《The Emperor Wouldn't Approve(GL)》Ch.5 Our Secret Date (ll)

Hypnotizing sounds of a harp that started playing softly in the background. Piercing into the ears of the audience, in front of the stage, whose eyes looked upon with curiosity and anticipation. As the music grew louder, they could hear mellow cries begging out to someone. It abruptly stopped crying out, defeated. They heard the door slammed harshly, disappearing along with music into the wind together.
The stage lit up, an altar surrounded by beautiful red blossoms that seemed to have just bloomed, arranged beside candles crafted in shapes of peach blossoms. Hanging happily against the wall, beneath sat jugs of wine and plump peaches that have recently picked off the tree. In front of the altar, families' joyful smiles on their faces, laughing and greeting one another. On the first half of the altar, happily stood a handsome honey-skinned man, hazel eyes bright, smiling at the door, leading their eyes to a room.
A beautiful, sweet melody played, accompanied by a flute. The music began once again. This time arousing a quite pitiful feeling in them, biting their lips and gripping knees. At an eerily peaceful sound consuming them, urging them to listen on. So they did cautiously.
Sunny and Minny's hands, still intertwined, looked on, eager to see which direction the play heads in. An ivory skin woman with beaming blue eyes laid down on the bed, her arms curled around her petite body shivering and weeping softly to herself. Wrinkling her white gown bedazzled with bright blue roses, slowly creeping out her bed over her window and quietly opening it, glancing to the door bitterly.
Sunny breathes out in shock at the bride sneaking away from her wedding, jumping out the window, and sprinting into the forest, accidentally tripping. Falling into a pitch dark cave, landing on the cold, hard stone. Slowly rising onto her feet holding the wall, to grasp a sense of where the exit lies.
Seeing a bright red light she follows the path it leads, only to see a beautiful chestnut skin lady dressed in a golden dress, covered in injuries. Concerned for the goddess-like lady, she cleans up the wounds on her, finishing up slouches down the wall. Resting her head on her legs, slightly shivering at the coldness. When the injured goddess places a silk blanket over her, she softly thanks her.
Everyone's eyes glued to the beautifully gripping scenes, shook their souls, and could not turn away. At the two beautiful ladies, being trapped in a cave away from the societal pressure or danger, shyly sneaking peeks at one another. Lying together, they drew the audience into the play, momentarily forgetting about their prejudiced thoughts, beaming eyes stuck on the lovely couple and as the scene plays out in front of them. As they saw time go by, the two ladies grew closer day by day, until the harp started playing a bitter tune, accompanied by the flutes’ freely whispering in the background. Sounding awfully similar to the tune, in the beginning scene.

She clenches her fist lying on her leg, scared of where the scene’s heading. Briefly glancing over to Minny's, nervously biting her nails, blue eyes quivering. Impatient at what’s happening next.
The man they perceived as the groom. In the beginning, the scene tore down in the cave's direction. The ladies lived in and followed by troops marching after him. Swords hanging on their waist, stopping in front of the cave and the angry groom entered, grasping his sword.
The audience peered on hopefully, knowing that things may end up taking turns for the worse.
Dashing into the cave, to see his future bride lying in the arms of another lady. Angered at his discovery, he clenches his sword, creeping up towards the couple on the bed. Thrusting his weapon at the goddess’s heart, to be interrupted by his bride pushing the sleeping lady away. Taking a stab to her chest, blood leaking out of her mouth and staring at her lover, collapsing onto the bed.
The goddess awakens to see her bloody, covered lover and her groom, eyes angrily glaring at her. She wraps her arms tightly around her dead lover's body, weeping to herself at the loss of her lover.
Suddenly the groom and his troops began coughing out blood, eying the goddess' that’s gone mad repeatedly, cursing them, terrified. Crashing into the ground slowly dying, as the goddess cursed fate and herself repeatedly. Sobbing out bitterly, “It’s my fault…. It’s all my fault!”
Taking out a green leaf, placing it into her mouth, and eating it, sorrowfully eying her lover.
Collapsing next to her dead lover, forever ending her pain and grief, a tear fell down her face.
The bitter tune finally ended. She glances up at the beautiful white stage, which’s now tarnished, disgusted at the evil groom and saddened by the bitter deaths of the two forbidden lovers. Met with a cruel end, red strings cut off.
The curtains closed, leaving the people to ponder about what occurred in front of them. Internally conflicted at the tragic ending and left to revalue their previous thoughts. A younger man spoke in a low voice, “Maybe our kingdom was wrong, we all are.” Talking to the older man next to him, that covered his daughter's eyes, previously.
“Son, have you’ve gone mad! Our lord’s never wrong. Didn’t you see their bitter end, for ‘loving’ one another!” The older gentleman shouted angrily, trying to talk sense into his son.

Hearing no response, the man yanks his daughter out of her seat disappointed at his son’s defying him, yelling angrily.” I didn’t raise such a son as you! Stay or leave your choice!” Sprinting out of the show.
His son sighs, bitterly staring up at the closed curtains and beautiful night sky. Jumping hurriedly out of his seat, staring toward his father and deciding. He dashes after his father, burying his opinions in the back of his mind.
Overhearing the father and sons’ conversation, Sunny wonders if her parents would say the same to her and Minny's relationship. She had to come up with a way to protect her and her girlfriend from being separated. So what if this kingdom doesn’t accept us will go elsewhere? Glancing at her minny that’s sadly gazing at the stage.
I must make my minny, not sad anymore. Smiling at her girlfriend’s tear-streaked face, stretching her hand out and softly patting minny’s back.
“Thanks for cheering me up, bunny.” Minny softly said, glancing in her direction with a wry smile. Placing her arm on minny’s shoulder, eyes meeting one another.
“Minny let’s go to the pond!” Trying to lighten the mood up. Entwining their hands together, striding towards their destination.
She and Minny sauntered through the icy path, eyes skimming over the star-covered sky, passing by white blossom trees. Towering the sky, blue frosted pond, icy winds blowing into their faces. Her shivering hand clinging on to her girlfriend’s. Pitch black sky lit by the snowflake lanterns floating freely.
Her worries faded to the back of her mind. Guiding her minny beside the ponds. Over to swing, hanging on the beautiful tree and sitting on it. Rumbling erupted out of minny’s stomach and pitifully glanced at her.
“Minny, let me get something to eat.” Striding off to a food stall, inhaling the scent of roasted pork sticks and meatiness spreading through the air.
Taking out her bag of money, hurrying off in the stall's direction. There she exchanges silver, grabbing the meat sticks and peach tea. Steadily going back to feed her minny.
“Minny boo, here’s some meat and juice.” Handing over the food to the minny slouch against the tree. Popping her head up, brushing brown curls out of her face. Mouth drooling at the sight of the deliciousness, grabbing the stick of meat out of her hand.
Sinking in her teeth to the juicy, fragrant meat entering her mouth. Munchkin down, ignoring her girlfriend, sat beside her. Silently crying at being abandoned by her minny, stuffing the meat into her mouth.
Her brown eyes mesmerized at the sight of her girlfriend’s chestnut face, covered in meat grease and peach tea. In a world of her own, happily eating, gazing at the beautifully lit sky. Peach blossom lanterns lying across the starry night sky.
Gulping down her tea, glancing at the goofy girl she’s dating. Minny wipes her face, putting on her face mask. Her white eyes catching hers, gently patting her arm.
“Bunny, I have a serious question for you.” Seriously eying her,
“Ask away my lady.” jokingly at her minny. Earning minny’s death glare.
“Bunny, this is serious. If I were to leave... would you cry or laugh?" Shocked at minny’s words, reminded by the play. Grasping minny's warm icy hands, gently whispering to her.
“Minny, I would rather cry than laugh, if you ever left me,” Clenching onto her soft hands, afraid she'll disappear from her sight.
“Bunny, I would never leave of my accord.” Slightly smiling at her. Gently rubbing her shiny golden hair.
“My lady, promise me” She worriedly eyed her minny, scared.
“My bunny, I promise.” Continuing comforting her. Softly wrapping her arms around her body, pecking her cheek. Instantly flushing her olive skin. Resting her head on her shoulder, staring at the sky.
Holding one another's hands, tightly clenching on to one each other. Staring at the beautiful scenery around them, unaware of the intense blue bead eye, silver hair girl behind the beautiful white tree listening in on their intimate moment. Turning onto her feet, rushing off. I hopped into a golden carriage, racing toward the royal palace.
