《The Dark Star Emperors》Chapter 125: Mosaic Soul

Annie put the sleeping man down and covered him with a cloth that was lying around.
"What are you doing, Annie?" the voice said.
Then, she appeared. The whole world began to fade into a white globe with just them two.
"Don't call me that. I'm not Annie," she replied.
"Yes, you are. We are Annie!"
"No. You're Annie, but not me. You're a monster that can't control herself."
"Control? We don't need to worry about control. The world is the canvas, and we are the painter."
"Stop referring to me with 'us'. I'm not you. The two of us aren't the same."
"You are made with me. Everything about you is me," she said in frustration.
Then, suddenly more silhouettes began to appear around the Annie in her head. All of them either gray humans or monsters, but the girl recognized them all. They were all a part of her just like Annie. But not just their memories, but it felt like their souls as well. Their hopes and dreams. All of it within one body.
Yet, the girl carried her own mind. Her own views. Her own soul. She strived to be her own individual.
Black tentacles and hands began to grab Annie. They began to tear her apart and push her back with the rest of the silhouettes.
"No," Annie cried angrily, "You can't do this to me. You're my flesh and blood."
The girl continued, "I may have your blood in me, but I have more than that. I won't deny that you're a part of me. You're just not the only part."
The girl began to see a glint of fear in Annie's eyes as she was being dragged away. But it didn't bother the stitched girl. She knew that she wasn't really gone. She would always stay. Just like with the rest of the minds and memories stored in her head.

Annie cried in anger one last thing before the only part left was her eye, "You're nothing. You're just a soulless body. A mosaic of flesh."
Then, the girl thought about the word 'mosaic'.
"Mosaic? Yeah. I like that."
And then, the eye was grabbed away. And she was gone from sight dragged back with the rest of them.
The silhouettes all looked at the girl, but there was no intention to harm her. They all felt that she wasn't the same as Annie or any of them. She was a mixture of them to the point of being her own person.
Then, the world vanished in a blink and she was back in reality.
She took out her black coin from her pocket and called out, "Shopkeep. Shopkeep. Shopkeep. Come here."
The shopkeeper appeared, "Hello. How may I serve?"
The girl tossed the coin over to him and said, "There's a wig store that was recently robbed. I want you to fix whatever was broken."
"Anything else?"
The girl took off her wig and threw it at the shopkeeper who was confused. She no longer wanted it. She felt comfortable with the rough hair she had.
"Also, give that back to them," she said.
"Well, alright. There hasn't been too many black coins coming my way lately, so I'll do two jobs for one," he said before vanishing in a gust of wind.
The girl didn't flinch. She had the memories of other people, but didn't pry into them as she felt it would be rude to pry into others' lives. But even without them, she just had a sense of what to do as part of her was Light Guardian and Night Demon. She, now, fully believed herself to be her own person.

She noticed the shadowy dog barking and licking her legs.
The girl knelt down and began to pet it lightly with a kind smile. It was a Night Demon, but it was cute and soft. And it had helped her fight off those creatures.
"Aren't you a good boy. What's your name?" the girl asked.
"Schatten. Woof. Your name?"
The girl paused for a moment. She smiled and said, "Mosaic."
