《The Story Of Ash》Chapter 5 : The Mayor's Great Day

POV (MAYOR OF DOG SOUP VILLAGE) (30 minutes before Ash Prison break and destroying some of the village)
The Village of Dog Soup was like any other starter town, Not much has happened in these towns that is worth mentioning, But today is a different kind of day. I am the mayor of this town as decided by the royal city, My name is John, I am 40 years old and I would like to think I have done everything I could, to make this village the best out of the newbie villages. All my hard works comes down to today because not only is a member of the royal family coming to pick up his new familiar, It's the last of the bunnies and it came from our village!. This means not only will we get the thanks from the royal city family, They will also reward as accordingly. I am so excited. We have had a problem yesterday when a weird white heard brat fell from the sky, Probably some demon or something. The guards quickly dealt with the brat and put him in the prison, I am quite excited to show whoever shows up to collect the bunny, how quickly we caught an intruder in our village.
"MAKE WAY FOR THE PRINCE!!!" In shock, I look to my left where the sound comes from and I see a carriage which has more gold than I have ever seen in my life, There are 20 knights who look like they are ready for battle, They look quite terrifying with their gold-plated armour and smug looks like they are looking down on the world, I walk up to the carriage and bow. The leader of the guards who is a knight about 50 years old with streaming black hair and unlike his other smug looking younger knights he looks like he does not look down on anyone and is just waiting for the prince to come out of the carriage. The carriage opens and a blonde blue-eyed, good looking guy comes out, He may look good but just by his eyes when he looks around you can tell he thinks this place is filth. "My names is James lionheart, Third prince of the royal city I have come here to collect my new prize, where is the mayor of this town?" He looks around to look at everyone bowing their heads, I take a deep breath "Hello Prince Lionheart, My name is John and I am the mayor of this town, I am excited to see the great third prince of the royal city has come to this village, It is our greatest honour and our children's and our grand children's will talk about this for years to come.

The royal prince looks down at me with a smug smile "HAHAHHA You are certainly right about that, The great prince is stepping onto this village should be the greatest thing you have ever seen before HAHAHHA" The prince looks around as sees so of the village girls hanging behind their love one's trying their very best not to be seen, The Prince looks around at all the women and says "After we have gone to get my pet, bring all the women in this village to the centre of town, I think I am going to have fun with all of them before I leave HAHAHHAHAH!" The Mayor looks shocked at this but nods his head, What is he meant to do against a prince? As long as we have a few left we can survive, He thinks to himself while his mind is on the verge of dying. "We have kept your bunny in the prisoner we just have to go down there and get it"
The mayor and the prince with his guards in toe walked closer to the prison, When they see get closer to the prison, They an unbelievable sight as most of the guards who were seated around the prison were sent flying by this gust of wind. But what made matters worse was this gust of wind was moving and the match it has taken matched right where the royal prince was standing, As soon as this devastating wind came into contact with him, He was smashed so far into the wall he was impaled on a spike and killed, This only took a second to do and all the guards who were meant to be protecting him all got thrown away as they looked on in shock as just like that, A royal prince was killed.
The mayor was shaking and cowering, The wind that had taken the royal princes' life was still tearing up the village in a line, Who ever or what object was in the way would get blasted out of this wind if it was in its path, The strange thing was that the wind only went forward and do not go in any other direction as if it was alive (The wind is ash running out)

After the wind had left the village the royal guards got the royal prince of the spike which was connected to the other wall of the village where he was impaled, The guards were talking about how they should respond with this, When the main leader of the guards' comes up and asks me if we had anything that can cause that kinda of damage in the prison, I assure him there is nothing of that strength in the prison. When I tell him about the most recent addition to the prison of the boy named ash who we could not read his state only his level, He became serious and asked to see this boy.
It seems the captain of the royal guards is named Becker and he was not fast enough to save the royal prince but he clearly seen a young boy in that wind. Getting down in the prison is easier because we have another secret entrance and exit in which we used to get down to the prisoner, We try to avoid the monster as much as possible because even when feeding them, It is not that rare that someone loses an arm or a leg. But what I find strange is that I can usually hear the monsters down here going nuts, But right now all I hear is dead silence.
When we get to the cell the boy was in I am shocked to find that the cells have been broken out off, There is not even a trace of him left behind. He even broke out the two cages next to him as well! What am I going to do?!
"Sir I swear, I did not know he was this strong to break out of the cages"!. I am sweating like crazy, It would not be hard at all for this man to take my head back to the royal city families as compensation.
He looks at me briefly before turning back to the cages were the prisoners escaped from.
"I will take the Young princes' body back to the royal city families and we will put a bounty on this boy named Ash' head and hunt him until he is dead!! " The Guard Becker started of calm and then got angry in his statement but I already knew the life of this young boy is at an end soon.
POV change back to( Ash)

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.

Four story anthology
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] [participant in #NaNoWriMo] Preface: This fiction will contain four different stories set up as a challenge for myself and to get better at writing. The challenge for royal road writathon is a 55.555 word goal while the nanowrimo challenge is 50.000 words. Reader suggestions is turned on, feel free to point out errors I missed and I'll fix them up! Chasing sun, napping softly: Cultivation/Xianxia genre. Some parts will poke at the ridiculousness of the Xianxia gerne. We follow the life of a magical fox monster, who doesn't like how the cultivation world works. Said beast seems to have more knowledge than is usual for normal magical beasts. In it's infinite wisdom it decided to search for the main character of the cultivation world to have a cozy and safe place beside him. Our fox will act as a "wise beast" to coast along on the main characters rise to greatness, all for peace, happiness and that amazing napping spot in the sun. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing in first person. Comedic effect between talking vaguely and sounding wise. The cost of heroism: A story more centered around fights and mental health of hired mercenaries/heroes. The world is infected with an eldritch corruption. Humans are trying their best to explore and clear out wilderness and the dungeons hiding in them to establish new cities. Lords seek for hired hands to do the professional work. Thanks to the setting, the story will show how awful pasts are the norm and how pragmatic people became thanks to that. People exchange their sanity for riches, fame and gods acceptance. Interpersonal relationships change drastically and quickly. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing grim scenes/imparting a feeling of how grim the world is. Writing fight scenes. Showing different mental states. Describing their influence on people during fights, walks or even after successful or failed campaigns. Who will be the next powerhouse? : A story about a gaming show, it's host Staan and the different participants. Stereotype characters, stereotype backstories, silly challenges and quizzes. The winner of those challenges gets powerups for their power system. Be it magic, ki, psychic power or anything else imaginable and unimaginable to reach the power of gods. The challenges for myself with this story: A softer tone for storytelling. Making the reader smile and enjoy themselves. A different try at slice of life story. I was left behind on earth as my family conquered another world and enjoys riches, but that's okey because I got a cheat too! : Stereotypical Isekai story parody twisted into an Urban Fantasy story. The challenges for myself with this story: Writing over the top and overdramatic scenarios/scenes Writing in first person. Walking into stereotypical scenarios and making them more dramatic/giving them a twist. Different type of humor.

Except for bonus/extra or interlude Chapters)] [Chapter Release: Once Every Sunday. Depending on certain factors, like story-pacing, I may post more.] [The Warning tags are just there to give me freedom when writing. I don't plan to be overly descriptive of schmex scenes and gore. Don't worry.] Hello! I'm Lire, and this is my first fiction! I know its going to be rough around the edges. But I'm trying my best to improve day by day. I hope you're patient with me if you do give this fiction a try! Correction suggestions are appreciated. Same with grammar corrections. English isn't my first language, so it would help me improve. I'll try my best to make as few mistakes as possible though! Constructive Criticism is very welcome. Anything to make my first brain-child, the best it can possibly be!! If all you do is diss it, without providing anything constructive, I'm ready to pour whatever creative juices I have on making up insults for you, your mother, and all your Ancestors! ...as long as I don't feel particularly lazy at the time. Also, if your diss makes me laugh while also being true, you get a pass too. I'll even give you rep. By the way, this work will be heavily influenced by (English TLed) Japanese Light Novels and Korean Web Novels. I mainly read that kinda stuff after all. With minor influence from Wuxia and Xianxia. Really, just a little though. Oh, and Harry Potter which I read repeatedly when I was a child. If you hate those types of novels, then please piss off immediately. I don't want to waste your time. Now, If you do like them, then please give my novel a shot! *bows*
