《NEVER JUDGE》Chapter 11

Back at Mor Co. Ian brought in some papers for Cedric to sign, his hand was already hurting from the amount of paperwork that needed his signature.
“Do I really need to sign all of these? Isn’t there a cheat?” Cedric asked.
Ian just laughed and told him there was none.
Camilla entered and announced that the interior designer had arrived.
“Sir, your father also told me to tell you that she’s a childhood friend.” Camilla said before leaving.
Cedric suddenly began searching if any of his friends had made it big in the interior design industry but he came up blank.
“Sir, your 2 o’clock.” Camilla announced letting in a petite woman.
“Anna?” Cedric said as he recognized the woman that entered.
“Ugh, I hate that name. You clearly haven’t changed Cedric.” Anna said as she sat on his couch and placed her things on the coffee table at the center.
“I never heard about you going into design.” Cedric said, taking a seat across her.
“That’s because I go by Veronica now. Ray warned me that you stalked all of us.” Anna, or now Veronica corrected him.
“Anna Abad, you still have such a big personality in such a tiny person’s body.” Cedric laughed.
“Ram said you would be coming back so I asked uncle Emilio if you needed any help. You got lucky I don’t have any high profile clients right now.” Veronica said.
“How is your brother Ramon? Still being forced by your dad to spend less time in the office?” Ramon Abad was another of the 5 princes, he was heir to the Abad clan, a family that not only owned a lot of enterprises but had also gone down in history as heroes and politicians.

“No. Dad is now trying to convince him to get into politics. You know Ram doesn’t want any of that. He just wants the money.” Veronica said as she opened up her laptop.
“So what do you think about this office?” Cedric asked.
“Do you have the budget to redo the whole building?” Veronica said, raising an eyebrow. She didn’t doubt that Mor Co. had the budget, the question was if Cedric was willing.
“Is it that bad?” Cedric asked.
“If you want to compete with the Google’s of this world, yes it’s that bad.” Veronica laughed.
“Fine, redo the whole thing.” Cedric decided.
“Won’t you even ask me what I plan to do?”
“Anna Abad, I’ve known you since you were a child. If I didn’t listen to you, you would bully me into listening to you just like when we were kids.” Cedric said while laughing. Growing up, despite being three years younger than the boys Anna had always gotten what she wanted. It didn’t matter if she was right or wrong the boys spoiled her and were also bullied by her.
“You’re right. Anyway, I think the person that designed this building just copied it off R Tower in the 70’s.” Veronica said, commenting on the style of the office.
“Ask Camilla to get you whatever you need.” Cedric said.
“I’d like to take a tour of the building, if you don’t mind.” Veronica asked.
“Sure. My next meeting isn’t till later, I can take you around.” Cedric stood up to give Veronica a tour of the building.
“Can’t you just have an assistant show me around? I’m sure you’re really busy.” Veronica said.
“Sure, I’ll ask Camilla.”
“No not Camilla, the other one.”

“Ian?” Cedric said laughing. “You know you aren’t allowed to like guys like that.”
“Not for me you idiot! For a friend.” Veronica blushed.
“I’m warning you Veronica, your family isn’t like mine.” Cedric said in a low voice and called Ian over.
“It’s really not for me! You know my parents already have someone in mind, and he’s alright. I really just want to set him up with someone.” Veronica whispered as Ian entered the office.
Cedric gave Ian strict instructions on where to take Veronica. He also assigned Ian to help Veronica with anything she needed to redo the building’s interior.
“Veronica, I want the designs in 2 weeks. I know you have a team to do it so don’t complain.” Cedric said as Veronica left. He knew that even if he gave a deadline he couldn’t really dictate someone like Veronica.
He quickly did a google search on her new name and discovered that Veronica had set up her own design firm since graduating. Thanks to her family’s vast connections and her own skill, she had designed the homes and offices of the who’s who in society.
Even the sisters of the 5 princes were at a whole different level. His own sister was now at Harvard taking up law.
At the end of the day Cedric got up and prepared to leave. He usually took the ordinary elevator coming into work and leaving. A couple of young girls from the HR department happen to ride on the same one he was on. Since some of them knew him they couldn’t help but ask about the new and mysterious president.
“Cedric, come on tell us more about the president. The directors said he is young and good looking.” one girl nagged him. Cedric wanted to laugh when she said he was good looking.
“Is he single? Or is he dating someone? I hope he isn’t married though.” Another girl said.
“I’m sorry girls but I can’t tell you.” Cedric said lifting his arms.
“Fine. I guess we’ll see him eventually. He can’t hide in his office forever.” The first girl said, hopeful that she could snag this rich man’s heart.
