《Dread Necromancer Of Glyphs》Prologue: One body, Three souls

On the world that was named Iodeghar by it's inhabitants, a relatively large hidden off cave that was looking more like the palace of an emperor than that of a cavedweller, was located. Inside the cave, numerous enslaved demons of all age and sizes were guarding the place.
Inside one of the few rooms, a masked mage was sitting before a table on which two basins of water laid. Behind the mage was a double chained teleportation circle.
It allowed the caster to teleport to one specified place, then to another and then back to where the circle was located.
The reflection of the water inside the basins depicted two scene.
One was deep in a jungle inside the abyss depicts a scene of one demon hunting another. A very normal occurance in the realm, which represented the words "malice" and "chaos" perfectly. The one who hunts his fellow demon is a humanoid with scales, a frog head and muscular arms, a rekroa demon. The hunted demon is a very small demon, barely reaching to the knee of the rekroa. It is an aco demon, it is the lowest form of demon, the only one under it is a larvac. The aco demon has small antlers, a pair of sharp ears and two tattered wings.
The only reason why the rekroa hasn't killed the aco yet is due to it's size. Although it is far better to be large and strong in the abyss, being tiny and weak also has it's advantages.
Unfortunately the advantage of being small and quick comes to an end rather abruptly when the aco demon stumbles upon a few sticks. The rekroa quickly reacts to this sudden change of events and grabs the weakling.
Yet just when the rekroa wanted to bite it's tiny head off, a dark red colored flame struck it in it's back out of nowhere. It's scales melted as quickly as if they were butter, it shrieked in pain, letting go the aco demon in the process. Just when the aco wanted to flee as quickly as it could to get out of this predicament, five dark red knifes flew towards it.
Normally it could easily dodge such projectiles. What the aco didn't realize though, was that the knifes weren't dodgeable. When the knifes missed, they suddenly turned around and pierced the tiny demon's throat, lungs and it's stomach. It's vision faded to black almost instantly.
For some reasons though, it suddenly regained it's sight. It was panicked to see that it was floating above it's own corpse. And that certainly wasn't the end of it. It was transluscent. This moment didn't last for long, for a dark red puddle began forming under it's corpse. The puddle then started to form red mixed with blue colored chains. The chains shot up from the puddle, instantly restraining the soul of the demon while dragging it into the puddle.
It wanted to screech, only to find out that no sound was coming out. It was dragged into the puddle shortly after. It's vision once again faded to black.
Inside the second basin of water depicted a scene of the outskirts of hell, the realm of eternal damnation and tyranny, a small imp was punished harshly for it's failures by his superior devil. The imp screamed in pain.
"My lord! This will never-" the imp was cut short by a searing hot whip. The creature once again cried out in pain.

"Don't even try to talk yourself out of it you pathetic waste of breath." the superior devil snorted. The devil began punishing the weak imp harsher for it's audacity to talk back.
"Why have I been tasked with torturing this fool yet again? This is so tedious" the devil thought while rolling his eyes.
This continued for about ten more minutes until suddenly a masked figure teleported behind the two and all of a sudden attacked. It shot a large dark red ball of fire at them.
The superior of the imp quickly reacted and jumped out of the radius. The imp on the other hand was far too drained due to the torture to successfully dodge. It got hit by the menacing looking fireball, being incinerated almost instantly.
It was so quick that it couldn't even cry out. Only a few seconds after, under it's corpse appeared a red puddle with chains, which quickly dragged the terrified soul into it.
The devil that just lost his underling was furious. He would be punished later this day because of this!
"Who are you?!" shouted the devil.
"Who I am?" the masked figure chuckled before continuing. "I'm afraid I can't tell you that"
The devil let out a chuckle filled with malice "Getting cocky are we? Then I will know who you are after I rip your skull off your spine!" It stormed forward with alarming speeds, yet the masked figure didn't look troubled at all. And so this fight began. Yet to the devil's suprise, it ended just as quickly as it began due to a massive wave of dark red, extremely hot energy. Though before the devil died, it recognized this spell and shouted in horror.
"It, It can't be! You are-!" the devil couldn't even finish it's sentence before it's body was reduced to nothing in only a number of seconds. The masked figure looked around a bit before a smile crept up on his face.
"Now everything is ready"
The masked figure vanished without a trace shortly after from the blazing realm named hell and back to his luxurious cave.
Now that he was back inside his room, he sat back on the chair before the table where the two basins where.
Both basins now shifted from the images of both the abyss and hell to a simple room. The basins depicted a scene within the Wrubarek kingdom.
In a small noble estate, in the room where the servants slept, lied a half elven servant of the noble family of Chutwall. His name was Krenas. He had raven black hair that fell down onto his shoulders, blue eyes the color of the sky and slender facial features, giving him a noble look. His stature was thin, but also a little bit muscular, the result of his work as a servant.
He was the illegitimate son who was the consequence from a night of passion between the lord of the Chutwall family and an elven slave.
Two or threehundred years back, this would've been a normal occurance but after such a long time, elven slaves became exceedingly rare, thus the offspring between a human and an elf was a rare sight.
And even rarer was it that an elf or half-elf wasn't a slave. Krenas was an exceptional individual right from the start.

He had a talent of sneaking away from the guards at night and into the library to study. The reason why he wanted to study was to learn magic to escape from the quite uncomfortable reality that was slavery. He wanted to prove to the chutwell family that just because he was a half-elf, he could be much more useful than being a slave. Anything would be better than slavery for him.
The second reason was because he was rather fond of his sister. He didn't want her to live the rest of her life as a slave, this drive was only enhanced when he found out that the legitimate son of the chutwall lord forced his pent up desires of lust onto her. Of course through this action of the son of the lord, whose name was Orson, not only his determination rised.
His hatred for the noble boy was incredibly strong. Of course, the fulfillment of ones desires on a female slave was nothing special or noteworthy. Many nobles did that, if they either didn't had a fiancée or wife, or simply got bored of them after a while. Even if their partners found out, they probably wouldn't care anyway. Thinking that nobles married out of love was an entirely laughable idea.
Anyway, Krenas first learned etiquette so that he could become a servant. Of course first he was punished, after all, what slave dares to act like his masters? But after he still persisted on doing so, and seeing that he learned various other skills, he was promoted to a servant of the chutwall family after a long and heated discussion by the noble members of the house.
Krenas also taught his sister whose name was Alunyss but even after she persisted through all the pain and humiliation, they still didn't give her the role of a servant. Partially because Orson still wanted to keep using his favorite plaything. This infuriated Krenas but he could do nothing about it.
His latest, greatest achievement was to persuade Lord Chutwall to allow him to join the magical academy of the Wrubarek kingdom. His arguments were that since Lord Orson was also going to join the academy, he might need a servant to take over his mundane tasks.
And since he was a half-elf, he should be able to make use of his innate magical talent to benefit the chutwall family, maybe he could even impress the other nobles that the chutwall family had a servant that was proficient in magic, thus improving the Chutwall family's reputation.
Lord Orson of course wanted to take his sister much more for the trip but his father scolded him severly for even having the idea of bringing a slave to the magical academy. Krenas sighed in relief in his own mind at that time, of course not letting any feelings of relief show on the surface.
Lord Chutwall was convinced that it was a adequate idea, so he allowed it.
Even thinking about it made Krenas feel excited, alas this excitement was not to last. Quite the opposite of excitement filled Krenas's heart only a few moments later.
Two red puddles appeared on the cealing, dripping down some kind of red substance onto the floor. A few seconds later, two transparent souls which were bound painfully with chains appeared. One soul belonged to an imp, and the other belonged to an aco demon. Both had painful and terrified expressions on their faces.
Normally Krenas would be shocked that he could see souls at all but what happened next overshadowed that by miles.
The chains forced the two souls with alarming speed to invade his body! It was a quick but an excruciatingly painful moment.
It felt as if he was stuffed with a mountain sized amount of food at once, except that it was on a spiritual level.
A red light eveloped him. Afterwards, the chains broke and the two puddles disappeared.
Normally, that would be a wonderful thing for the demon and the devil, but they were now fighting to take control of the only available body. Krenas, the aco demon and the imp.
On the surface, everything was normal, Krenas was lying on his bed, except that within his iris, a fire, a wave of darkness and a cloud composed of light particles mixed with dark particles were fiercely fighting against each other.
The fire was representing the devil's soul, the wave of darkness the demon's and the cloud Krenas.
Krenas's soul was relatively weak compared to the demon's and the devil's for although he is a very intelligent mortal for his age of only fourteen and a half, he was of course nothing, compared to the immortal souls of the devil and the demon. After only a few minutes, Krenas's soul was already supressed. Now, the real battle began.
The orderly attacks of the imp hit the aco's weaker points in the soul but the demon's completely unrestrained fury was not to scoff at either. The both battled an hour with no clear winner in sight, although the imp began to show signs of taking over the momentum of the battle, yet that happened numerous times already. The demon's chaotic fury and complete unpredictability was incredibly hard to deal with for the imp. On the other side, the tactical defense of the imp was very hard to penetrate for the aco.
After another hour, the battle still didn't have a clear victor, although both souls were very injured.
The action that finally decided the outcome was that another servant grew tired of trying to wake Krenas up and punched him in the stomach.
This act of violence made both souls shudder. The aco's nature compelled him to strike back at the rat who disturbed the battle between him and the devil, so he took advantage of the fact that the devil was confused and took possession of the body of Krenas for a tiny moment. He laid his hands on the servants throat to strangle him, when the devil inside took this perfect opportunity to injure the soul of the demon, take possession of the body and finally supress both the aco and the original owner of the body.
Although he finally took control of the body, the demon and Krenas were both supressed very, very loosely, so with any slight outside disturbance, they could take over for a moment and make things difficult for him.
He needed to be as careful as possible now.
