Aariv was panicking.
He was flying through the forest as fast as he could, away from the black mist, considering what he had just seen. The mist was chasing him, leaving husks behind. The closer the mist got to him, the more fear and despair he felt.
It was faster than him and one of the only reasons it hasn't turned him into an empty husk was because it got distracted by other monsters nearby and rushes toward them.
Also, Aariv could only see the mist when he uses [Mana Sight], he has to concentrate when using it and Aariv can't concentrate very well while being chased by the mist.
However, [Danger Sense] help him tell where the mist was.
After a while of [Danger Sense] not going off, Aariv turns his head around to look behind him and active [Mana Sight].
"Where is that damn thing?" Aariv asks, nervously. He turns his head and didn't see any trace of the black mist causing him to relax a bit, but still kept his guard up.
"It's gone?" Aariv didn't waste a second and start flying away from the area as fast as he could.
However, he wasn't so lucky. Aariv felt himself being slammed to the ground, he felt his heart beating against his chest as he opens his mouth to scream, but no sound came out.
He could feel a weight holding him to the ground.
Aariv saw insects crawling all over, then fire burning him, he could smell burnt flesh and feel the heat. He felt knives being stabbed into him. Pain was starting to take over his mind and the life being drained out of him.
Despair was all Aariv felt as he accepts his fate.
Then all of a sudden, his mind began to clear.

"Huh?" Aariv force himself to stand up and the screeching could still be heard. The screeching could be described as sounding like many people screaming all at the same time, distorted.
Then he looks up.
What he saw was something that he could only describe as beautiful.
Her face was delicate, looks like it was sculpted out of marble, eyes shut, and it had a peaceful expression. Hair that was golden blonde. She wore an armor that was exquisitely made and she shines more brightly than the sun itself.
She was simply...beautiful.
[Passive Skill: Eyes of the Beholder] - Lv. 1 acquired.
Aariv shook his head, taking his eyes off her, and saw that he was full of energy. Taking the opportunity, he took off, flying as fast, never looking back.
...
...
...
After hours of flying, Aariv was in a tree hollow, catching his breath. He was tired but was experiencing a sort of emotion that he couldn't describe.
"What was that?" He asks. Aariv was unable to answer his own question, he decides to just open up his stats.

"[Eyes of the Beholder]?"
[Passive Skill: Eyes of the Beholder] - Lv. 1 - Beauty is in the eyes of the beholders. Individuals will be considered beautiful due to how they glow. The brighter they glow, the greater their fate is.
"...the greater their fate is?" Aariv did understand what the description said about the skill, only that it made him some people will be considered beautiful to him due to how they 'glow.'
He looks around saw monsters running around although, to his surprise, there was also normal animal, though they look like livestock.
However, there was something about them that bothers him, and he doesn't know what it was. Then, he realizes what it was.
They all had some sort of glow to them, just like her. Wait, what her name or her species was, though, he wasn't sure if [Apprasial] would work on her.
Anyway, they had some sort of glow similar to her but it was more dull, bland, unlike the bright and beautiful glow that she had.
The livestocks' glow was duller than the monsters, but the differences weren't much.
He turns around, seeing more monsters that had the same dull glow as the other. Then he heard a loud noise and a gasp.
Aariv turned toward the noise and saw a little girl staring at him. His eyes widen when he saw the little girl, ignoring the noise that the little girl was making.
Her glow was bright, white, pure, and untainted. It wasn't as beautiful as her but it was beautiful and pure.
A growl snaps him out of his daze, a thunder cat was crawling toward the girl, ready to pounce on her. It began to move and was suddenly stop in its track when a stone spike impaled it.
Aariv was glaring at the now-dead thunder cat. The human girl didn't notice that Aariv was in a murderous rage and was glaring at the corpse of the feline.
He then observed the girl.
Something this pure should not be tainted.

Another world
For some, this old story would always be altered, but the outcome was always the same. 'The Evening Celebration.' Some blame humanity for provoking them, while others accuse monsters from another realm, and a few believed it was all merely the devil's fault. There is now a killer in the city. Attacking all the young ladies, pulling something from within them, and abandoning them on the doorsteps of their loved ones. Exactly similar to the old story. Will this issue ever be resolved, or will it be the start of something new? Ignoring the matter is also an option. Continuing with their everyday routine is generally a wise decision. That's just for the time being, of course. Till the plot leads them to someone they should have never encountered.

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
