《Gabriel "The Bastard Son"》New Classmates

Gabriel and Mak have packed their things and were now ready to leave for the airport when something came in Gabriel's mind, something that he should have thought from the first moment that they decided to take this trip...
Gabriel-Wait, I just thought of something.
Mak-What?
Gabriel-How the hell are we going to find this guy if we don't know how to speak Japanese?
Mak-That's not a problem.
Gabriel-How is that not a problem?
Mak-I will cast a spell called Language of Babel.
Gabriel-Fancy name, what is that?
Mak-This spell is basically a global translator for all human languages.
Gabriel-Cool.
Mak-It was named based on the Babel Tower story.
Gabriel-What?
Mak-Long ago...
Gabriel-Oh crap.
Mak-Don't interrupt a man who tells a story.
Gabriel-Maybe if I was interested.
Mak-Long ago, the arrogant creature that was "man" wanted to reach into the heavens and see god with his own eyes...
Gabriel-Do you have to say it like this?
Mak-I will say it any way I want, just be cool for once in your life.
Gabriel-Hmm...
Mak-He decided to gather all his fellow men to build a tower so high that it would reach into God's realm, the tower was called "The Tower of Babel"...
Gabriel-Yes I heard that, go on...
Mak-God found out about this plan, he destroyed the tower and made all humans speak a different tongue so that they couldn't talk to each other and never be able to work together again to build the tower.
Gabriel-Are you done?
Mak-Anyway, this spell will allow us to understand Japanese and for others to understand what we are saying.
Gabriel-You should have skipped the whole story thing and said that instead.
Mak-Where is the fun in that?
At this point, Kevin came into the living room just before Gabriel and Mak left for the airport...
Kevin-Are you ready?
Gabriel-Yes, we have to leave now in order to catch the plane.
Mak-That wouldn't have happened if you had woken up earlier.
Gabriel-Fuck you, there was a good movie on TV last night.
Mak-The one with the serial killer? That's terrible.
Gabriel-Well I liked it.
Kevin-Before you go, Gabe, I finished the Draconic Gauntlet.
Gabriel-Ok...
Kevin-Take it with you, I want you to get used to it, it's going to be in your arsenal soon enough.
Gabriel-Sure, I'll wear it under my coat.(So if anyone sees it I won't have to say it's stupid name.)
Kevin-I haven't run all the tests on it yet so if you find any more information about it, tell me.
Mak-We have to go, where is Carmen? Doesn't she want to say goodbye to us?
Kevin-Carmen is a bit frustrated cause she couldn't come along.
Gabriel-Well, let's go...
Gabriel and Mak left the house and begun their way for the airport, as they closed the door behind them, Mak left a note outside of the front door...
Gabriel-What is that?
Mak-That's for Kevin.
They went to the airport and they managed to barely catch the plane, once they were on the plane and it was about to take off Gabriel wanted to ask Mak something...
Gabriel-Hey.
Mak-What?
Gabriel-Do you remember what Koma said?
Mak-The Shinigami?
Gabriel-Yeah, he said something about a true god of death.
Mak-What about it?
Gabriel-He said that this god of death's return is the reason he went rogue, what do you think he was talking about?
Mak-No idea, maybe he found a new master.
Gabriel-Who?
Mak-I don't know, a different god?
Gabriel-Can they do that?

Mak-What happens between deities stays between deities, I couldn't possibly know what policies they have.
Gabriel-Is that so?
Mak-Get a bit closer, I will now cast the spell.
Gabriel-Ok.
Mak raised his hand and started chanting the spell...
Mak-Per potestas humana lingua et salutare, nos tibi ad linguam Babylonis.
Gabriel-Well?
Mak-You are an idiot.
Gabriel-Fuck off.
Mak-You understood that.
Gabriel-Yeah?
Mak-I just spoke German.
Gabriel-It worked?
Mak-It did.
Gabriel-How can you cast spells like that?
Mak-This is nothing, it's a simple spell that anyone could cast with just the chant, it doesn't require any power or catalyst to work.
Gabriel-Wow.
Mak-Cool huh?
Gabriel-No, I just thought that you truly are useless apart from the encyclopedia in your head.
Mak-Good night.
Gabriel-You are going to sleep?
Mak-Yeah, I caught the movie last night to, I haven't slept at all.
Gabriel-Whatever.
The airplane arrived at Tokyo, the capital of Japan, once they stepped out of the airport the number of people there amazed both of them, thousands of people walking by them and not a single one paid attention to two foreign people that
just arrived, it was like everyone was in his own little world where nothing matters except themselves, in the huge mass of people they noticed someone holding a sign with their names, just like last time, someone from the school had come to
pick them up and just like last time, Mak was disappointed by the fact that Kevin gave their real names instead of what he wanted...
Mak-I told him to say that our names were Gabriel and Ace.
Gabriel-This again?
Mak-Whatever.
Jo-Helo boys, my name is Jo Sumiteru, nice see you.
Gabriel-It's ok, we know Japanese.
Jo-I tried my best to speak English, I am happy to see you arrived, I am going to take you to the boys' dorm of the school, that's where you two are going to stay while you study at our school. Good, hey?
Mak-Boy's dorm?
Jo-Yeah, we don't want you to mess around with the girls now, hey?
Mak-So the girls stay at a different place?
Jo-Yeah, the place that the girls stay is close enough to your place but, there is a big strong guy who patrols the area for anyone suspicious, hey?
Gabriel whispered to Mak...
Gabriel-It's happening again...
Mak-What is?
Gabriel-What's the matter with this people?
Mak-Don't tell me you wanted to mess with the girls of the school.
Gabriel-I meant the way he talks.
Mak-Oh...
Jo-And this strong guy is going to punish you if he sees you going to the girls' dorm, hey?
Mak-Ok, we get it, don't mess with the girls.
Jo-Yeah, let's go Gabriel, Mak.
Jo, the person who was responsible for the boys' dorm took Gabriel and mak with his car, they drove all the way to the school gate where he showed them the main school building, the huge metal gate was surrounded with red brick that stretched
all around the school grounds, the place was like a small village with lots of buildings housing different clubs, inside school grounds was also a park, a cafeteria and a shopping mall, the two-meter high brick wall encased the entire place, there was
only one way in and out of school grounds and that was the metal gate that they were standing, the place was full of trees and small walkways that spread in different paths each leading to a different location within the school, after Jo showed them the building that housed all the male students of the school, he brought them inside and showed them their room, it was way different than the one they had in England, the room for two was much bigger and inside was a two huge beds with a side table at each one, there was a big carpet on the floor with Japanese writings and the walls were full with paintings, there was a seperate bathroom for each person and each bathroom had it's own bathtub and toilet, the room was like a small appartment, besides the room where the beds were, there was also a space like a living room with a small table and pillows all around it, a tv that had satelite channels and was conected to a gaming console. Both Gabriel and Mak were amazed by the size of the room as well as the interior, Jo left them there and told them to rest for the day, he gave them a schedule of the class and the restaurant as well as a schedule of the working hours of the mall...

Gabriel-This place is awesome.
Mak-How much did Kevin spend to send us here?
Gabriel-Shit, now I feel even worse about his car.
Mak-With this amount of money he could buy a better one.
Gabriel-Have you considered that he might have emotional ties with his things and it's not just a matter of money?
Mak-Maybe, well now I feel bad about his car too.
Gabriel-Let's see what games are on the console.
Mak-Seriously?
Gabriel-What?
Mak-Do you remember that there is a death spirit back home?
Gabriel-Oh yeah.
Mak-Let's settle our stuff and take a walk around the school.
Gabriel-Sure...
Gabriel and Mak unpacked and they headed out of the dorm, they walked all around the outer edge of the school and they saw multiple students who all looked at them with interest, they didn't have a chance to talk to anyone, after a couple of minutes they decided to take a look at the park, the place was full of cherry blossoms, there was a small walkway and a wooden fence separated it from the cherry blossoms, multiple benches were placed and many students passed along the way, many of them didn't even pay attention to them, it was now about time for bed and the school's strict policy of night time didn't allow for students to roam the school at late hours, soon enough Gabriel and Mak had to go back to their room...
Gabriel-Well...
Mak-What?
Gabriel-All we did was to walk around like a couple of idiots when we could have played on the console.
Mak-What's the matter with you and that console?
Gabriel-I didn't have a console at the orphanage, ok?
Mak-That's the savior of the world!
Gabriel-...
Mak-Tomorrow after class we are going out to a nearby shrine, I hope that we can come across an Onmyoji.
Gabriel-Fair.
Morning came by and both Gabriel and Mak woke up and got ready for class, they met someone in the hallway when they were on their way to class...
Mrs.Misa-Hello boys, my name is Kurokawa Misa, I will be your teacher and responsible for this class, I will take you two inside now to meet the other students.
Mrs.Misa opened the door and told Gabriel and Mak to wait until she called for them...
Mrs.Misa-Good morning class, today we are going to welcome two young boys, they are not from around here and I expect you to be nice to them, if I see anyone being mean to them without any reason I will severely punish you, say hello to Gabriel and his brother Mak, both of them will be your new classmates. Gabriel and Mak walked inside the classroom, instantly they noticed the looks on every student's face, some girls smiled at them and some seemed overjoyed, most boys in the class had a rude grin on their face apart from one, a big guy with lots of
muscle smiled at them with all his heart, some boys didn't even look at them and Gabriel noticed a strange girl, she had long dark hair and a pink ribbon tied around her neck, she was pale and she looked at Gabriel with a mean look, as if she saw someone she knew she would hate, there was also one more guy who looked at thim the same way, a short skinny guy with messy dark hair and a torn uniform, he clearly didn't like them, the tall strong guy with the brown hair had someone else next to him, his smile and joy of the two new classmates were so vivid that the one next to him was almost not noticeable, a boy with curly blonde hair and pale skin, his hair was obviously styled with some sort of hair product and it seemed like he was well built as well, he had a worked out body but nowhere close to that of the person next to him, these two and the two that looked at them mean were the first who caught their attention, the teacher asked them to select a place to sit and after a brief catching up for the two new students she begun the lesson. Gabriel felt a little embarassed, he once again felt like an outcast at school, Mak noticed it and whispered to him...
Mak-Mate, chill out.
Gabriel-I...
Mak-Look, I know you are a wuss but now we are on a mission, don't act like an idiot or we might get in trouble.
Gabriel-Ok.
Mak-Also, this girl in the front hasn't stopped staring at you.
Gabriel-Why?
Mak-Who knows, maybe she likes you.
Gabriel-With that look, I think she hates me.
Mak-Also there are others who have taken interest in you, see this huge guy and the guy next to him?
Gabriel-Yeah.
Mak-They also peeked a couple of times at you, also this ugly dude in the back hasn't stopped looking at you.
Gabriel-He looks like the class bully.
Mak-Don't tell me after you fought a demon in hell you are afraid of a bully.
Gabriel-Well, it's not the same thing...
Mak-What an idiot.
Now Gabriel and mak are in class, after the class ends for today they plan to visit a local shrine in search of an Onmyoji, they will have to look hard because they now have five days to find one and return home before the binding spell on Koma fades and he is free, time grows short and pressure rises, for now, even if it seems stupid, Gabriel has to endure once again the feeling of being an outcast in a class, this hasn't happened while he was in England but the strange look that some students had has made him anxious and the constant staring didn't help either, there are a couple classes before he can get out and go the shrine, Gabriel has to fight this feeling until class is over for today...

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
