《A Nekomancers delight》Chapter 3: Yoga

Nyam walked into the apartments after a long day at work. Her arms hurt, her legs hurt and she was tired. A cat shouldn't have to work, that's just madness. But sadly, her circumstances didn't allow for the lazy and carefree life she envisioned for herself. Her mind conjured up the image of a certain skeleton. The one she, unfortunately, calls a roommate. She didn't mind living with him, that's not the unfortunate part. The thing that perplexed her is that he forced her to go to work, despite being able to care for the two of them by himself.
She assumed that was the silent deal between the two of them when they decided to live together. He would feed her and pay rent, in return she would be his roommate. She thinks it's a good deal, in his favor even. After all, she doesn't ask for anything else besides food. She is quite a humble and good cat. The best company a weirdo like him could ask for.
The stingy skeleton, however, saw things differently. He rattled on about her having to take care of herself or something like that. Then he cold-heartedly made her work as a maid in a maid cafe. She didn't hate the job, she liked the other staff working there and the maid outfit was cute. Also, maids are good. But she hates work.
"Stupid skeleton…", Nyam said as she climbed the last set of stairs. She walked through the hallway until she reached her room. Pulling the keys out of her pocket, she unlocked the door and walked in.
What greeted her was a huge mess. Bones everywhere, scattered aimlessly through her shared room. She knew of course who's bones they were, how could she not. After putting down her bag, she started looking for one bone in particular.
However, she couldn't find his skull laying anywhere after a quick search until she noticed that it was badly attached to the ceiling with tape.
She could probably reach it with a chair but decided to call out to him instead. "Grave? What are you doing?" The skull moved a bit in its taped confinement before it answered. "Hm? Oh, Nyam you are back. Wait, did you change your hair color again? This is like the third time this week. Just stop already. When will you be satisfied, you greedy cat?"

Nyam pouts at that and answers, "I change my hair as much as I want. Also, I asked you a question, what are you doing?".
The skeleton says, "Ahhh, this? It's obvious isn't it, I am doing yoga. I am trying to reach a higher spiritual level, open my third eye, learn how to levitate, and shoot laser beams out of my empty eye socket like in Undertale. Oh my, look at silly me explaining advanced concepts to a cat. Of course, you wouldn't understand what I'm talking about. Hohohohoho!", and laughs in a fake laugh. He probably thinks it makes him sound like a wise old man or something.
"This doesn't look like yoga to me.", she said as she looked around the messy room. "I didn't know he can detach his ribs from his ribcage" she thought to herself.
"HAH! Of course, there is no resemblance to your puny mortal yoga! This is an ancient technique, top-secret, and passed down only to the most trusted and capable of skeletons throughout generations! Your puny fleshy brain cannot even try to comprehend its mysteriousness and complexity!", by now the skeleton has become very arrogant, which annoyed her.
"Get out of my room.", she said.
"Hmmm? You mean our room."
"Fine, get out of our room."
"No no no, that's not what I meant. This is also my room, you can't just tell me to get out."
"We share this room and you are partially in my part, so go back to yours."
"I can't! If I stop the yoga technique now, the whole world may implode!"
"It won't."
"How do you know? The sacred art of the cult of milk is very volatile and destructive! It takes all of my focus to make sure you don't get harmed by all the loose energy around us, you know!?"
"That's it, I'll get you out myself."
With that, Nyam started picking up pieces of bone that are transgressing the boundaries of her territory.
"Oi Oi Oi! Did you not listen to anything I just said? Put them back, right now!"
"Nyo."
"NYAAAAAAAAAMM! You are disturbing my chakra! You are turning this place into a ticking timebomb if you don't put 'em back!"

"So this place could blow up?"
"YES!!! So pu-"
"I'll better leave then, bye.", after Nyam said that, she opened the door and left again. Graves body parts she picked up, still under her arm.
"Wha- Wher- Wh-", meanwhile Grave was still processing what just happened. It's hard without a brain, so please be patient with him.
Meanwhile, Nyam is running down hallways and stairs alike as she is zooming around the building. With her catgirl speed, she reaches a certain room in the basement in no time. Nyam liked coming here from time to time. It was warm, dry, and kinda cozy, especially with the blankets stored in here. She came down here every once in a while to get away from Grave's shenanigans or whatever else bothered her. It wouldn't take too long for him to find her here, but she didn't care. She didn't want to run away from him forever, after all, just show the dumb skelly not to mess with her so much.
She sighs and mumbles to herself, "I wonder what I should do in the meantime… guess I can read some of the books I keep in here.". She extends her hand, the one not still holding on to the bones she managed to snatch, towards one of the shelves where she kept her books when her fine cat ears picked up a noise.
"YoU…"
Nyam's reflexes took over, her eyes narrowed and her head darted in the direction the noise came from. What she saw was some sort of abomination. A spider, deformed and deranged, hung from the ceiling. It was entirely made out of bones, wildly thrown together without any order to somehow resemble the form of an arachnid. In what looked like the joint of a leg, was a skull, without a lower jaw, that is looking straight at her.
"tHeRe Is No EsCaPe!", before the catgirl could react to what is happening, the abomination launched itself with surprising speed right at her. Unable to dodge, the cat was helpless as the spider landed right in her face.
"MYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!", she screamed and let go of whatever was in her hands to claw away at the being and throw it off. Unnecessarily as it turns out, because the moment her hands touched the giant spider invading her face, it jumps off on its own. It lands right in the pile of bones she dropped in her shock.
With horror she watches the, somehow wriggling, mass of bones perversely move. Like a ball of snakes, constantly moving. This went on for many painful seconds until the ball exploded into the form of a humanoid skeleton that landed on its feet perfectly.
"HaHA! I'm finally back together.", the fully naked Grave said.
"BAKAAAAAAAAAAAAA!", screaming, Nyam picks up a book that fell off from a shelf and advances on Grave with the clear intention of hitting him on the head with it.
Grave nimbly dodges the book. In her confusion, Nyam didn't notice how he detached his left arm and is now holding it in his right hand. What she did notice however is the pain on top of her head as Grave clubbed her, using his own arm as a weapon.
"NO, YOU!"
The scared, confused, and hurt cat sat down and started crying.
"Awwww, no need to cry. Listen, I'm sorry for scaring you like that ok? I just don't like it when people steal my body parts. Bad experience you know? Kind of like this winter soldier thing. Won't apologize for the bap tho, you deserved that."
"NUUUUUHHHHH!", the catgirl was still crying.
"There there~", in response Grave started affectionately patting her head.
Nyam stopped crying after a bit of patting but still glared at him while pouting and with teary eyes. Obviously, she was still mad, in face of the pat however she was still snuggling against his hand anyway. So he started scratching her ears as well.
Nyam seemed to enjoy it a lot. So after a sufficient amount of patting and scratching, Grave pulled his hand back and asked, "So, we feeling better now?".
Nyam wiped the remaining tears out of her eyes. Afterwards she looked at him, still pouting and her face scrunched up a little in anger. "Idiot…", she said softly.
"Great!", Grave exclaimed, "Let's go back then. I ordered the two of us some pizza and the delivery person should arrive soon, don't wanna miss 'em."
