《A Curious Bird》19. Hateful Drake

Aariv was starting to get bored.
He had been following the group of humanoids for several hours now, only stopping due to him getting hungry. Heck, he levels up to two, that how long he has been following them. All, they've been doing is killing monsters and gathering plants and they didn't give him a single chance to hypnotize them since they never leave each other's side.
Aariv sighs. It would seem that he would forcefully separate them if he wanted to have a chance to hypnotize one of them.
He could kill just all but one and just hypnotize the survivor into helping him. He was after all, stronger than them, but...Come on, he wasn't a monster, they hadn't try and harm him, yet.
Now...How does he go about splitting them up? Hmm...He'll have to a quick look at what skills he has right now before making a decision.

Opening up his stats, and scanning through his skills, Aariv formed a plan. He was gonna formed some fog to obscure their visions and then—
Where the fuck were they? Aariv's head rapidly moves around as he tries and spots where the group is. "Fuck," He curses as he spread his wings and took flight.
The owl flew through the forest looking for the humans, dwarf, and elves and found them setting up camps and it was nighttime. Aariv angrily ate the horned rabbit he just caught as he stared at them.
"Finally found ya," Aariv mutter. He waited for them to finishes setting up camps, and for them to go to sleep. After a while, they finally went to sleep, each going inside a tent.
Aariv noted that out of the five, only the mage didn't share a tent with someone. He jumps down and flew silently toward the tent, he landed on the land and peek into the wizard's tent.

Inside the tent, was the mage turning around and around as he try and sleeps. Aariv however, didn't try and step one foot into the tent. Why? Why because his instinct keeps telling him that he shouldn't.
He then proceeds to activates [Mana Sight], reasoning that whatever inside the tent that was setting his danger sense off, had something to do with magic because that was a mage in the tent, and magic needs mana. Using the skill, Aariv saw...Nothing, he spotted nothing.
The only traces of mana that he could see was the fucking mage himself!
So why were his senses telling him that he shouldn't step into the tent? Why? Why? "Fuck it, I'm getting out here," Aariv hisses. He steps away from the tent away and was starting to fly when he saw the ground shaking.
Aariv watches in horror as the scales face of a drake erupt from the ground and crawled out of the ground, crushing the tent that the mage was in, killing the mage.
The drake then proceeds to throw back its head and let out a roar that sent Aariv flying and caused him to slammed his back into a tree. The owl let out a grunt of pain as he slides to the ground.

The Records of Eternity: The Traveller of Worlds
There probably won't be anything much for Traveller for the next while as I honestly don't have much of an idea of what the hell I plan on doing. While I wait for another spark of genius for this I want to get out some chapters for my other works, which I do have an idea of where I want to go. So instead of stressing myself out over this bottleneck, I will be focusing on other stories until I breakthrough. The Traveller of Worlds is a tale that tells the adventure of the young Saxon girl Millie Von Augustine, though she has another name. Millie is the eldest child of the Augustine family, a noble family in the Kingdom of Saxony. Although being a woman she was barred from succeeding her father as head of the family. In addition, she has been treated rather poorly by most of her family due to her tomboyish personality. But one day as a youth, she met someone in the woods behind her house, and this encounter would forever change her fate. Moving this to have a new chapter at a minimum of every three weeks as I have started another project full time. The cover artwork was made by Nez Illust, check their page for more their stuff. You can find more information on the universe of The Records of Eternity at https://recordsofeternity.wordpress.com/ I will also be posting any updates on how things will proceed and random other thoughts pertaining to the series on my website.
