by the market and bought a breakfast bag. With my camping gear on my back, I walked up the trail towards our meeting point. The only thing that was different is she was wearing a green camouflaged pull over and matching jeans.
'Noona how is it possible you always get here before me?"
"This is basically where I live anyway.
So then are you ready to go?” she said to me”
"I've been ready for the past hour” I responded
“So you look forward to camping with me so much?” I said just to see her response
“We're going to have to sleep in one tent because you are so weak and can't defend yourself well deep in the forest,” she said

I had not really thought about this I just assumed that would be sleeping in separate tents. Apparently the Beast forest was more dangerous than I had anticipated. Or maybe we are just going to a more dangerous area.
“I got everything we need,” I said as I pointed towards my backpack
“All right if you're so ready to go let's head out,” she said as she turned around and started walking down the trail towards my post. It was kind of weird to see her walk down the trail I walked every night. When we got to the edge of the forest she hesitated to walk in.
“now you have to promise me to do exactly what I say,” she said in a very serious tone of voice.
Don't I always do what you say anyway?” I spoke with a shake of my head. With her around we didn't even avoid the Snake Forest when I questioned her why she simply replied with “there is no need to with me here”
But I thought you only had one quix plate." I said
" But mine is a combination of three. It's not really one bit most people think it is. But to anyone that's even the least bit knowledgeable, they would see that it is way thicker than normal.
On our way to get the poison Vine, we skirted around the Hidden Valley that I had passed earlier. Noona stopped and stared at it as if she was recalling a memory. But I dare not ask seeing as she said that all her friends were dead. The next area we entered the rocky region with little to no plant life I wanted to ask what kind of area was but I figured not to make any noise. There were huge boulders lying everywhere and we had to hop in between the boulders. Once we got to the middle of the Boulder Field there was a natural overhang.

" We will stay the night here," she said
" But why we've only been walking for three-fourths of a day." I responded
" Because I've been through this area before and this is the safest place to make a camp. If night falls on us why were any further in the forest there is no way we'll make it out alive." She said
What a great reason I thought to myself. Why did I even ask I questioned myself
" Come help me pitch the tent,” she said to me
I walked over and helped her set up the tent. Even though it was still daylight she went into the tent and left the tent flap open. I sat outside for a good hour just as the sun was setting I went into the tent. For the night the only bedding to keep us warm was a large blanket. I laid under the blanket with her. I slowly reach my arm around her only to hear sniffling sounds.
