"Captain Jane! We searched around and found nothing odd or suspicious. I believe we're good to go." Standing in an exaggerated salute pose, the journal man informed Jane. He was at the front of the group while the others merely rolled their eyes at his odd behaviour.

"Yea, yea but still keep your guard up fool. You never know what could happen." The pike girl snorted and jested to him only getting the journal man to quote her in his book.

Only during this brief exchange, Captain Jane could've sworn she felt the air around her pick up in intensity for a second. Being at the intermediate level of Heaven Ruler and stronger than the other, she could more clearly sense the fluctuation of Qi.

Yet when spreading out her heavenly spirit sense, nothing came to her field of vision. Even if it was only some odd and strange coincidence, Captain Jane didn't dare to make any mistakes.

She wrinkled her eyebrows and spoke out with a commanding tone,

"Alright, let's proceed, but all of you stay prepared!"

"Yes, Captain!"

Getting into an orderly position with Captain Jane at the back and the rest in front, they begin to walk until the gauntlets man notices a strange oddity.

The pitch-black forest drowns out any colourful plants or trees, making it significantly harder to see unless one has good eyesight. Yet the man saw while looking around unique purplish-white flowers?

Captain Jane, who he thought would've for sure picked up on this detail was more so in a deep state of sense. She couldn't leave the strange feeling in the air go.

He was confused as the other two weren't focused on it, only making sure they were ready to jump into actions. However, he couldn't sit well with a dreading feeling blossoming inside his chest.

The gauntlet man holds his hand stopping the others as he immediately spoke up,

"Hey, guys have you notice this whi-"

'BOOOOM!'

A catastrophic explosion of slaughtering and destructive Qi ranged out in the forest harming the group of five.

"AHHHHH!" All of them didn't feel any Qi nor aura yet as soon the gauntlet man started to say white, a tremendous shocking power wrapped them up.

The forest shook as the ground quacked and leaves spiralled away in the air.

The four of them all flew backwards as blood spew from their mouths, and their clothes were dyed red. Obviously, they wouldn't be near as injured if they had adequately defended themselves, yet they were given no such luxuries.

In the hidden explosion attack as well something heavily impacted their minds, arousing their blood lust. The sensation of slaughtering slowly fill their minds as killing intent slowly rise in them.

"WHO!! YO-" Captain Jane roared as she and her team bounced right back up with a ferocious look, however, as Captain Jane was furiously yelling her words abruptly stop.

Looking in front of her through the darkness, two bright purple silver eyes gleamed a piercing shine that bore into her soul.

Her entire being froze up, and intense dread filled her at this moment.

It wasn't just her as well as the other three were in much of statue-like shock state. None of them couldn't even react to hard purple scales wrapping around their bodies, squeezing them intensely.

Although the nightmare for them was only becoming worse as in a split second,

'Chi!'

A clean and concise sword strike resounded in the explorer group ears. Captain Jane, the journal man and pike girl, struggle to turn their head around only to be terrified at a haunting site.

High in the air was the gauntlet man head with a trail of blood gushing from his neck.

"AH! AH! REN!" The journal shrieked in terror and grief, watching his close friend die with no resistance.

His death fueled the group, killing intent to a high level as their bodies began to violently struggle against the purple scales. Though it only took a small second for a white flash to blind the group eyes.

Once reopening them, pike girl was face to face with the same powerful soul stopping purple silver eyes. Her brain didn't get a chance to keep up as her body froze up once again.

'Chi!'

The girl didn't even have a chance to scream before a white sword Qi punctured through her brain, instantly killing her. In a mere three seconds after Ren death, she died as well. And the journal man with Captain Jane only felt their minds become more chaotic looking over to the girl.

Their eyes open like a saucer, as a rush of feeling, swirled in their minds. On the one hand, watching their teammates get killed like nothing frantically aroused their blood lust.

But there was also a deep growing fear about the person who was even able to accomplish this.

Such a terrifying person is their next targets!

Despite this growing realization, the person attacked again. The same blinding white flash grazed the two eyes again. And in the instance they blink, the two saw dozens of purple flowers surround them.

And immediately when they gazed upon the flowers,

'BOOOOM!'

All of them gleamed a dazzling purple colour exploding with immense power. The purple scales were broken off as they were sent flying once again, only this time the journal man felt fear from the bottom of his heart.

He only had a couple of seconds to see purplish-green tentacles chasing after him with minimal ways to defend himself.

With his minds in a chaotic state and tanking two powerful explosions back to back, the man could barely gather any heavenly Qi to defend himself.

Though it didn't matter as the tentacles ruthlessly shot through his body, killing him on the spot. While the man died, Captain Jane crashed hard into the ground, her body aching with extreme pain.

Looking up, she was able to saw another gruesome scene. Held up in the air pierced through by tentacles, caused Jane to snap.

Now her mind fell entirely into the slaughtering sensation, as her eyes became bloodshot falling into complete madness. Heavenly Qi frantically surged around as she roared,

"I'LL RIP YOU APART!!" But as soon she did scream, four tremendous power locked on to her dramatically increasing her pressure.

The forest was thrown into chaos, the ground trembled as a white golden Qi sword flashed in her face. Above her, purple scales hand came tearing down, and to her left side was a purple rose while to her right was a dark red lightning fist.

She was wholly entrapped by their combined powers. If it was before this amount of energy would've made her feel pressure, but Captain Jane could've dealt with it.

Now she could only desperately create yellow earth Qi walls in a quick form of defence, though it matters little.

'Chi!'

The four attacks shredded her walls like tofu piercing deep into her!

Captain Jane couldn't even gaze upon her killers as her vision instantly fade to black. A fifth level Heaven Ruler died just like that without any struggle or resistance.

A feat done is by second-level Origin Formation juniors! If one to witnessed this scene, all of their knowledge about cultivation would be turned upside down.

Though the main reason they were able to accomplish it so quickly was because of the cloaks. The element of surprise was entirely in their hands.

"Now that! That was a rush!!" Brenda passionately claimed as she dispersed her sword of Qi inside Captain Jane head. Her cute face was currently sweating, and she was panting a bit but nevertheless felt excited.

"Heh, they didn't even know who killed them in the end. All of the faces were so pitiful and laughable, yea this way is also good!" Kuzumi was chuckling to herself as she swiped off the blood from her Qilin scales.

"It truly did go off without a hitch...remarkable! Our future endeavours will become even more devious something I can tell will bring joy to you two." Lun Yuo told as she left her rose inside Captain Jane, believing it a fitting way to send her off.

And with a flash of white Brenda appeared in front of Lun Yuo taking her hands to rapidly shake them,

"Yuo your mind is the work of gods! No! Beyond gods! You have to take charge of every plan from now you hear me!?"

"Hmmm, you know she has a point Yu. Everything about this plan was perfect, and you came up with it in mere minutes. You could be our little strategic rose." Kazami praised her with a huge smile causing Lun Yuo to blush but also starting to feel dazed from Brenda rapid shaking.

"D-dear Brenda, please stop, I can't keep up with your energy." As she was pleading Kazami turned to look where the egg was seeing the same strange entity floating over it.

"Alright, alright let's go and see what this egg about. Now I'm more than sure that entity called us over because it's pretty weak." Kuzumi stated and began walking to the egg while Brenda dragged the slightly dazed Lun Yuo.

Although her words did get Kazami to think more of this entity as it probably knew the egg would be found soon. And it clearly didn't have enough power to defend it calling upon his team.

Yet he didn't quite understand why them correctly?

Maybe it was because they were closest by or this entity could see their potential. Either way, Kazami shook his head of these thoughts as he doubts this figure will answer his questions.

Once the four made it over, the egg has much more detail appearance so up close. There were unknown weird markings carved all the egg exuding an enticing feel for if anyone were to gaze upon it.

The entity out of everyone now had its gaze firmly locked on Kazami, yet he was also securely locked on to the egg.

"So what should we do with this...Oh, wait! Don't tell me this is where we gonna gain a beast companion?!." Kuzumi said dramatically making Lun Yuo who still was holding on to Brenda's hand, roll her eyes but Brenda sent her a questioning gaze,

"What kind of beast would even come out such an odd egg??" But before Kuzumi could respond, Kazami walked up the egg putting his hand on it.

And the effect was immediate as out if his control, the feather marking on his face gleamed a blinding silver light. Such intensity caused Lun Yuo and Brenda to shield their eyes, while Kuzumi felt a burning sensation.

The silver light lasted for a few seconds, and once it died down the egg was gone!

So was the strange entity that staring at him and yet Kazami felt not a single bit different. He previously only felt an unusual attraction to touch the egg, but his hidden divine powers just abruptly reacted on its own.

There was no foretelling of any kind inside his bodies leading him to become endlessly confused on what just transpired.

"Hey, soo what the hell happen?" Brenda question as Lun Yuo similarly held a confused gaze, but Kuzumi seemed lost in thought.

"I don't know? My divine powers just swallowed the egg, I guess?" Kazami half halfheartedly answered still looking at the spot where the egg resides.

"Haaah, so anticlimactic. Nothing we can do now but get some cosy sleep!" Brenda said which did get Kazami awake from his stupor as he knew comfortable it was to 'sleep' with the girls.

Though he did saw Kuzumi thinking look causing him to say,

"Just forget it Kuzumi, we can barely even use our divine powers as of now. I'm sure in the future we'll come to understand. Now girls?"

As he was talking to her, Kazam began to walk a bit away from the egg spot. Finding a reasonable distance, he leaned on a large tree, patting his legs. And instantly his lap was taken by Brenda who snuggled up comfortably on him.

Thinking about his brother words, Kuzumi just shrugs as she also knew there was nothing that could be done and saunter over to Kazami right side.

"Eh, But you know we're quite literally sleeping close to some corpses?"

"It's not like we're right next to them! Besides I'm too tired to walk back to the other spot now..." Brenda dreamily sighed though Kuzumi could only shake her head as this girl was just now full of energy

"Think of it as a more authentic experience Kuzumi. Also, with our cloaks, it matters little where we sleep. Yu, is something holding you up?"

With Lun Yuo she was wrinkling her lovely nose talking while walking,

"From the start of our journey until now nobody ever had put up the thought of a bath. Now I actually wish we reach Veiled City soon."

She grumbled snuggling up closely to Kazami left side while Kuzumi left a hefty laugh telling her,

"Yu ever since we got into Spirit Formation our bodies is basically cleaned every day with Qi! We can roll in the dirt and still be clean by simply cultivating."

"Maybe, though the bath experience is pleasant..."

"Alright how about this once we get to Veiled I'll treat you, girls, to a nice hot steamy bath." Saying that he felt stirring from his laps and left side as the girls looked at him with stars in their eyes.

"Are you serious?!"

"Isn't it only natural I treat my cute girlfriends with the more beautiful things in life? Now let get some rest. Oh! And of course, I'll treat my beloved lil sis to something equally as unique too." Kazami smiled and wrapped his arms around tight against Lun Yuo and Kuzumi while Brenda practically melted into his chest.

Though unknown to Kazami, Kuzumi held a burning blush as heart began to speed up since Kazami would give her, her own special time. She held a goofy smiled, feeling warmer being in his embrace.
