《Shining Duos》Kung Peng Trial (1)

As soon Brenda made the first step in the door, she got assaulted with powerful frenzy winds storming the space. She immediately had to gather up some Qi to form an aura around herself presently to keep stabilize.
The winds were that strong as usual with her enhance Origin Formation body even regular tornado caused by natural factors wouldn't be enough to affect her. Once finished stabilizing, she took a look around the airy space.
Her eyes came across a vast field of sand that seemed to stretch on for miles. She couldn't clearly see any end to it, and the area was empty. Suspicions grew in her mind, but try as she might, to sense something nothing came up.
It was only her and this vast field of sand here, only to her shock when attempting to spread her spirit sense out, she was majorly limited compared to her natural standard.
Typically she could sense out for miles, yet now she was limited to a few feet in front of her. Already this trial is proving itself to be more mysterious than she initially thought and prepared to be even more cautious.
The only option she had now was to take a step forward but soon realize there was a challenge. The wind became even more chaotic as promptly she lifted her foot, almost throwing her to the ground.
This time she had to pour fifty percent of her Qi into her protection aura just to keep balance, and she manages to take one small step from this. But the wind didn't decrease in it's intensity still blaring around the space.
Oddly enough, she notices none of the sand was being swept up by the wind; however, she didn't have time to pay attention to that.
'Tch, this is outrages! If it were some ordinary Origin Formation person, they would've been throw all around this place. That damn Kung Peng.' Brenda cursed the mythical beasts trial and was rapidly thinking on how to advance.

Likewise, if she unleashed her bloodline and went full power, it would only drain her energy quickly and leave her vulnerable to the rest of the trial. And even with the resources, she has on her; she didn't think it would also be enough to get through the wind.
Out of all options, she started to think back to Senior Alar and his words.
He was boastful and almost arrogantly confident in his ability in speed. And yet the other beasts seemed to tactically agree with Senior Alar of being the fastest among them.
Was he even fast enough to surpass time? It was a ludicrous statement, but there may be some truth to it, Brenda thought.
And this line of thinking got Brenda a small idea as she started to prepare her Qi. Golden white aura blazed at an intense rate around her, and a Qi sword formed in her hands.
She closed her eyes for a bit focusing and in a couple second open it back up screaming;
"Slaying Sword!"
In an instant, using her skill, she tore through the wind moving a few feet up with some wind resistance. And yet the force of the wind wasn't nearly as much when she took the first step earlier.
Slaying Sword was a humane rank cultivation offensive skill. Nevertheless, it could be considered a high tier one. It puts the user in an absolute focus state of mind where they synchronize with their sword and blast to their target at incredible speeds.
Such speeds that Brenda couldn't even achieve at full power, but it was only for a short distance. Her tearing through the wind got her to think even harder now and try something different this time.
Igniting her bloodline, she pushed herself to the max and tried to run threw the wind this way, although she was met with hard resistance and could barely make it past a few inches now.

And during this bout, the wind rose majorly in intensity. It had managed to make bloody cuts across Brenda's face and slice her clothes.
Stopping Brenda was filled with minor cuts spilling blood just from these slight inches of moving.
'If it's like this, then maybe I can use 'Slaying Sword' in another way.'
She hypothesized, and this time she kept her bloodline on as she charged up 'Slaying Sword' again. In her bloodline state, every part of her abilities got insanely boosted, including her senses and comprehension.
Instead of the quick releases, she has done in the past while using this skill, Brenda now opted to feel every sensation in using this move, something she has never done before.
It never crossed her mind as this main skill advantage for her come to instantaneous and deadly strikes. But now, because of various enhancement she received, Brenda was able to slowly sense how Qi moved throughout her body while performing this attack.
A minute passed, and she flashed only a couple of feet forward this time but gained some insight on this skill. In the minute, she felt the precise movement of her Qi and the sensation when tearing through the air.
She still felt some resistance when moving, although it still came less than when she first used the skill.
It was like her Qi propel her to flow with the winds, naturally being able to break through any resistance the chaotic wind gives.
Like a switch that went off, Brenda now closed here eyes and charged up' Slaying Sword' again but didn't move from her spot for minutes on end. No movement came, and even the Qi she was charging up suddenly vanished.
With her eyes still closed, she took a step only now; it was like her foot was weightless and flowed naturally with the chaotic wind. No resistance met when her foot made the step despite when the wind picked up intensity.
Once her foot landed on the ground, though, sweat poured down her face, and she almost collapses from that single step.
'Haah, so it can work like this.' She tiredly thought but still had a small smile growing on her face.
What she did now was using all the Qi gathered from 'Slaying Sword' and concentrated it in one spot. By doing so, she got to focus on how to move and tear the wind with a single step.
While she still hadn't made it far at all, Brenda was becoming increasingly hopeful as she also started to touch upon a hidden and new sensation.
This new sensation amazingly mysterious and profound, making Brenda feel as if she came upon an entirely new tier of power. Although this new feeling left it as soon as it came further, decreasing Brenda energy.
Thankfully before coming to the trial, Kazami and they distributed Qi energy pills in case situations like this happen.
All the while Brenda was experiencing bouts of enlightenment, Senior Alar was getting more shocked with each little progression she had.
Even at the adjusted level, to be able to stand against his chaotic winds was astonishing for him as even middle stages Ruler Transformation cultivators would have a hard time keeping balance even with their Qi.
And yet she not only just used her base Qi but also manage to use some attack and tore through the winds as well.
But the biggest shocker came from the single-step she had taken. Senior Alar had his entire sense on Brenda, and at that time, he unquestionably felt her perfectly move through the wind.
'It only been thirty or forty minutes at most and yet she starting to touch upon the first level of Speed intent... What kind of terrifying genius are you?'
