《The Dark Star Emperors》Chapter 131: The Universe's Lying Secret

Azresol has fallen. The three Dark Star Emperors now fully embraced what they were. It was what they were all along, and it was fear of themselves that held them back. But now, their chains were broken.
Anne dashed towards where the fight was occurring.
To the outside, it looked like a black hole was forming. When she finally arrived, she saw the three letting go of the pieces of armor. Their shadowy and monstrous forms bare for her to see. Her heartbeat froze. The three monsters looked back and their eyes stared directly at Anne. Their mouths salivated for more.
Although Anne was brave and fought many Night Demons for vengeance, when she faced the three Dark Stars, her body quaked. Space and reality twisted to meet them.
Jack, Mary, and Yune took a step forward expecting Anne to fight. And with that one step, Anne screamed and ran away. She knew that she couldn't fight them. Their mere presence was enough to instill a sense of defeat.
"I'm sorry, Kira. I'm sorry, Nina. I can't," Anne muttered as she ran.
Then, as the fight ended and Anne was no where to be seen, Jack, Mary, and Yune reverted back into their guardian forms. Their marks faded away only leaving behind a silhouette of it on their left arms.
They sighed a breath of relief. Reality began to come back to them. The world continued to spin. Hydrapurge was defeated. Azresol was defeated. But the Dark Star Emperors lived.
But before they could celebrate their victory, a white dove flew over to them.
"What a spectacular show that Azresol put up. And I must congratulate the three of you for defusing that soul bomb. Good job. Good job," he said.
"Wha-!? A being of light!?" Mary exclaimed.
Jack, Mary, and Yune expected another fight. They were sure that the light was their enemy, and so would the thing creating Light Guardians.

"Oh, right. I should turn into something that you're more familiar with," he said as his form morphed.
His feathers turned black. The dove started to transform into an owl. It was Hades to the three's surprise.
"Hello," Hades said.
"What-?" Jack was about to ask, but Hades interrupted her.
"I'd like to congratulate you for finally turning into the Dark Stars I knew you would."
"What are you? I thought you were a being of darkness. Not light," Yune said confused.
Hades replied nonchalantly, "Right... What was the story I told you about, again? A war between the light and dark or something. It's been a while."
"Story? Wait. Were you lying about that when you revived us?" Jack asked.
"Does it really matter?"
"Yes," Yune said as she tried to hook Hades, but the owl just flew away and knocked it back with no effort, "You lied to us. You're a being of light and dark."
"Disgusting," Mary said to Hades, "It's like you just don't care about anything. You must have created both the Light Guardians and Night Demons to fight each other. So much unnecessary violence."
Jack, Mary, and Yune tried to kill the creature, but it kept dodging. Meanwhile, Hades continued to talk without any sense of trouble.
"Maybe. Light. Dark. It doesn't matter. I could say that the entities of light and dark are sentient and are fighting to this very moment. I could also say that they're just a bunch of space gas colliding with each other on accident with no purpose at all. Maybe, there is no such thing as them at all. All I did was tell you a tale. If you want to consider it a lie, you can, but you'll never really know. And every good lie has some truth sprinkled in every now and then. And as for my own origins. Am I on one side or another? If there is a war, maybe I'm manipulating both sides if there are sides. I could have been born the moment the light and dark began their 'war', or maybe I'm an alien creating Light Guardians and Night Demons to constantly fight each other for fun or some other convoluted reason. You can believe whichever one you want to believe. But would it really matter? At the end of the day, you'll look up at the same blue sky not having to worry about anything until it comes crashing into your little bubble-."

And then, as Hades spoke, Mary shot out one good shot of her claw and it pierced straight through. Blood came out and the creature popped like a balloon.
The three sighed for a brief moment.
"That's enough talking from you," Mary said.
"Is it?" Hades's voice echoed around them. Without them noticing, hordes of white and black mice surrounded them. They all stood in straight lines and spoke in unison, "You can trillions of us every seconds, and I'd still be here. Your efforts would be futile."
Even so, the three of them began to attack at them, but their numbers just kept increasing. They attacked until they ran out of breath, but Hades didn't retaliate. Eventually, they did tire and stop when they saw their numbers just remain the same even after killing hundreds of them. There weren't even any bodies left as proof of their existence.
Hades said, "You should know that Azresol wasn't exaggerating when she said that 'all' of the Light Guardians know what you are. Every one of them know about your existence, now."
After hearing that, Yune, Jack, and Mary began to listen.
Hades continued, "You may think of me as a liar, but this is the truth. Azresol was connected to all other Light Guardians. She showed them all what you were. Every single Light Guardian is aware of the three of you, now. She even mentioned how you three were responsible for destroying Janken City."
The three would have no reason to believe this coming from Hades's mouth, but after hearing Azresol say something similar to that before she perished, they were inclined to.
"We didn't destroy this city," Jack said, "That was that giant monster."
"Well, you certainly did attract it. Every where you go, Night Demons will follow like following the scent of their own mothers. Hydrapurge was just one of the many. But we're getting off topic. She even included that killing the three of you would grant two-thousand black coins to whoever manages to. That part may or may not be true, but it did get the more not-so moral types to join."
"Damn it," Jack said.
All of the animals began to scurry away until there was only two mice left. One black. One white. But with the same voice.
Hades continued, "Good-bye. I doubt we'll be seeing each other, again."
And then, the three Dark Stars were left alone with their thoughts. They overlooked the ruins of Janken City. Nobody was coming back. The only sound was the chirps of small birds. Clothes rustled in the wind. The once loud and obnoxious setting of a bustling city was reduced to nothing. The clear blue sky above them was calm and unnerved. The sun shined like it was a bright new day. Yet, the three Dark Stars knew that they could no longer stay. Everybody knew who they were. And they wouldn't stop hunting them. They accepted themselves for what they were, but they had no choice but to run.
