《Hydar Celestial Imperium》Curiosity (06)

Date: 3rd Binary Week, 3rd Binary Day
Location: Hydar Planet
Era: Awakening
In my dreams, I could see and feel a place beyond my imagination. A dimension full of disembodied beings that faced extinction at the hands of a catastrophic event, which extended an illness, annihilating it and compressing it, to then explode, illuminating the entire cosmos until it transcended the limits of reality and dimensions.
- "Making him dream of us will make him more fanatical about our cause"- predicted one voice
I woke up in that state of stupor, while trying to get up, I stretched out deeply, I realized how the Eolytus who was still lying next to me was directing a kind of deep gaze at me.
- "Spectral Form: Insufficient Energy"-
Then he vanished before my sight as if his long binary hours of vigil had come to an end, this produced in me a feeling of gratitude to that strange spirit but at the same time he was alone again, I tried again to invoke him but for some reason I could not...
- "Eolyto Exteriorization Failure"-
Finally I gave up and thought that surely there were more beings like me out there of my own species or others who were friendly and were able to communicate with me, equally I knew that there would be some like the Zaxtod who could cause me problems and I had to take care of them.
- "If, we could be with him, continuously"-
I could feel the presences around me by my [Psionic Radar] ability to know their exact location but not what they were. Maybe I could find out if I went quietly to them... or I shouldn't try.
- "Attempting Standing Action"-
I tried to stand up, walk upright but in my attempt I fell flat on my face against the floor once more, letting myself know that my little body was not yet ready to stand upright easily or even try to walk but there was something in me that was prompting me to try.
- "Individual Failure Too Young"-
I finally crawled over, approached the bushes from the previous time, accounted for the last remaining [Reluty Tubers], and finally headed for a nearby greenish water stream to quench my thirst.
- "Detecting Hormonal Levels of Innocent Curiosity"-
I knew that I had to explore the jungle around me the benefits to me could be much greater, apart from the fact that I needed to find a new food source to be a better tasting one...
- "We cannot avoid his nature, we must accompany him and do our best" - Said one of them- "[Thanks to him, we are alive, even if a bit cramped...]" - Replied another
I finally opted to find out about the many plants around me that could perhaps do me harm by launching the detection on several, the only thing I got was:
[Species:Lepreuzon]
[Race: Tree, Plant]
[Skills: [Photosynthesis], [Growth], [Blossom], [Fruit]
- "It's better to be careful...with everything"-
I couldn't see anything strange in its composition, so I climbed up the Lepreuzon being aware that it was a big forest of these possibly dangerous species.

I slowly climbed up the trunk, which seemed a bit rough and complicated, but my reduced weight helped me considerably.
Suddenly a kind of unconnected form was drawn on my Psionic Radar moving very quickly, moving...from branch to branch by the Lepreuzon.
- "Detecting Frugivorous Life"-
The figure was soon under my field of vision, it was a kind of creature all covered with a brownish brown coat with up to 6 limbs that allowed it to move at great speed, swinging from one place to another without any problem, its head was small and black with a jaw quite bulging that gave a sense of danger.
Quickly and without realizing it, I made a
[Psionic Detection]
[Species:Yerkil]
[Race: Humanoid, Ape]
[Skills: [Climbing], [Agility], [Biting], [Fur]
Reading his data, I noticed that I was not especially dangerous, yet I saw how the Yerkil finally noticed my presence...then he started to scream, maybe he was trying to scare me...
- "We'd better not go into the territory of other species"-
A feeling of not interfering pushed me to withdraw, then I began to climb to the top of the Lepreuzon, concretely its highest point, I contemplated a landscape that left me amazed, an immense ocean of multicolored Lepreuzons extended through all my great field of vision, while diverse forms of creatures swarmed from one place to another, a paradise but dangerous for how I was today.
- "There's a lot, ground to cover"-
- "Your curiosity will bring us trouble..." -
The howls of the Yerkil slowly died down, when he stopped seeing me, then I noticed how his signal was moving away from me towards the thickets and then I lost it...
Despite this fateful encounter, something inside me pushed me to keep going, to explore the confines of this vast place full of strange species with unique abilities, full of diverse fruits and other foods that I could take advantage of and even more so members of my own species, waiting for me to meet them and communicate with them.
[Personal Trait: Explorer's Curiosity: Obtained]
I felt that something was changing in me while my inspiration and soul were flying through the clouds, I quickly checked my state where I perceived a new characteristic, a new feature.
[Personal Trait: Explorer's Curiosity: Obtained]
Curious Personality: Obtained
25% increase in outreach capacity of the [Psionic Radar]
50% increase in resistance against [Fear of the unknown]
I quickly understood what I had obtained while a wave of restlessness and extreme curiosity invaded my interior making me want to dive in, understand and embrace everything around me.
- "This is going beyond the parameters"-
- "We had it figured out, only to acquire such a trait... no"-
- "This is how a real headache begins"-
I quickly mapped out a route I wanted to experience important moments to meet other species, save some, test my powers against others and all thanks to my new improved and more curious senses I started to chase the signs they saw in my mind.

At that time, I was a curious being, that curiosity brought me good moments and others where I discovered the true nature that hides a simple mask of gratitude, compassion and kindness. This led me to develop a caring charisma for those around me, trust was a gift that only a few could earn, I realized this.
A great Albino Being dressed in a bizarre black tunic with golden embroidery, directed his eyes to one of the many windows that decorated his palace, observing the outside while somehow it seemed as if he was talking to himself...
Then he continued to talk and became immersed in his memories again.
While I was walking around the Lepreuzons in the top of their glasses, I found a kind of orange-green fruits and decided to take a quick look at them as a detection
[Species: Trelonih, Fruit, Sugar Source, Vitamins]
[Properties: Calories: Identified, Medical: Unknown, Transformation: Unknown]
The identification was successful, I had hardly tasted anything apart from a few remaining Reluty and although I had tried the invocation it had not had any effect, as if something decided that it was not the best time, then I noticed the Trelonih as I sat on one of the thick branches devouring several of them that came in a sort of cluster with several of them attached.
- "Caloric Properties, Strengthen Our Energy"-
- "At least we don't depend on our own generation"-
I perceived a kind of cry for help, or something like that, something moaning in desperation, I recalibrated my senses to try to find out where this desperate call was coming from...
Two signs caught my attention that were close together were practically touching, one was bigger and one was smaller.
I quickly arrived at the site to view the scene in its entirety
In the place a creature a little bigger than me was on the scene, it looked agitated and with extreme fear, the other bigger energy signature swarming around the area as trying to find it I quickly detected the smaller one.
[Species: Bguler]
[Race: Mammal, Herbivore]
[Skills: [Small Load], [Small Bite], [Minor Detection]
Being a small being that stood on three small legs, it had a kind of elongated trunk that most likely allowed it to grasp the leaves of the multiple Lepreuzon of the place and other plants.
While I was investigating all this in my mind, the great energy signature came close to detecting those of the smaller one, this only made Bguler more nervous trying to escape, to find himself quickly trapped between the tentacles of that strange being that threw them with an astonishing speed.
I quickly made a detection to find out what I was up against...
- "A predator... what was missing"-
[Species: Yurek]
[Race: Mollusk, Carnivore]
[Skills: [Crustacean Scales], [Lethal Poison], [Jaw Crushers], [Grip Tentacles]
I quickly saw the Yurek catch the Bguler between his long, scaly body without a chance to get out of his restraints while the Bguler groaned uncontrollably, knowing that his end was near, the Yurek's jaws are ready to sink into his teeth.
- "Psion Node Systems: Online"-
For some strange reason I didn't think about it, I ended up seeing myself involved by jumping onto this fierce stage as if something was driving me to protect the life of this small animal perhaps the adrenaline of the moment or the search to help the weakest...
- "Psionic Energy Condensation: Online"-
The Yurek noticed my presence and quickly turned his big head towards me, looking at me for a few moments and then spitting a big puff of orange liquid at me, probably poison,
- "Detecting Threat, Psion Shield: Online"-
I reacted instantly, the [Psionic Shield] deployed around me as I made contact with the liquid, deflecting it like a water jet just as if a dome were protecting me.
The fact that its attack had no effect on an invisible force protecting me made the creature, which then extended a part of its tentacles towards me, doubtful.
So one part of it imprisoned its first prey the Bguler tightly and the second with its tentacles rushed directly at me.
- "Enemy Aggression Detected"-
- "Concentrating Countermeasures: Online"-
The [Psionic Shield] suffered no damage whatsoever, but managed to stop it and somehow the tentacles were repelled and came into contact with the psionic energy and quickly turned to dust
To which the creature screamed uncontrollably, then decided not to leave anything to chance, swooping in with the balrug glued to itself as if it could protect it.
- "The use of a psionic beam is recommended"-
- "Psionic Beam: Online"-
At first I did not know how to respond to the threat of that great creature rushing at me, but something inside me woke up for a few moments but I lost track of myself.
- "We have his consciousness... temporarily"-
- "Load countermeasures"-
A bolt of lightning was concentrated around the scene, the Yurek far from panicking, continued but at one point he sensed the danger and began to retract the scales from his own body in an attempt to avoid the blow.
- "Let's get this over with, Fire!" -
Suddenly the beam of light shot out like an arrow through and cutting through the air around it, hitting the Yurek which drowned out such a horrific scream before it was pierced all over its centre, scattered inside in a pool of blood on the floor and finally falling.
- "Enemy Presence Annihilated"-
- "-[Going to Manual Mode]"-
Luckily the Balrug did not suffer any damage but he had been caught between the tentacles and seemed to be unconscious, apparently he had fainted after experiencing so many emotions in such a short time.
[Title Unlocked: Small: Giant Killer]
[Resistance and Critical Damage to Larger and Stronger Creatures]
- "That trait will come in handy"-
- "Scan the Mind of Balrug, we must make sure"-
-To be continued-

To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally.
