《Democracy in Cultivation World》3 - Forced to adapt
Advertisement
He was ready, he intended to make himself at home, understand the boy's body skills set and states. As if knowing, whatever that mother f*** is, it wasn't intending on giving him the chance, he showed up at the right time not even letting him feed properly. Majid throw all the food he gathered, as he runs for his life, he runs for a long time but the thing was keeping up with him. He couldn't help steal some glances back to figure out what exactly he's dealing with, but the thing kept moving between the bushes, it hid as soon as it shows. He could only make out its size and color, it was a small orange thing, a fox comes to mind but he wasn't sure but that helped his heart remain in his chest.
He runs jumping between trees and rocks, crossed a small water stream, and many clearings. Fortunately, this new body of his wasn't easily exhausted. After running for some time he couldn't hear his pursuer anymore, he stopped and looked back not letting his guard down.
'Ufff, fortunately, this bastard isn't persistent!'
'Doesn't that small mother f*** look down on me! taking me for prey, you just wait!'
'I almost died under the ground, now a weak beast his hunting my ass'
'Just how low can I go! no, I can't let this go on'
His eyes shined with determination, he has to survive in the forest, a place for the survival of the fittest. Even though his body potential could place him high, he was in the lower food chain right now. Putting the possibility of being hunted down by his clan aside, even a small beast dare to look down on him. It would have even worse if he met another one in his escape, he should adapt fast, no even faster to this environment.
What can he do! thinking things through, he concluded that avoiding fights is the way, at least dangerous ones. For that, he needs to focus on sharpening his senses, and any related technique, honing some stealth techniques goes along as the topmost priority. If he was found then escaping techniques follow in priority, this can save him 9 out 10 times than bidding on fighting it out. Ignoring the possibilities of the power difference, facing more than one enemy. It became evident how important and practical to avoid a fight in the first place. Let's not forget that these aspects would increase his fighting power as well. Either taking the advantage by ambushing or being faster is of utmost importance in fights. If everything fails he needs to be able to fight, and trump card to surprise his enemy. After he set his priorities straight he finally was ready to rub the itch he had, the moment he got out of that hole. Though his situation was gloomy and desperate, excitement somehow finds its way many times to his heart.
'Now let's see what we got!' he rubbed his hands against each other, his tongue licked his upper lip.

He looked for an appropriate place to train, he found a clearing surrounded by trees and bushes, he was complicated. Was it the right choice! after all, he would be easily ambushed from behind these bushes, letting himself in the open didn't sit well with him as well, so he goes with it.
He started to browse throw the memories collecting the pieces together. Muscles' memories remained the same, he just needed to collect the information, order and relate them to each other. It was like a game that you played before, but you lost your edge on it as time flies by, you would need some time to adapt again. But not much time, it was only a matter of exploration for him. He tried basic moves one after another, his enhanced body made acrobatic moves, easy like it was some simple warm-ups.
He stopped himself from being absorbed, he looked for the more urgent matter. This is a world of cultivation, letting Qi in the corner is just like letting gun rust in the corner. He channeled the Qi through his meridians to his legs, he dealt before with Qi when he meditated to recover, it didn't take him long to get the hang of it. He bent forward before his body shot like fish in water, he jumped between the trees and the ground, it was like he has some springs under his legs. He got carried away as excitement overwhelmed him, he jumped high stepping on a branch, kicking hard from it he shot high into the sky he even spread his wings. Soon he started to flail, the hight was more than he expected, before landing 30 meters ahead, his legs didn't feel any stress from supporting the shock.
'This... this...' his heart boomed faster than ever.
'Holy! Moly! Shit!, even though I can't see myself'
'I can feel the wind brushing hard on my skin'
'Calm yourself bro, this is a dangerous place'
He took some breaths, his heart rate going back to normal. He looked around before he returned to the clearing. He continued to train his qi channeling, and adapting to his body, stopping every now and then to check the situation.
He amused at the possibilities of his new body, all kinds of somersaults were easy for him, flips, twists, and flashy kicks, he even runs in the walls high, and sideways. It was far more satisfying than anything he ever experienced on earth. He failed many times due to hesitation, but it didn't hurt so much hitting the ground, he gets bolder and bolder as time goes.
"body synchronization complete, now let's try the real deal, shall we! hehe''
Used to his new body, he wanted to try the techniques, at the moment, he was in complete disregard of his situation, a stupid giggle never leaving his mouth. The movement techniques in this world followed a special system. Each one has a geometric symbol, an inspiration, and levels. The Fire Lizard Hexagram steps the boy train in, is a self-explanatory technique, it has three levels. Mastering the first level, the boy studied the second level in preparation to start his training when he returns.

He envisioned a triangle surrounded by a circle representing the evading space, the triangle surrounded another circle where he could step to attack his enemy. First, he bent over, Qi channeled through his legs before it let out a little fire from his foot pushing him forward, his body emitting heat, waved freely through the excited hot air. Stepping in the inner circle before waving back to another triangle edge, he waved to the outer circle trying out various steps and poses, and so on. Steam rose as he exerted his body, his skin red glittering with sweet, he stopped his lungs gasping for air. He sat in a corner letting his body recover. Before his excitement died down, the indicators shot up again.
'Yeah! let's prepare for the next course for the meantime!'
Memories triggered, related knowledge about the host's main fighting technique gathered piece after piece.
'How unfortunate, if only they left my saber behind,' he was indignant, he always fantasized about using a saber. And it just so happen that the boys use it as his main weapon. Nothing surprising though, the sword and saber are just that popular. But now he can't use it, it was like the first time you got a Game Console, but your parents gave you another surprise. You can't play yet, you have to wait for the ban to be lifted on the weekends.
'they are afraid of nothing now, that saber isn't a common one it seems!'
The boy got the unique saber as a special gift from his father he mastered some level of the saber technique. Letting that aside, he draws his focus back at the task at hand. Scrambling through his memories resumed, looking for another fighting styles the boy trained. A fist technique information started gathering, the fire snake fist.
'Hallelujah!'
He was so excited, the boy trained in a fist technique before he started his way in the saber. It wasn't anything special in the clan's top techniques. But like the movement technique, they were a high-level earth technique, only the core disciple of the clan could train in them. It relies on confusing movements of the hand and the body, to deal unpredictable fire attacks. Using the fingers to pierce the enemy weakness, the first to break the bones. He envisioned the triangle and circles, he starts flowing through them again, whenever his body waved to the inner circle, punches waved gradually turned into shadows, reverberating, pressing the air visible, trusts pierced the air hissing like a snake. The lizard's steps and snake's bites worked like magic with each other.
'I won't die a meaninglessly for a weak bastard now hehe'
For the first time in this world the sense of security overwhelmed him, his confidence made him so immersed in his training. It wasn't training for him, it's been a long time since he trained his body, let alone with this new body he felt alive. Like a fish throwing back into the water at its last breaths.
His stomach resounded, he wasn't able to take care of it appropriately before he was interrupted by the foxy thing. So he used this chance to scout around the area while looking at something edible. He didn't bother to gather more that he need like before, he returned to the clearing soon after.
Satiating his animalistic needs, he could finally make some human-like thinking. Only then the reality of the whole situation began to sink in, his caged emotions creeped out, he was alone now, in this foreign cold world, it was his dream, more impossible than any of his dreams. But now it became a reality. He couldn't stop himself, not being a sentimental kind of guy didn't stop him from feeling deep melancholy, he would never be able to see his family again. What was even sadder, he won't go back even if he could. On the other hand, the only family he has left here, the family he could rely on, that could help him elevate this sense of fear and alienation is after his life.
'heh heh heh' laughing or coughing, one can't be sure, his eyes weren't smiling though, they were moist, no tear dropped though.
At least I don't have any weaknesses, I can't be threatened, even if I died, I don't have anyone to consider anymore, I could wreak havoc!'
Shadows elongated, the yellow rays of the sun kept changing, gradually turning into orange, losing its brilliance and warmth along the way. Jolted out of his sadness, Majid noticed these changes.
'Crap! I'm doomed, how can I forget that' sweat gathered on his forehead, 'Where the hell am I gonna spend the night!'
--------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, 5 guys stopped before a clearing where a hole was in the middle, surrounding the clearing, were bushes and shrubs. One of the group was wearing a blue robe, it was Lee Xugao. Behind him were two boys in their twenties wearing white robes of the Fire Snake Clan, but they weren't the guys at the room before. Instead, those guys were in black garbs, their bodies looked strong in the presence of the others. One of them taller by a head to the tallest among the present, only his fellow looked on par beside him with a scar over his left eye.
"What happened here!" Lee Xugao rashed to the open hole, confusion wrote all over his face, the scar-faced man closed on the hole, he bends over and took a closer look. he looked intently at the hole and around the clearing before he turned his face to his tall fellow.
"What do you think! Loa Bo"
"It looks like a beast dugs the body out, but... I don't feel its right" Loa Bo eyes were absentminded.
"What do you mean?" the scar-faced face smirked, he looked back at the clearing.
"I don't know Lao Ji, it's just, it didn't feel right!"

Yin-Yang
Mages in North America seem to have it all – typically from well-off families, and able to manipulate their environment in ways most of the world would never believe. They don’t even have to bother with the mundane details of life like housework, thanks to their sensitives, who also make a useful source for extra magical energy. After all, sensitives have no use for it themselves, and if mages weren’t meant to make use of it, then the sensitives would obviously have some way to prevent that. That a mage can transform a sensitive physically, with no restrictions beyond overall mass and basic biological viability, whereas magic tends not to work directly on any other living thing, is only further proof. And look at the way they live on their own, barely a step above animals. It’s better for them to belong to a mage. Sensitives in North America live on the edge of society and survival – typically so paranoid they avoid hospitals and anything else that could lead to being tracked, many of them with little or no education and no legal identity or existence. Mages exist, and mages want sensitives for some reason, but no one ever comes back to explain what that reason is. Waiting every day for the hunters to notice them doesn’t lead to much motivation or hope for the future. And once they’re captured, they’re the property of someone with a terrifying amount of power over them. Anything is better than capture. Mages are born to be the masters, and sensitives are born victims. Or are they? Jax’s life is turned upside-down when he’s caught by the hunters and sold to a mage. Andreas is still mourning for his previous sensitive, though, unconsciously creating a difficult standard for Jax to live up to, all the more so while still struggling to come to terms with this new reality as Andreas’ sensitive. A runaway sensitive isn’t what Van expects at the mental health centre. Is this a hunter trap, set for him and the rest of the Donovan family by the hunters? The hunters would, after all, love to see them cross the line openly and finally do something they can be charged with. Either way, Miranda’s genuinely in trouble, and he can’t just abandon her to it. Snatching a sensitive out from under the hunters and hiding her is odd behaviour for a mage – but then, Catherine is an odd mage, living in disgrace in the old servants’ quarters of her grandmother’s house, responsible for cooking and housework. Lila owes Catherine her freedom; is there a way to help Catherine achieve her own, and at what price? Tension is building between traditionally-minded mages and those advocating change, and something has to break. *** Yin-Yang includes a small amount of profanity and no graphic sex or on-screen physical violence. However, sex and gender roles and relationships within the mage/sensitive subculture are non-traditional in mainstream North American terms. The key criterion in a primary relationship is not relative sex or gender, but the pairing of mage and sensitive; given the transformation of sensitives by their mages, physical sex is non-absolute for a sensitive, and gender identity can vary as in anyone else. *** *** The way mages treat sensitives is extremely varied and, in some cases is outright abusive. The struggle against that is pretty much the point of the book. It is NOT grimdark or misery-porn! However, if you will be triggered by this, please, don't read Yin-Yang! *** Complete stand-alone novel, 153K words! Also available on Scribble Hub and as a free ebook.

It is supposed to be relatively relaxed for the most part. Any constructive criticism is welcome. My updates will be slower than a snail and my chapters are relatively short so deal with it please and don't murder me. Romance should come in later. Thank you~
